Finance Minister announces plans to pull the plug on the zalot in Riro
Image
Finance Minister Petar Zhelev

KRASIMIR, KRASIMIR - At a press conference during lunchtime today, Finance Minister Petar Zhelev stated his intentions to discontinue the use of the Katranjian zalot in Riro following its unification with Namor on New Year's Day, 2018.

Zhelev told reporters that "with the impending unification [of Riro] with Namor, combined with the fact that the usage of the Katranjian zalot in Riro has decreased by over 80% in favor of the Namorese ramon, it has become quite clear that the agreement signed between the Riroese and Katranjian governments [in 2014] to phase out the zalot over a ten-year period has not only underestimated the ability of the Riroese to switch from the zalot to ramon in a shorter amount of time than many experts have predicted but also has been overtaken by events."

"Thus, the Finance Ministry of the Kingdom of Katranjiev has proposed that following the unification of Riro with Namor, the Katranjian zalot shall be discontinued completely within Riro, and be fully replaced with the Namorese ramon within no more than a month following unification," Zhelev declared.

When asked about whether it was connected to Ling Mon's controversial proposal to ban Queen Elis from Riro if elected Premier after it becomes part of the People's Republic of Namor, Zhelev said that "it has nothing to do with the proposal made by President Ling Mon: as a matter of fact, this matter [of discontinuing the zalot in Riro] has been under consideration since the agreement [between Namor and Riro] was signed in August."

Currently, no official from Namor or Riro has issued an official statement concerning the statements issued by the Finance Ministry.

Maharakha Kashiri responds to treatment of Jathanis in Xiaodong
Her Majesty offers to meet with Xiaodongese officials to resolve the issue
Rafiq Kriplani

LAKPUR - Her Most Serene Majesty Sakina Kashiri has responded to the criminal treatment of Jathani people in Xiaodong today at a conference in Lakpur, giving the following speech:

Image
Her Most Serene Majesty held a conference
in Lakpur to address Xiaodong

"Recently, the government of Xiaodong has felt it appropriate to treat Jathani expatriates as if they were criminals. They have subjected these innocent Jathani citizens to unlawful interrogation, beatings, arrests, and discrimination. Police, government, and civilians of Xiaodong have accused these people of working as spies and saboteurs wishing to disrupt the Xiaodongese government, when in reality they are but students, parents, teachers, and tourists. They ventured to Xiaodong to fulfill a purpose, but none of the objectives sought by these Jathani ethnics involved working as spies. I can assure you with utmost certainty and transparency that the Jathani government has not hired any agents to commit acts of espionage within Xiaodongese borders. Our troops were sent to Narmada to aid the Narmadi Worker's Army in the recovery efforts of the horrible massacre that took place weeks ago in Chalamguk. We have no intention in engaging Xiaodongese troops in any sort of skirmish."

Her Most Serene Majesty went on to note that she would be willing to meet with both Narmadi and Xiaodongese leaders separately to discuss the issue,

State President Evren Volkan denounces Siphrian terrorists as "evil filth"
State President Volkan offers Siphria the Union's total sympathy in wake of attack on school.

State President Evren Volkan has offered Siphria the Union’s “unequivocal sympathies and prayers” following the barbaric attack on a boarding school which left over 100 children and staff dead and hundreds more injured. Speaking before the Supreme Assembly in a televised session, he said, “the entire Union and I am sure all of humanity stands with Siphria in wake of this heinous and monstrous attack, which must not go unpunished.” He also condemned the attackers as “worse than evil, beyond the darkest scum we have witnessed throughout history.”

The attack on the Qataniyah State Boarding School left 184 dead and hundreds more injured, in which armed gunmen stormed the school, massacring and taking children hostage. In response Siphrian security forces surrounded the school, before the Siphrian Army stormed the building, killing the gunmen and most likely, a large number of hostages.

The reaction in the Union has been described as utter horror, shock and disgust. Vast amounts of flowers and candles have been laid outside the Siphrian Embassy in Estanban, while the same has been reported at the Siphrian Consulate in Zahedan.

In a special televised address, the State President said, “what happened that day in Siphria will forever be seared into our minds and history books. Never will we forget the images of that day. I say on behalf of all citizens of the Union, of Nautasia and the world, that we stand with the Siphrian people. We stand with them against this terror” he said to applause.

“There is no justification for the complete and direct targeting of children, innocent and helpless. Who attacks children like this? Who murders children like this? Animals would be a word likely used, but not even animals condemn themselves to such barbarism” he said further.

“We have seen many across the Union offer their condolences in the form of flowers, candles to lost souls before Siphrian diplomatic missions in Estanban and Zahedan. Let that be a clear indication of this nation’s compassion for human life” he said.

Siphrian security services believe the gunmen to be tied to a small Islamic Collectivist movement in the country, which was also blamed for the bombing of an Abburite Temple some weeks ago. State President Volkan dismissed this suggestion, saying, “these people are supposedly Islamic Collectivist. This is not true, because any man or woman, Islamic Collectivist or not, who slaughters children in such a way, can never be considered an Islamic Collectivist, a Muslim, a Nautasian or even a human being.

“These scum are nothing more than that. They are not worthy of mankind and they are not worthy of Islamic Collectivism. No Islamic Collectivist, let alone a decent human being, would do this. This a false assertion by Siphria, by claiming they’re acting in name of an ideology you legitimise them as human beings and not the disgusting filth that they are” he said.

RUI permitted to pursue pragmatic course
RUI granted greater autonomy to lead "unique and precious Pisdara".
Image
Consul Shadar Kabari (L) and Prime Minister Qassem Akbari (R).

Pisdara’s Islamic People’s Movement, the largest party and Islamic Collectivist movement, has been granted special status by the Union of Islamic People’s Movements following a direct appeal by Prime Minister Qassem Akbari as deputy leader of the Union’s Islamic Union Front.

