We are located in east asia. The winter might be a pain but tsunamis damage alot of coastal poorly constructed buildings.

Hurricanes, mostly. The place is in tropical waters, so any hurricanes coming ashore will come ashore here first.
If they don't come ashore here, then it's somebody else's problem.
Earthquakes and tsunamis are also significant, but very rare.
Also, hippies are a very dangerous natural disaster, so we try to stop that from even being a problem in the first place.

Although, Epicsauce treats all natural disasters seriously and as a relevant threat, and will do all it can to keep its citizens safe. One example is the precautions we take for one of the worst natural disasters possible, a meteor impact. We have lots of sprawling underground cities cities and farms that people can live in for generations, and we have our largest and most powerful ship, the Vancer to destroy or change the direction of an asteroid. Speaking of the Vancer, it's also our best defense against an alien attack.
