What is your nation's government's stance on nuclear power?

Leonische relies heavily on nuclear power.

How does the public view nuclear energy? Are there widespread movements for or against nuclear energy?

There is a small anti-nuclear-power movement, but that's what to expect, you can't please everybody.

What is the most common kind of fuel used in Nuclear Power plants?

Form the most common to the lest common: Uranium > Plutonium > Thorium.

Does your nation supply its own nuclear fuel, or rather import it from other nations?

Both. About 70% of nuclear fuel is produced domestically, the rest is imported.

Has your nation ever experienced a nuclear meltdown?

No, we haven't.

What is your nation's government's stance on nuclear power? Nuclear power is to be used exclusively for civilian, non-violent purposes.

How does the public view nuclear energy? Are there widespread movements for or against nuclear energy? It is a fairly contentious issue, less-so in more recent years as a renewable energy initiative have been made to provide supplementary power throughout the whole nation over a thirty-year period. Also advances in thorium fuel have made disposal issues less of a concern.

What is the most common kind of fuel used in Nuclear Power plants? Uranium, though advances in less-powerful yet more easily disposed thorium fuel have seen a rise in its use.

Does your nation supply its own nuclear fuel, or rather import it from other nations? Both. Our biggest supplier in imported uranium is a Kulaloe'hi company called Uranleaf, which specializes in removing uranium from environmentally sensitive areas with little or no damage. They have been expanding into other nations that need their expertise over the years.

Has your nation ever experienced a nuclear meltdown? No. To ensure that one isn't caused by environmental factors no plant can be built outside of an area near the center and western regions of the peninsula - far enough north to avoid tsunamis from the south shores but not north enough for an erruption of Mt. Loylukah to cause problems; yet also away from the earthquake-prone eastern regions that's riddled with fault-lines.

If nuclear energy is outlawed, why? Is there any push to legalize it? N/A

What is your nation's government's stance on nuclear power? Perfectly okay.

How does the public view nuclear energy? Are there widespread movements for or against nuclear energy? It varies from tolerated to welcomed, but, with a very clean record, the populace is generally okay with it.

What is the most common kind of fuel used in Nuclear Power plants? Uranium.

Does your nation supply its own nuclear fuel, or rather import it from other nations? Much is supplied from Maltropia, though a lot is imported from all over the world(s).

Has your nation ever experienced a nuclear meltdown? Fortunately, no.

If nuclear energy is outlawed, why? Is there any push to legalize it?

What is your nation's government's stance on nuclear power? Actively used to supply 83% of Zarbreezan's power.

How does the public view nuclear energy? Are there widespread movements for or against nuclear energy? Nuclear energy is seen mostly as a good thing, as it is less polluting and there are strict safety regulations. There are small numbers of people that are against it, but they comprise less than 0.1% of the population.

What is the most common kind of fuel used in Nuclear Power plants? Uranium comprises 79% of all usage. Thorium the remainder.

Does your nation supply its own nuclear fuel, or rather import it from other nations? Zarbreezan supplies its own nuclear fuel, and is an exporter to several other nations.

Has your nation ever experienced a nuclear meltdown? No.

If nuclear energy is outlawed, why? Is there any push to legalize it? N/A

What is your nation's government's stance on nuclear power? Senkaku is completely powered by fusion(mainly), with a few fission plants still operating.

How does the public view nuclear energy? Are there widespread movements for or against nuclear energy? No one cares, it's a very normal thing.

What is the most common kind of fuel used in Nuclear Power plants? Deuterium or helium-3. Thorium and uranium are used in the fission reactors.

Does your nation supply its own nuclear fuel, or rather import it from other nations? We have our own uranium and thorium mines and deuterium production reactors.

Has your nation ever experienced a nuclear meltdown? Not one! :)

If nuclear energy is outlawed, why? Is there any push to legalize it? As I said, Senkaku is 100% nuclear and happily so.

We at first were 85% fission powered, with solar, wind, and hydropower accounting for the rest. Then we discovered how to make working fusion reactors, and switched to 100% nuclear. We did keep our other renewables, though.

OOC: nuclear for the most part has proven to be safe and clean except in cases of poor design, operation and location. I think the world should use it WAY more.

What is your nation's government's stance on nuclear power?

We are strong supporters of the nuclear industry and use it in all our spacecraft

[b]How does the public view nuclear energy? Are there widespread movements for or against nuclear energy?

The people hope nuclear energy is here to stay as before space travel was only for the wealthy.

[b]What is the most common kind of fuel used in Nuclear Power plants?

A varity of feuls are utilized. For example a massive freighter may have a nuclear fusion reactor due to the avalibility of the fuel (hydrogen) but a small fighter would have a small nuclear fission reactor due to it's light weight.