The deal came about following two days of extensive talks between Consul Kabari and Prime Minister Qassem Akbari and State Councillor Erdin Sacan.

Concern had grown over Pisdara’s response to the Union’s support of the country following the sinking of a Pisdari fishing vessel by a Saheilian Navy warship. The Union’s support was met by gross condemnation, while others in Pisdara denounced the Union further, rejecting and dismissing vast amounts of investment, diplomatic support and trade efforts.

Accordingly, some in the Supreme Leadership wished to see the RUI censured for its lack of defence for the Union’s outreach to Pisdara, but this was halted by the passionate defence of Prime Minister Akbari and State Councillor Sacan. Instead, Prime Minister Akbari secured the backing of the State Council to pursue “intimate and frank” talks with the Islamic People’s Movement, over its position within the Islamic Collectivist community.

Consul Kabari arrived in Estanban on Sunday, where he had talks with Prime Minister Akbari and State Councillor Sacan. At the talks, they discussed the RUI’s positions with regards to Islamic Collectivist thought, Pan-Nautasianism and its relationship with the Union.

Prime Minister Akbari expressed the Consul, the concerns many in the Supreme Leadership have over Pisdara’s continued “obstinate and harsh” behaviour toward the Union, which has only offered support in consolidating its independence and freedom.

“I explained to Consul Kabari the hurt many feel within the Union about Pisdara’s behaviour and attitude toward the Union. It is their belief that lingering pro-Aininian influences have seriously threatened the long-term relationship between the Union and Pisdara. Some, I explained, wanted to cease all support for Pisdara.

“I and Companion Sacan argued against that and defended Pisdara. We succeeded in securing this opportunity to talk frankly and honestly” the Prime Minister explained at a joint press-conference with Consul Kabari.

A post-meeting publication detailed the result of the talks, which will now allow the RUI to operate an “independent position, though intrinsically tied to the universal goal of Islamic Collectivism. The RUI may be permitted to pursue a platform in keeping with Islamic Collectivist positions, though unique. The RUI will continue to aspire toward a united Nautasia, though in keeping with its own position with regards to Pisdara and Nautasia.”

Essentially, we are told that the RUI is being allowed greater autonomy and freedom to operate in Pisdara. The restrictions on ideological pragmatism is being reduced, yet it must remain committed to a united Nautasia. It is hoped that by allowing the RUI to be more pragmatic, it may successfully rejuvenate public perceptions within Pisdara toward the Union.

Consul Kabari dismissed reports that his position was under threat following various outbursts of anti-UNIR sentiment in Pisdara, telling foreign reporters, “my position is safe. I am leader of the Islamic People’s Movement, I am the Consul. As long as I fight for a just, moral and secure Pisdara, I am safe. I thank State President Akbari for his support, friendship and the loving fraternal bond my party shares with the UNIR’s Islamic Union Front.”

Mazari regime offensive against Caliphate stalls with devastating losses

Image
The so-called Caliphate has successfully halted a government offensive in the town of Khan Khamouz.

The Mazari Regime’s offensive against the so-called Caliphate has completely stalled after slowing advances westward. The stalemate follows reports, though unconfirmed that government losses have exceeded 1,800 dead and 3,000 injured. Lacking major Luziycan or Aininian support, bar air power, Caliphate militants were able to successfully inflict serious losses even in defeats. The current failure will only add further pressure on the overstretched regime and raise further questions about the purpose and success of the Aininian-Luziycan intervention.

Sources in Mazaristan report that government forces were forced to halt their offensive following a crippling setback outside the town of Khan Khamouz. According to several sources, the government offensive was met with ferocious Caliphate resistance, who destroyed over 20 vehicles in coordinate suicide attacks and anti-tank guided missile attacks. This was followed by the death of Lt. General Musa Salam, who was killed in a suspected IED attack.

Then this afternoon, the Caliphate launched a successful counter-attack against government forces on the northern side of the Khaybar River, retaking over 40 villages and leaving up to 186 government soldiers dead or injured. Although the offensive was backed by powerful aircraft from Ainin and Luziyca, reports are surfacing that the Mazari Army has been highly ineffectual in utilising it or appropriately calling it in.

According to one unnamed Luziycan officer, “they [Mazaris] simply don’t understand how to request in air support, there is also the added issue that when they do, its indiscriminate, we have rules of engagement, which they simply don’t accept.” As a result, many airstrikes are called off or rejected, giving the militants time to regroup, or attack.

However, the offensive has drawn to the surface the bigger issue of the government’s near total lack of control over rural areas. The offensive west against the Caliphate has been dogged by poor logistics, owed in part to sporadic, but well-carried out raids on supply convoys by suspected Caliphate sleeper cells operating in rural villages and mountainous or hilly terrains. One such raid yesterday left over 60 government soldiers dead.
The government’s woes in the west are worsened by a growing threat within even the government’s most stable strongholds. The rise of the so-called Nautasian Freedom Defence Front, commonly known as the Black Hand has disturbed many within the Nasr regime.

The attack on the Medaina National Police Academy which left over 100 dead, including nine Luziycan officers shook loyal supporters. The effect of that attack has become such, that all Black Hand attacks now go unreported by the state propaganda machine. Yet through independent observers inside the country, we can tell you that since that attack, the Black Hand has launched 36 attacks, mostly gun attacks on police stations, courthouses and other state institutions, leaving over 230 dead.

A leaked Coalition document read, “it is now becoming apparent that the Black Hand has established a major stronghold in Midaina, Aitaroun and Zamreen. The Bashir Sadr district of Midaina appears to be the most potent stronghold. The slum is home to at least 500 Black Hand militants.”

