Not really. I mean, my opinions are typically formed on 20 or so minutes on Google. You lot tend to have actual hands on experience, and far more knowledge than I.

I can still ask, if you'd like.

Spree! Why you choose lolhuge 7.62 over super tiny 5.45?!

The M67 cartridge features a hollow cavity in the forward portion of the jacketing, not unlike 5.45x39mm 7N6. However, since it is 7.62, it still retains its increased barrier penetration (not quite as much due to air cavity, but still more than 5.45 due to velocity/mass). At the same time, standard lead-core M45 7.62x39mm is like an icepick, punching clean through targets with minimal wounding beyond the 7.62-diameter hole. Make it turn sideways in the target after a couple inches, and this occurs. Fired round does this in-target:

OH DEAR GOD, THE HORROR! SPREE, YOU COULD HAVE WARNED ME! YOU SHOULD HAVE WARNED ME!

Anyway... essentially what you're telling me is that the M67 uses the same basic construction as the 5.45, which gives it superior wounding effects to both the M43 and the 5.45 at the cost of a slight reduction in barrier penetration.

Anyway... basically what you're saying is that the M67 has roughly the same wounding effects (if not greater) as the 5.45, while still retaining most of the 7.62s barrier penetration.

AND HE IS OF 100% CORRECTNESS.

Well then, the pig's head leaves little room for doubt. The M67 is clearly the better cartridge.

Anyway, I'm off to bed. Its 1AM and I've got testing tomorrow.

AR-10 based shotgun and new type of ammo.

FN FAL in 5.56x45mm and using AUG mags.

Edit:

I got to shoot my friend's shotgun today. I forgot to take pics, but it was definitely a nice looking rifle. Recoil also wasn't as bad as I first thought, but after 26 or so shells my shoulder was starting to feel sore. It also turns out that I'm not a bad shot with a shotgun a ~30 metres, at least when it comes to stationary targets. Hit a can of spray paint first go, and then hit most of the targets I could see.

Still, while much nicer to hold than the SMLE or FAL, the shotgun just doesn't seem as comfortable as the AUG, although I can't put my finger on why.

I'm thinking that I ought to remove the folding stock and replace it with a buffer-tube-fitted fixed stock, though probably collapsible M4-style.

And maybe an additional variant that takes BR cartridges for no reason except for AKinallbutanameness

If it's a shotgun, the barrel seems too long on the bottom one.
But either way, it looks phenomenal. Wonderful work.

It's modelled after a UK-legal Vepr-12 shotgun. I imagine the excessive length (27") is to comply with some obscure shotgun hunting law that then permits you to own a magazine-fed semi-automatic combat shotgun.

Nyet. 5.5mm hinge-pinned AK-100-series folding stock. Remove pin and you can drop in a folding triangle stock or a folding buffer tube (not available in the US, but I have seen a handful in Russian photographs) for collapsible and folding buttstocks (they don't latch themselves into place when folded, though: just flop).

Also, got my Hogue grips in this afternoon. I will install my Makarov's and take a photo real quick.

As soon as I said 'AKinallbutanameness' I figured I ought to try a full-size folder.

Because if taking one taser round is bad, being hit by a lot of them is worse. Especially because they're expensive as hell.

By automatic, I mean semi as well.
If you suddenly find you need more than one round at all, you should probably be using plastic rounds or beanbags. Or live rounds, depending on the situation.

Taser is a niche weapon for subduing (not pacifying) a single opponent in a minor confrontation.
If you're holding a Saiga, you're probably expecting either a riot or firearm attack.
