New Olwe is an interstellar colony on the edge of Dekerin space. We also have space-capable fighters and armed space stations, so apparently our space program is fairly advanced.

As of lately Rakktor has been able to expand into space.
No colonies, but asteroid mining and an 8-mile long O'Neil cylinder. More is being planned, but only when we've regained larger portions of the Wastes.

The Orbital Space Command Service (OSCS) of His Imperial Majesty's Military Service serves as the primary division of the Imperial Government in charge of all space research, primarily in the field of mechanized orbital weapon system developments.

However, the OSCS also divulges a significant amount of its budget resources into space research and study. The construction and development of a space station maintained and authorized by Bahanesia is in full development, and is nearing its stage of completion.

Private space travel firms are beginning to see a rise in profits, due largely in part to the cheap costs of travel flights to Earth's orbit provided by space enterprises such as DeepLexona® and Galactice Fringes, Inc.

The Ahnilunian National Space Initiative (ANSI)
is currently working on ways to normalize both public and commercial space travel as of December 2012. Currently though, we have sent space probes to the Saturnian moon of Ganymede and to the dwarf planet of Ceres. We also use spacecraft to conduct zero-gravity experiments and regularly launch and/or maintain satellites (both military and private).

Solar Power
Solar cells provide more than 1,000 watts of power. The Space Telescope orientation remains the same as it orbits the sun, so every two months it must rotate to reposition the panels upward.
Sunshade
The shade prevents sunlight from tainting ST's measurements. Because it is so close about 20 times as bright as the average star that ST monitors.
Photometer
A light/IR/X-Ray detector tracks star in a field of view the size of 500 full moons. Every ten seconds, an onboard computer reads out how much starlight was collected by each pixel.
Cooling System
ST's sensitive detectors require temperatures of about -150 degrees Fahrenheit to operate. Ammonia, Carbon Dioxide, and propane flow through small pipes to cool the instruments.
Antenna
Once a month, ST stops observing for two days to beam more than 20 gigabytes of data to The Noble Wolf. Complex software on the ground analyzes that data to search for signs of planets and/or aliens.

At this moment, the commonwealths space program is focused around orbital satellites for services. Exploratory efforts are better pursued by those with larger amounts of disposable income than the commonwealth.