If it is true, then the Black Hand has a solid presence deep within territory, that would normally constitute the backbone of the regime. Though, they are saying that Bashir Sadr district is the Mazari Black Hand’s heart is no surprise. Crippled by abject poverty, overflowing with the internally displaced (it is estimated that the District is now home to 400,000 people, most undocumented refugees from western Mazaristan), it is a hotbed not for Jihadism, but Islamic Collectivism.

Faced with a still-mighty foe in the so-called Caliphate to the west and a growing fifth column in loyalist regions, simmering tensions with the Druze and Dashtani and the ever-constant threat of an intervention by the UNIR, the regime is facing a dire situation – even with the support of up to 90,000 Aininian and Luziycan soldiers.

The latest set-back and the rise of the Black Hand will only fuel questions of the potency and purpose of the Aininian-Luziycan intervention. Though, it should be said in balance, that the offensive in the west was conducted solely by the Mazari regime. The Luziycan offensive against Hayat Tahrir Islami in the north has been a resounding success, if not slower than expected, while the Aininian forces continue to idle.

Therein lies a possible future problem, should the Mazari Army need to be led by foreign officers and foreign soldiers, a repeat of the demise of Kamelist Irvadistan could be repeated. One of the main reasons Kamel fell was that he willingly allowed his generals to be subordinated by Koy generals; being marginalised by their president and offered total power and influence by the Ankorenis saw them inevitably turn against Kamel, paving the way for the founding of the UNIR.

Yusuf Nasr, a man with many commonalities with Kamel looks set to repeat the latter’s mistakes. Misjudging international support, over-evaluating his forces abilities and feeling overconfident with the Coalition’s protection, he has made poor decisions in recent months. No doubt the failure in the west will enrage him and further subdue his generals, while offering opportunities to both the so-called Caliphate and the left-wing-nationalist rebel front in the south-east – which has been receiving vast amounts of weapons from the UNIR according to coalition intelligence services.

Furthermore, should the generals be subordinated by an Aininian or Luziycan, the fuel being poured on the Black Hand fire will only grow. Islamic Collectivism thrives in deprived, repressed, emotionally broken settings, having the nation be visibly handed to foreigners so that an individual, a family or small clique can remain in power, will vastly empower the attractiveness of Islamic Collectivism.

What should concern both the Nasr regime and the coalition is the consequences of a successful Caliphate offensive south toward the UNIR border. Senior figures in the UNIR regime, especially those in the military and diplomatic service have used interviews and speeches to repeatedly say that, “should the takfiri movement come within even 20km of the border, we will push them back ourselves”, so said one general on Devrim Dalgasi TV.

Last night gunfire and explosions were reported north of the villages of Bin Saidi and Beit Wafaq, should the Caliphate take these two towns, they’d face little resistance toward Beit Tannoun, the largest urban area in south-west Mazaristan. If they were to retake the town, this would surely lead to a renewed sense of urgency within the UNIR regime, which would mostly lead to further escalation.

Timawa to join the International League
By Subi Hubek
11 October 2017

Image
King Hubekmarikit III
MAHARLIKA PALACE - His Majesty King Hubekmarikit III issued a royal decree reaffirming the letter His Majesty commanded the Salang Government to send to the Secretary-General of the International League (IL). The letter is an official request for the Kingdom of Timawa to become an IL member state.

This is the first time Timawa expressed decisive interest to join and take part in an international intergovernmental organization.

The last time Timawa attempted to join and take part in such an organization was back in 1968 when His Late Majesty King Datu XIII the Noble (His Majesty the King's grandfather), in a Bathala Palace Mass Audience, addressed the nation that the Kingdom must "urgently consider" membership in the now defunct Esquarian Union (EU). This proposition was forgotten after His Late Majesty and Prime Minister Deputy Lord Commander Peterus Batuta met later that year, reconsidering the threat that prompted consideration of EU membership.

The threat of Kaonese invasion first started in the late 19th Century as a hearsay among the rural areas in the southern Outlands, which later gained recognition after His Late Majesty King Datu XII the Proud commented in 1958 on the end of the Kaonese Revolutionary War.

His Late Majesty said, "We must make sure that the Phuko Ceasefire, whenever it perishes, will see us still standing before it dies completely at the blade of righteousness as our forefathers have done to the treacherous Tiyanak that threatened to destroy Ancient Timawa and all life on this world."

In the same year, the People's Union of Kaona began the "Up to the Countryside" campaign. A forced mass resettlement of urban Kaonese into rural cooperatives. A devastating famine and government crackdown on those who do not comply kills millions of people.

Now the threat of Kaonese aggression is apparent once again after Kaona took over Phikam (Now known as Phaonam) in September 4, 2017. It was a handover that was promised in 2016 with an agreement between Luziyca and Kaona. The agreement was marred by popular and political debate in Phikam. However, these debates were ultimately brought to an end after a military coup backed by the Luziyca and Kaona overthrew the Phikamese government, ensuring the final end of the Dominion of Caona and, along with it, Phikam.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Thanin Thanom-Mater said, "His Majesty's Government, particularly the Prime Minister (Lord Commander Rajah-Luther Ilogan), is deeply concerned with the future of Phikam and, more importantly, the future of Timawa. Now that Kaona seems to be emboldened with its unification with Phikam, they might consider taking back their migrant ancestors along with the new land they settled in. And that land is our land. We have been here before the 'Anachak Kaonese' came to start a new life."

Presently called the "Anachak Timawans", they comprise 10% of the national population. Minister Thanom-Mater himself is an Anachak Timawan.

"We have been here for nearly a thousand years. We must protect this land and all of its peoples, it will be our happiness and glory when our righteous fatherland, His Majesty the King, is wronged. Even if us sons, us subjects, will suffer and die."

