For want of heavy equipment the platoons FOs could direct no HMGs.
For want of HMGs, the Archians had to rely on shitty fucking microcalibers.
For want of real weapons, they lost the war.

Spree! Why you choose lolhuge 7.62 over super tiny 5.45?!

Anyway... basically what you're saying is that the M67 has roughly the same wounding effects (if not greater) as the 5.45, while still retaining most of the 7.62s barrier penetration.

I'm thinking that I ought to remove the folding stock and replace it with a buffer-tube-fitted fixed stock, though probably collapsible M4-style.
And maybe an additional variant that takes BR cartridges for no reason except for AKinallbutanameness
If it's a shotgun, the barrel seems too long on the bottom one.
But either way, it looks phenomenal. Wonderful work.

Nyet. 5.5mm hinge-pinned AK-100-series folding stock. Remove pin and you can drop in a folding triangle stock or a folding buffer tube (not available in the US, but I have seen a handful in Russian photographs) for collapsible and folding buttstocks (they don't latch themselves into place when folded, though: just flop).
Also, got my Hogue grips in this afternoon. I will install my Makarov's and take a photo real quick.

BECAUSE IS DO THIS: PIG HEAD GORE: BLOOD AND BONE PRESENT. DO NOT CLICK UNLESS YOU WISH TO SEE. I DO NOT LIE, ONLY TRUTH.
The M67 cartridge features a hollow cavity in the forward portion of the jacketing, not unlike 5.45x39mm 7N6. However, since it is 7.62, it still retains its increased barrier penetration (not quite as much due to air cavity, but still more than 5.45 due to velocity/mass). At the same time, standard lead-core M45 7.62x39mm is like an icepick, punching clean through targets with minimal wounding beyond the 7.62-diameter hole. Make it turn sideways in the target after a couple inches, and this occurs. Fired round does this in-target:

I was wondering, though, what possibilities there were of a modern rifle along the style of the British Lee-Enfield SMLE. What I aim for are the looks of the Lee-Enfield with more up to date guts.
Any thoughts are gratefully received!

I've seen semi-auto conversions of the Lee-Enfield, the 1917 Enfield, Mausers, and Springfields. Were there any semi-auto conversions of the Mosin-Nagant?
