The Dagnian military has no branches, there is just the military. It is primarily a space force with little in the way of ground or sea forces. Everything is tightly integrated, so even if there is ever a need for a great deal of ground or sea force, it would still just be an extension of our space forces.

The various military branches of Koditopia are:

Army: The 'land' branch mostly dealing in ground combat. Most generalized of the armed forces.

Navy: The second-smallest branch of Koditopia's forces, as the nation is bordered only on the south by a massive, freshwater lake (the size of Superior and Erie combined). Of course, the Koditopian Navy deals with water-bourne threats, as well as working with various govt. agencies that deal with marine matters.

Air Force: This armed force deals strictly with all flying vehicles/devices that remain within the atmosphere. There are members of the Koditopian AF who are on semi-permanent loaner to other branches of the armed forces, whenever they have need of air support.

Marines: This smallest of branches is dedicated to those warriors who are the most elite, highly trained and disciplined, and most dedicated to their combat roles. They can be found functioning on their own, or as advance forces to any of the other military branches, when requested/needed. Their primary role is aggressive frontal combat.

Deep Space Operations/Ascension Corps/Exo Corps/Explorers: This very new and semi-official 'branch' of the armed forces is highly specialized to deal with whatever happens outside of the planet's atmosphere. The DSO is often given the unofficial/nick names of Exo Corp, The Explorers, and Ascension Corps by other members of the armed forces (sometimes in praise, more often tongue-in-cheek, as there haven't been very many combat situations for them to take care of in their jurisdiction, so far). This body draws most of its members from the other four military branches (though there are a few capable civilians within it, as well), and all within DSO are trained to perfection in order to understand and be able to operate safely and effectively in space.

The Rango Mango People's Defence Force (RMPDF) is arguably a single branch, consisting of land forces and an air wing. As Rango Mango is a landlocked country there is no navy.

The Keduki Space Command and the Planetary Defence Force are the two branches of our military. The KSC are responsible for all off-world missions while the PDF are responsible for missions and defence on the planet itself. As such the KSC is comprised mainly of spacefaring vessels with a small number of land troops attached (mostly out of tradition at this point) while the PDF contains a much larger infantry section, as well as armoured vehicles, suborbital aircraft and seafaring vessels.

Army: Which splits into two separate branches,
-Blitz Corps: Less about blitzing these days, but essentially the army's standard infantry, designed to fight and little else.
-Specialist Corps: Mechanics, Psy Ops, Artillery, suppliers, hospital staff, etc. structured to integrate seamlessly with Blitz Corps units as necessary.
Navy: One of the most powerful in the Mediterranean, with it's fleets aiding the US in securing the worlds waters. Has one of the largest fleets of aircraft carriers in the world. Also operates the majority of Herador's offensive aircraft.
Air Force: Mostly concerned with intelligence gathering, support for ground troops, transporting goods, vehicles and personnel and operating a wide variety of attack aircraft to better aid them in the second task.

The Carolinian Military Forces are broken up into five different branches:

-Carolinian Army: The main ground forces. There are subdivisions.
-Carolinian Navy: Mostly patrol the Atlantic and defend the coastline.
-Carolinian Air Force: A mix of jets and bombers, along with transports.
-Carolinian Special Task Forces: Called in for specific missions.
-Carolinian Home Guard: The reserves called up to directly defend the nation itself.

All forces are stationed on Fort Bragg, a massive military base.

Household Brigade - The Royal Guards
The Army - The largest branch of the armed forces in Syldania.
The Syldanian Air Force - Our Air Force, which also includes Ground Based Air Defence units.

It is worth noting that the police contain militarised elements that would be compared to special forces in other nations and have a largely anti-terrorist role.

It is also worth noting that due to Syldania at times being a part of Austria-Hungary and the German Empire, we used to have small navy, despite being landlocked. Interestingly key leaders during the inter-war period were often Admirals, as was the first regent. However the Navy was formally disbanded at the end of the second world war, despite not having had a warship under its control since 1918.

Militia, Navy, Air Force, and Homeland Security. The militia only comes into the fight when the states themselves are invaded and Homeland Security is a highly trained elite force wearing full body armor that acts as a swat team, defense force, and on rare occasions are sent behind enemy lines.

Forward, Strategic, Domestic.

Forward encompasses the basic three military groups with Earth branch, Sea branch, and Air branch. Earth is land forces, obviously. Sea = Navy and Air = Air Force.

Strategic is divided into three sub-branches: First, Guardian branch - kind of like Coast Guard combined with Marines - soldiers who can work in both land, sea and air. Special Forces are also part of the Guardian branch. Secondly, Strategic also encompasses the intelligence agency of the Iron Confederation, the Enhanced Reconnaissance Agency (ERA), under the Sentinel branch. The third branch is Command branch, which has specialized commanders who coordinate efforts between the other branches of the military.

Domestic is police forces and the Domestic Investigation Agency (DIA).