All power to the people's struggle - For liberty, equality, solidarity | 10/2017

Praxis | The RLM and the CAFC: What Is to Be Done?
By Candraputri Rayawitra (Confederal Syndicalism)

There are currently two people's movements that are making rise in Eastern Borea. Faced with similar obstacles, their differing strategies and goals are key to knowing the possibilities of the Borean Left, and the best courses of action they must take.

The state of affairs between the Lion Throne and the syndicalist communities in the northern Budhingan mountains (aptly named the "Crown-Commune diarchy") has been one of the most contentious and interesting of the ongoing people's uprisings throughout the world. For about five decades, the Tayangist Confederal Association of Free Communities (CAFC) have remained resistant, creating eventually a state of unofficial coexistence. Since then, CAFC has flourished and survived through in the face of more reactionary obstacles such as vested interests from Akai.

Just recently, the northern counterparts of the CAFC, the more broad Tinzan Revolutionary Labour Movement (RLM) has declared a parallel "provisional government" that opposes the current regime of Drogon Tsering, and is now fighting for legitimacy with the old State. Now, with backing of the People and the Council Republic, only time will tell should the RLM's project survive, in the face of state repression, Tuthinan interests and National Principlist fears.

The RLM seems to be keen on seizing the state power first. With overt intentions to directly supplant the old regime, many, especially sympathetic observers from Min, have deep fears of coming violence and bloodshed on its way. Direct opposition against the state has been the way of the RLM after the aftermath of the 1945 May Days and the Borean War. The ongoing struggle's focus on using the State's hegemony against itself would not fare well if it is the only thing that is on their minds in the current situation.

To many, the former seems like an exercise in futility, the percieved inability to fully abolish the old order means the struggle is not of concern within the observers from the Worker's International, compared to the latter. Quite the contrary, it is a window, a guide for setting the stage to further strengthen the Borean Section of the Worker's International.

One of the key characteristics that kept the CAFC alive was support. People's support, to be exact. Guided with a liberatory (freedom-oriented) approach and a belief in the idea of people's empowerment, has committed to organizing and educating communities of sustainable development, and implementing horizontal and more viable alternatives to the Min government's infrastructure. In offering thus, the CAFC has obtained and retained a strong support base that has lent to its strength and longevity. They had their own schools, organized cooperatives in place of outside businesses, let workers control seized factories, and had their own medical infrastructure. They They instituted programs for empowering husbands and fathers[1] and supporting responsible parenthood. (far before Lion Queen Parung’s 2003 reforms).

In short, they reached out to the people and organized a competent grassroots system, one that has effectively resisted the Min government's thirty year campaign against them and settling for a shared coexistence in 1987 that’s still in place today.

If there is anything that the RLM must do to fully legitimize itself, it is to learn from the achievements of their southern comrades. Beyond their grassroots organizing and their commitment to revolutionary struggle, they must as well implement an alternative framework as early as possible, an infrastructure from scratch, a system that may well challenge the existing framework itself.

In our efforts to offer the idea of a better society, we must remember the words of the late Kawung Tayang himself: “resistance to the injustices of greater powers rests on rendering obsolete their hegemony over us".

[1] It should be noted for foreign readers that Min is a matriarchal society, men tend to be regarded more less in a similar way as would women elsewhere.

Central Province to issue documents without sex markers
Date:
21 October, 2017

Image
Birth certificates, among other documents,
issued in Central Province, will not
designate one's sex after the Gender
Identity Protection Act was signed into law.
In what has been called a major victory in the battle for gender identity, a bill in Central Province goes into effect today mandating that all future birth certificates issued within the province exclude the possessor's sex. Other personal documents issued within the province will follow similar steps.

The Gender Identity Protection Act (or EPUG, from the Pavon name Ekt polla Protigestif de l'Unsoiditat gendeur) was promulgated by governor Eliana Reppi, after the bill was passed with a slim majority in the Central Province legislature. The promulgation of the bill is labelled as a defining point in the battle for gender identity in the province.

"Our province recognizes that each individual has the right to develop and subscribe to their gender identity", governor Reppi stated after signing EPUG into law. "The sex or gender of an individual is not for others to designate, and my convictions compel me to sign the bill [EPUG] into effect."

EPUG will also force many other documents, from driver's licenses to medical health cards, to exclude the sex or gender of their respective possessors. The step has been lauded by both governor Reppi and the ruling provincial Liberal Party as "a noble and progressive achievement".

EPUG was introduced after February 2017, when multiple families attempted to receive non-binary birth certificates for their children. However, EPUG was the result of an years-long battle for gender identity (and other LGBTQ issues) in Central Province. The provincial Liberal Party government sympathized with sexual minorities and already planned a gender identity bill for years. However, they were delayed by inaction from previous Democratic federal governments (2005-2017) and opposition from the current Republican federal government (April 2017 onwards).

There is substantial opposition to EPUG in Central Province, often considered to be the most liberal province of Pavonistade.

"EPUG is an unnecessary violation of freedom of information and represents unnecessary micromanagement from the government", said Jacut Adiled, a professor at the University of Forstazika, "And these are extremely-lenient violations with which we associate the new act".

"It is nonsense to claim that a person is being oppressed when his or her sex is recorded or labelled,", stated Jacquelyn Cottsden, the chairwoman of the Central Province Republican Party. "A lot of what EPUG imposes on our people undermines traditional and cultural expectations. This inexplicable act is problematic to such a point that governor Reppi's competence can be called into question".

The governors of South Pavonistade and the Southern Islands issued their own statements acknowledging the passage of EPUG. Central Province non-binary documents will be accepted in South Pavonistade, Southern Islands, Capital Province and Western Pavonistade. However, not all provinces received the enforcement of EPUG warmly. Toloupum Sector proclaimed that they will not deem valid non-binary personal documents from Central Province.