[b]Does your nation supply its own nuclear fuel, or rather import it from other nations?

we supply our own fuel due to extensive off planet robotic mining operations

[b]Has your nation ever experienced a nuclear meltdown?

Many a time but due to rudendant systems there has never been a major leak of radiation.

[b]If nuclear energy is outlawed, why? Is there any push to legalize it?

What is your nation's government's stance on nuclear power?
Very supportive. The power grid is run by a government company which creates 84% of all Happlettsburg's electricity, and uses mostly nuclear. The other 14% comes from solar panels and wind turbines put on buildings by their owners, as well as back-up generators.
How does the public view nuclear energy? Are there widespread movements for or against nuclear energy? Very positively, especially among gbe elderly who remember the old days when polluting power sources filled our proud city with smog. People see it as a good way to produce a lot of power in a limited space cheaply and cleanly. People are also reassured by our plants' good safety record.

Some small groups oppose nuclear, but they have little mainstream support and don't have any practical alternatives other than fusion (not feasible for 20 more years at least)

What is the most common kind of fuel used in Nuclear Power plants?
We are transitioning from uranium to thorium, and as of now in 2023 use both about evenly.
Does your nation supply its own nuclear fuel, or rather import it from other nations?
We have to import it.
Has your nation ever experienced a nuclear meltdown?
Nope, we maintain them well and don't take risks. Also no natural disasters other than drought and deluges or rain have struck them so that scenario hasn't happened.
If nuclear energy is outlawed, why? Is there any push to legalize it?
N/A

What is your nation's government's stance on nuclear power?

Although very efficient, the possibility of a nuclear meltdown is too severe, plus as Syleru is an isolationist state with little uranium reserves within our territorial boundaries, nuclear power is simply infeasible to use en masse. Our favoured type of nuclear power is the recently discovered cold fusion, which is the safest and most energy generating of all the nuclear energy methods. Therefore, very few reactor groups are still operational and used within Syleruias.

How does the public view nuclear energy? Are there widespread movements for or against nuclear energy?

Neutral. The population generally views it with fear though, due to a recent meltdown that occurred. Most consider it ecologically destructive because of the mass deforestation required to harvest enough to power our fission generators. The general populace doesn't know about our relatively experimental cold fusion reactors.

What is the most common kind of fuel used in Nuclear Power plants?

Hydrogen, protium to be exact, is used in standardized nuclear cold fusion reactors. Outdated nuclear fission reactors still use uranium, though we're looking to stamp those inefficient fission reactors out and replace them with something safer and less environmentally threatening.

Does your nation supply its own nuclear fuel, or rather import it from other nations?

Most of the time we supply ourselves with efficient mining for uranium and electrolysis of water to get protium, but occasionally we are required to import it from other nations.

Has your nation ever experienced a nuclear meltdown?

Yes, seven to be exact. The most recent was four months ago. It took a lot of effort to calm down the population, but they became passive after the reactor was cleaned up and de-radiated of all the nuclear waste and radiation. Water supplies in the area are still being scrubbed to remove toxic materials present within.

If nuclear energy is outlawed, why? Is there any push to legalize it?

N/A. Nuclear energy is still legal.

What is your nation's government's stance on nuclear power?
The Freehold of Katzen supports Nuclear Energy technology in that there are no law banning it. There are only two nuclear reactors in the Freehold (one Government ran, one Privately ran). Both are Pebble Bed Reactors.

How does the public view nuclear energy? Are there widespread movements for or against nuclear energy?
Most of the public doesn't care about it as nuclear energy is a minority proportion of the Freehold's energy production. A few fringe groups protest it (the same groups claim humans should stop breathing as much as it releases to much CO2).

What is the most common kind of fuel used in Nuclear Power plants?
Uranium and plutonium mix.

Does your nation supply its own nuclear fuel, or rather import it from other nations?
No. fissionable material is imported.

Has your nation ever experienced a nuclear meltdown?
No.

What is your nation's government's stance on nuclear power? A generally acceptable, but not a preferable, alternative to fossil fuels. Only 8% of our energy is nuclear.

How does the public view nuclear energy? Are there widespread movements for or against nuclear energy? This is a highly debated matter in the TBRE, with strong support for both sides.

What is the most common kind of fuel used in Nuclear Power plants? Most uranium is used.

Does your nation supply its own nuclear fuel, or rather import it from other nations? We supply our own nuclear fuel to prevent energy reliance on other nations, it is found in Nordica in one of our few mines.

Has your nation ever experienced a nuclear meltdown? No, we have not - safety standards and procedures are rampant in the TBRE.

If nuclear energy is outlawed, why? Is there any push to legalize it? N/A.
