Rocket pods, cannons and on the tip of each wing a missile as long as a decent sized man. All of these painted gold as if to convey a profound feeling of bling. They emerged silently like the morning mist. Their engines shut off to protect their tacticool stealth. For a moment it seemed as if they all would just fall out of the sky. But than it all changed.
As the last of the gavins made their way out of the hangars another thing emerged. This time from the rear cargo hold. The object was large and black, pitch black. It had no wings or control surfaces and no engines. And it entered free fall as soon as it emerged. It fell for quite a while in silence. And than it happened. For a moment time seemed to stop. As if the heavenly order had all paused to take breath. Than the sky was filled with a flash of light brighter than a thousand suns. And as the flash slowly veined and the mushroom cloud formed they emerged once more. These fortresses in flight, each as armed and armored as tank brigade. Gliding on the shock wave, surfing the atomic blast.
The age of the Aerogavin had come.