"The Central Province government is jeopardizing its citizenry by eliminating crucial personal information from various licenses and documents", a spokesman for the Toloupum Sector government declared. "Our province cannot risk further jeopardy through accepting incomplete driver's licenses, birth certificates or other issued documents".

The federal government is taking note of EPUG-related developments in Central Province. President Kal Simpsen criticized EPUG, labelling it as a "far-liberal stunt", but had not indicated any further steps other than monitoring the situation in Central Province. Despite opposition to EPUG, however, the Central Province government and the province itself showed no signs of backing down.

"We hope that Central Province will be a leader in the fight for LGBTQ equality, genderqueer people and other sexual minorities, both in Pavonistade and beyond," stated governor Reppi.

NAMOR'S ECONOMY CONTRACTS FOR FIRST TIME IN OVER THREE DECADES

Image
Minister of Economic Development Chen Kangvang confirmed Namor's
economy had shrunk in the third quarter, but said a recession will not
occur

October 23, 2017 (Namo) - Namor's economy experienced a growth rate of -0.1 percent from July to September, according to a quarterly report by the Ministry of Economic Development.

Officials singled out the tidal wave that killed over 11,000 people in Namor as the biggest factor behind the shrink. While the wave occurred in the second quarter when the economy grew by 4.2 percent, it devastated the infrastructure of the eastern coast, the most prosperous part of the country. The damage caused a rise in unemployment and a decrease in consumer confidence, which negatively impacted the economy as a whole.

It is the first time that the Namorese economy has shrunk since the Recession of 1980. Until now, Namor had experienced periodic slowdowns, but not negative growth.

The ministry acknowledged that the statistics do not reflect the quick recovery touted by administration officials since the passage of the stimulus in July. But Minister of Economic Development Chen Kangvang downplayed fears of a recession, predicting strong growth in the fourth quarter from increased domestic demand and trade.

"The Miracle is alive and well," Chen said, referring to the period of rapid economic growth in Namor that began in the 1950s.

Chen's assurances failed to cast away doubts about the government's ability to deliver a quick recovery.

The New Democrats, the largest opposition party, called on the Antelope administration to "get real" with its economic policies.

"Two years ago, the Popular Front promised to save Namor from recessions forever, but the ministry's report reveals a different reality," said NDP chairman Tsao Haojing.

"We hope the administration can get off its high horse and work with the Namorese people to get our economy back on track," Tsao added.

Gao Ping, chairman of the People's First Coalition (PFC), reacted angrily to the quarterly report, demanding that the entire government resign if no growth occurs for the remainder of the year.

The Supreme Assembly has voted in support of the Supreme Leadership’s “National Harmonisation of Spirit and Mind Act”, which will see increased funding, resources and manpower for the State Administration for Social Harmony, as well as the establishment of provincial-level Stability-Maintenance Offices across the Union. The NHSMA, aims to enhance the State’s ability to confront foreign ideas and thoughts through the introduction of a new internet-based security system, further security mechanisms in education and a new list of banned foreign publications.
Banned publications:
  1. Slevdovatel
  2. Den Konstitution
  3. The Incident
  4. The Rifati Times
  5. Le Metropolitain
  6. Republique
  7. Welêt
  8. Dilsoz
  9. Destûra
  10. al-Badawi al-Yawm
  11. Žinia Respublikos

Prime Minister Qassem Akbari led the presentation of the bill to the Supreme Assembly where he succeeded in passing it through the legislature, with 544-36 votes in favour. The bill will be presented to the three Union Republic Assemblies to be ratified into state law.

Following the vote’s passing, Prime Minister Akbari said, “through this legislation we are further expanding the tools at our disposal to defend the Union from the constant media-warfare, subversion and espionage of the imperialist cabal. By ensuring that the people of our nations are protected from their vicious lies, we are preserving the purity of revolutionary thought.”

Leader of the Irvadi Caucus in the Assembly, Mohammad al-Habrouni praised the bill saying, “as the Union faces growing threats in Rifat, Mazaristan, Ainin and Nautarya, it is vital that we protect society from the unconventional attacks being waged.”

The State Administration for Social Harmony, is to absorb the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, to become the State Revolutionary Ideals Dissemination Office (SRIDO). The SRIDO will be tasked with maintaining barriers against foreign media influences, defence of students and the young from impressionable ideals and defending revolutionary purity of thought.

SRIDO is also being granted 250.80 million Toman to develop viable firewalls for the nation’s internet to defend society from the same foreign threats, as well as domestic threats. The Union Society of Islamic Jurists has praised the new initiative, especially in its secondary task of shutting down pornographic sites.

Supreme Cleric, Ayatollah Ali Khorsani who was present in chamber at the time of vote, spoke to reporters and he told them that, “this is a good day, the charge against subversive publications native and foreign is a must. And today we commit greater energy and resources to succeeding.”

The biggest change to come out of the bill is the introduction of Stability-Maintenance Offices at the Provincial level. Subordinate to SRIDO, the offices will allow citizens to partake in Direction Meetings, where Party officials will discuss state-level and federal-level policies, seek advice on ideological matters and express concerns.

MP calls on the Union to remove Nasr militarily.
Popular MP, Reşat Çağlar made the call while addressing the Pathfinder Society.

Companion Reşat Çağlar MP has said that the Union must militarily intervene in Mazaristan is “further erosions of the Mazari people’s sovereignty by the imperialist coalition continues.” Speaking at the Pathfinder Association Conference, he referenced growing financial ties between the Yusuf Nasr regime at the Aininian-Luziycan military force in the country.

Companion Reşat Çağlar a renown totalist in the Party, said further, “we have present the Union of Nautasian Islamic Republics as the true alternative to chaos, anarchy and imperialist exploitation, but if we stand by why a pathetic lonely tyrant surrenders more and more of his nation to imperialists, to preserve his own lifestyle, then we ourselves surrender the very role we have built ourselves.”

