Jarrod Thuman has been ordered by his doctor to retire from politics all together, but he will remain a ranking member of the Standing Committee. He has expressed his desire for Shawn Hitlay to succeed him, and it looks like that will be happening. Despite his doctor's pleas, the JNC and AotP are working together to amend the Constitution to separate the Presidency from the AotP and declare Thuman President of the JUR in what would be a mostly ceremonial role.
The Jahistic Youth Corps and Youth Without Borders have gathered in small crowds in Revolutionary Square, talking to each other. The lingering question on everybody's minds: "What's next?" What is next for the Jahistic movement? Will Hitlay continue the worldwide revolution? Will Hitlay have his own expansion of Voluntarism-Capitalism? The response was mixed among the young people.
A JYC we talked to had an optimistic viewpoint of the entire situation. "Chairman Thuman's revolutionary spirit is still alive. I know he will get better and return to his post. The Revolution needs him. We need him." A YWB, sobbing, had only thanks to give to the Chairman. "I am not a JLP member, but his Theological essays helped me grow in my faith in God. I just want to thank him for making life alot more easier for me!"
Hitlay is expected to take office as Chairman as soon as May Day. He will be leading the annual May Day rally. Chairman Thuman sent out a message via social media, not mentioning his illness. He wished the new Namorese President, Alicia Wolf, luck and wisdom in leading the large nation. Grace Aliah-Thuman is allegedly ready to resign from her political positions to spend more time with her husband. She sent out a simple message saying "Prayers needed, please." Ryan Thuman sent out his first message from an unknown location, saying that he will return to the Capital to see his father for the first time in a couple of months.
As for the JYC and YWB, they sang the New Internationale in honor of Thuman in an emotional show of affection.