Companion Çağlar established the Pathfinder Society with Companions Murat Baçan and Aslan Efan in 2006 as a means of linking student movements across Nautasia to support the cause of the Great Journey.

Companion Çağlar has been a vocal critic of the Nasr regime, following clashes between his regime and Druze militias in late September he denounced him as a “rat-dog worthy of only a bullet.” While he addressed the Supreme Assembly last week, in which he described the Mazari dictator as the “ultimate manifestation of what is wrong with this continent.”

In his speech to the Pathfinder Society he said, “we are now in a position of utter power and strength, compared to other reactionary and imperialist dominated nations, we have no equal. We should use this position without fear or trepidation. When we say that we are the true alternative to chaos, we should prove it. We should go into Mazaristan and remove Nasr and kick out the imperialist cabal. The Mazari people scream for freedom and we hear them, we hear them” he said.

Following his speech, the Pathfinder Society voted in favour of a motion calling on the Union to militarily intervene in support of the Popular Liberation Front, an alliance of non-Islamist rebels in south-eastern Mazaristan.

New algae culture produces highly potent stimulant at impressive rates
"This may be the key towards low cost pharmaceuticals mass production" scientists claim
2017/10/24
Image
The algae culture in question is a relative of the C. reinhardtii specimen depicted in this image

VLASANJE - An algae culture produced by a laboratory has been found to produce a highly potent stimulant drug at a rate that makes mass production of the drug 'easily low-cost' should said culture be cultivated at a large scale.

After around two years of development of a previous culture of a Chalmydomonas species found in West Borea in an effort to create efficient factories for biologic drugs, the laboratory has produced this culture through extensive selective breeding and genome-editing. Progenitor cultures already began producing various proteins that possessed stimulant properties but it was this development that saw the efficient production of almost entirely the frightening potential drug tentatively named 1017AVT-ŠE.

1017AVT-ŠE is an organic compound produced by the breakdown of a larger substance created by the functions of the algae culture. It is around 4 to 5 times larger than molecules of most chemically synthesized stimulants. The substance is an extremely powerful stimulant, able to spark activity in the brain that is almost unmatched by other chemical substances, as well as high muscle activity and also increased release of various compounds by the body itself. The substance is far more potent than methamphetamine and many other drugs normally synthesized by chemical means.

The culture produced this substance at an extremely efficient rate at a yield far higher than the substance yields from other experimental medicinal algae. The acreage needed for the farming of the culture to make the drug easily mass-produced is thus lower than other breeds of similar properties.

Drug-producing algae produce complex compounds able to be used in medicinal fields, which are processed to be used as pharmaceuticals after being collected from the algae. As the needs for the growth of algae are fairly simple, this is a comparatively less costly method to produce various medicines needed that are otherwise expensive to synthesize, and market, as seen in the plight of the poor in plutocrat-controlled oligarchical states. Mass production of life-saving and even life-improving medicines and their affordable access is regarded as of paramount importance to ensuring the health and unity of the Nation; a diseased populace certainly can not resist its enemies.

While in its current state, the culture's products are more likely to do harm than good, the efficiency of the algae and the means by which it had produced such a powerful substance is greatly worth further research, if these properties may be appropriated for cultures that yield more productive products, then it can be expected great breakthroughs will be made. Scientists have claimed that "this is the key to low-cost pharmaceutical mass-production".

The victory of the Tvrdjavist scientific facilities in this field, following and succeeding the announcement of a more efficient petrol-algae culture earlier this month, represents rapid advancements in biotechnology as well as the undeniable scientific might of our Nation. It is expected more exciting discoveries and developments will be made by the endeavors of our scientists that will ultimately bring the Nation higher and higher.

RUI may be given chance to form own path, but will it change anything?
ESTANBAN, UNIR - Talks between Consul Shadar Kabari and UNIR Prime Minister Qassem Akbari in Estanban last week clarified the relationship between the Islamic People’s Movement and the wider Islamic collectivist movement, with the RUI formally granted the “right” to pursue its own path in regards to governing Pisdara on the 17th. Since then, debate has raged over how far this “right” extends, and if the relatively more moderate Kabari can keep his more hardline deputies in line after securing a win for what he now calls “Islamic collectivism of the Pisdari variety”.

Since Kabari’s intra-party coup in 2016 and the move towards pan-Nautasianism and Islamic collectivism, the RUI has suffered from perceived close ties to the UNIR (previously Ankoren), with many questioning their independence. The row with Saheil in August was finally the crisis to open up the question of the RUI taking a more moderate, and even critical, stance on the UNIR and dogmatic Islamic collectivism. Kabari and his posse of more moderate Islamic collectivists angered orthodox deputies over critiquing UNIR foreign policy over the affair, and since then a internal battle has subtly raged in the party over whether such actions are acceptable. It seems Kabari and the moderates have won out in pressuring Estanban to recognize and allow the RUI to follow its own path, but it seems to have not fixed the issue over ideological purity.

Although Kabari has seemingly won a victory over an increasingly centralizing and authoritarian regime that has tried to keep a single ideological line, the “opening” of the RUI could cause trouble with the party’s more hardcore and orthodox members, who have recently come out to protest an apparent feeling that Pisdara is “ungrateful” to the UNIR for taking aid without fully supporting the regime. This is also a relatively large talking point in the UNIR itself in regards to Pisdari relations. Although no mention of a split has occurred, and no one expects such an act, Kabari’s ability to be more flexible also means he must be more careful, lest his moderate attitudes anger a rabid and pro-UNIR base.

Desmarais accepts IL ascension amidst meeting with Max Cornell
HUIMONT, AININ - Following his controversial call that Pisdara entering the International League without the approval of the Aininian Republic was unconstitutional, Consul Michel Desmarais has apparently rescinded on his remark today while on a trip to Huimont, stating that he is “aware that the constitution allows Pisdara to exert itself as an independent state in regards to the joining of supranational organizations”, although he was quick to state that he was still against the organization. “What has changed between the IL and the defunct OEN? Barely nothing. It is a useless and overtly bureaucratic mess where the socialist-liberal elite can exert its power over the sovereignty of states and be absolutely inactive to real situations. What are they doing against the Islamic collectivists and the UNIR?”

However, Desmarais’ rescinding of his previous beef with the IL, or at least Pisdara joining the organization, was only one of the major items on the Consul’s list today. His main goal while in Huimont was to meet with the controversial leader Max Cornell of the far-right National Alliance, which currently holds thirty-one seats in the Aininian House of Deputies. Both men lead successful Aininian nationalist groups, and it seems Desmarais wishes to court the charismatic Cornell in order to secure assurance within the Aininian radical right that they would support an New Bounesquois referendum and, if successful, annexation into Ainin proper. “It’s a very important issue for us both to have all ethnic Aininians protected in a safe and welcoming country”, stated Desmarais after his meeting with Cornell, with him assuring politicians at home that he would not call for a referendum until “later on after the next legislative election”. However, a good result for Desmarais’ Aininian Union Party in next year’s local elections may see a possible referendum on the issue come closer than expected. Regardless of what happens, it is clear the PUA is now flirting with the National Alliance, forging a more far-right stance in the process.

Esquarium’s Newest Syndicalist Nation Proclaimed
Hüzer Schmiedeberg
24 October, 2017 | Weichltal, Union of Syndicates

Weichltal, Weichltal Autonomous Commune — On 15 October, the Provisional Government of the Popular Republic of Tinza was proclaimed by the Revolutionary Labour Movement, the premier syndosocialist organisation of the East Borean nation of Tinza. Alongside the courageous declaration of the Provisional Government, the Revolutionary Labour Movement stated its intentions to join the young International League. As expected, this stated intent has been met with the full backing of the Internationale, including the Permanent Security Council member Union of Syndicates.

Already, President Karpo and Premier Bhakto have met with Hassann Rihjke, Chairman of the Committee for Defence of Revolutionary Syndicalism, and Chairwoman of the Central Directorate Eische Wehrplanke. At the conclusion of the meetings, the Central Directorate issued as statement declaring: “The Provisional Government of the Popular Republic of Tinza, President of the Popular Republic Karpo, and Premier Bhakto have the complete support of the [Union of Syndicates] and the Internationale.”

While it is not expected that the RLM-led Provisional Government will be granted full membership in the International League, it is expected that observer status will be granted. The Popular Republic of Tinza was expected to apply following the autocrat “State-Perceptor” Drogon Tsering announcement that “"no such actions [to join the International League] will be put into motion,” for the dictatorship in Tinza to join the International League.

Outside of the International League, the Provisional Government of the Popular Republic of Tinza will be fighting an uphill battle in gaining recognition outside of the International Workers’ Alliance. So far, the Provisional Government has secured the support of the International Workers’ Alliance. However, the Provisional Government will have to do more should it be taken seriously by the international community. The support of the Union of Syndicates is symbolic at best, as the landlocked Internationale behemoth is in political gridlock as the Alemannic Autonomists push their agenda of devolution in the face of the upcoming renegotiation of the Alemannic New Social Contract scheduled for 5 February, 2018.

With the Union of Syndicates domestically preoccupied, it will be up to other International Workers’ Alliance members to take the proverbial burden. Narmada is under siege from the fascist Xiaodong (they too are feeling the brunt of a gridlocked and unreliable Alemannia), Cheranavia, Kaona, Ostrinubia, and West Cortoguay will have to take it upon themselves to support the Provisional Government. It’ll be crucial not only to the obvious parties that they do this, but also crucial to showing the rest of the world that the International Workers’ Alliance is more than just the “Union of Syndicates and friends,” and that each member of the Internationale is truly on equal footing.

Alemannia: Autonomists give first proposal for so-called “Devolution”
Eiper Feidt
18 October, 2017 | Weichltal, Union of Syndicates

Weichltal, Weichltal Autonomous Commune — With the so-called “Ausgleich” quickly approaching in four months, a renewed sense of urgency has overcome the informal “Autonomist Caucus,” formed from the self-proclaimed Revolutionists, Radicalists, Directionalists, and Confederalists, have given their first proposal for the so-called “Devolution Programme.” The programme, first discussed back in 2015, calls for a reformation of the Union of Syndicates into a commonwealth of five autonomous republics. The current system sees the Union of Syndicates operating as a federalised commonwealth of seven “compacts.” The jump to the “Devolution Programme,” would see further emphasis placed on postnationalism, voluntaryism, and direct democracy.

Opponents to the plan, chiefly the informal “Totalist Caucus,” formed by the Maximists, Unitarianists, Vanguardists, and Centralists, have called the proposed devolution “outlandish” and “a fantasy.” Such radical changes, according to them, would “destabilise the [Union of Syndicates] and threaten revolutionary progress.”

Separating facts from politics is a difficult manner in itself, more so with the highly factionalised Alemannic Trade Unions’ Congress. The devolution of the Union of Syndicates would not destabilise the polity. In fact, if the Tayangist Confederal Association of Free Communities seen within the Min Kingdom proves that devolution could do the opposite and increase internal stability. The downside of such, as evident by the Autonomist plan, is the rush to push the legislation so close to the 2018 Ausgleich and concurrent 2018 elections is the Autonomists lazily drew republican boundaries along ethnocultural lines, resulting in “Teutonic,” “Oelic-Lautish,” “Low Teutonic,” “Karazawi,” and “Alarian” dominated constituents. Such divisions could be disastrous should the nationalist plague present in both the Oelian Federation and Karazawi Kingdom infect the Union of Syndicates.

Thankfully, notable Autonomist members Hellje De Haas (Re) and Nasrille Bernhoeft (Co) have both refused to throw their support behind the Plan “in its current state.” It is expected that by the end of the week, the duo and their cadre will propose their own devolution plan, hopefully one more thought out and conscience of the still-present ethnic divides within the Union of Syndicates.

Two members of the State Council detained by General Intelligence Directorate
State Councillor Mehmet Iğsız and State Minister for Health Ahmet Gülpınar detained for "betraying the Party-State."

25 October, 2017, 14.00pm | Estanban, Union of Nautasian Islamic Republics

Image
One patriotic citizen threw a mock noose at Gülpınar as he was escorted into detention.

The General Intelligence Directorate has arrested two prominent members of the Supreme Leadership today, under charges of “gross violations of conduct.” State Councillor Mehmet Iğsız and State Minister for Health Ahmet Gülpınar were detained early this morning, following swift raids by the GID. The Supreme Leadership has announced that Colonel Vahid Namdar MP will succeed State Councillor Iğsız. The State Council issued a statement saying, “the Supreme Leadership denounces the two traitors, who have betrayed our cause.”

The GID arrested both men at their homes in Estanban at 8.33am, under charges of “gross violations of Party conduct.” Mehmet Iğsız is accused of promoting “salacious plots that would undermine the Union’s commitment to the freedom of Nautasia’s peoples”, while Ahmet Gülpınar is accused of taking money from businesses tied to Aininian conglomerates.

According to the State Council Affairs Office, the operation was sanctioned by the Supreme Leadership who were informed of their activities by the GID through Marshal of the Union, Burak Güven. The Islamic Revolutionary Army which controls the GID, stated on its website that the raid, “cemented the Islamic Revolutionary Army’s commitment to defend the Party-State, the Union and the nation from threats deep within the state. We will not let darkness grow where there is only light.”

While State Councillor Iğsız was transferred to a detention facility outside the capital, Lt. General Ahmet Gülpınar however, was escorted in public to the Müşüden Prison, where civilians hurled abuse along the route. One woman spat at him while shouting, “we trusted you.”

The GID released a statement revealing that State Councillor Iğsız was in contact with several known academics who shared his belief that the Union should accommodate the puppet regimes of Nautasia to secure peace. Iğsız is accused by the GID of illegally contacting several individuals in the Rifati and Mazari regimes, promising financial assistance for their war efforts against their own people, in exchange for payments to himself.

The GID condemned his case as, “a man of the Supreme Leadership, a trusted Companion and revolutionary, who abused that status and the trust of the nation, to use his position for personal gain and thus undermining the position of the Supreme Leadership.”

Lt. General Gülpınar is accused of taking bribes from businesses tied to Aininian conglomerates. The State Minister of Health since 2013 and a popular figure, reportedly took over $1.1 million in bribes. These businesses include Turon Textiles, a Namorese company with a small presence in Erdek, though related to the already disgraced Loup CGT company. At least three Luziycan companies tied to Ainin directly or indirectly also offered him money in exchange for contracts related to hospital construction in Irvadistan.

The GID stated his crimes were a “gross violation of the Party Conduct List and a gross violation of the very trust placed in him by all. Receiving bribes is a disgusting crime, unbecoming of a member of the Islamic Union Front, let alone as a military officer or a citizen of the Union. But to take money from companies tied directly to the would-be hegemonic tyrant of Nautasia in the form of Huimont, is beyond the pale.”

State Councillor Iğsız faces life imprisonment for his crimes against the Party and the people, while Gülpınar’s charges may lead to charges of treason, he will then as a result face the death penalty.

State Councillor Iğsız has already been replaced, with Colonel Vahid Namdar MP being appointed as his replacement. Former head of the Assembly Select Committee for Public Health, Murat Keser succeeding Gülpınar, according to the Prime Minister’s Office.

Spokesman for the State Council, Abdullah al-Jamiri, said, “on behalf of the Supreme Leadership I offer rage, fury and shame. To have two individuals at the highest level of state betray the Union in such a way is disgraceful. I offer the truly heartfelt apologies of all members of the Supreme Leadership. We pray, that the people of the Union will forgive us.

“But, we must use this shock to make changes. We must use this painful episode to hunt down others who would dare betray the trust of the people. These people will be hunted down, the party will be observed and cleansed when these dogs are found, that we promise fully. The Party remains strongest when purest, that is our aim and our guiding principle. We will investigate any other leads toward betrayal and treason and crush the dogs.”

State Councillor Namdar is expected to address the Supreme Assembly tomorrow to be confirmed by majority vote.

More as the story develops.

SHOHAI IN DAMAGE CONTROL MODE AS ECONOMY CONTRACTS
PRESIDENT-GENERAL TO PAY SECOND VISIT TO DISASTER-AFFECTED AREAS

Image
President-General Antelope Shohai personally addressed Namor's
shrinking economy during a press conference, assuring citizens that
the current economic situation is not permanent

October 25, 2017 (Namo) - In a sign that the first contraction of Namor's economy in over 35 years is badly damaging the government's reputation, President-General Antelope Shohai spent an entire press conference addressing the economy, assuring citizens that Namor will not slip into recession as it did in 1980.

A sober-looking President-General seems to have abandoned his cheerful demeanor as he spoke to the press regarding the Ministry of Economic Development's recent quarterly report, which revealed that Namor's economy had shrunk by 0.1 percent in the third quarter.

Calling the numbers "disappointing," Antelope compared the economic effects of the June 10 tidal wave to the Great Wave of 1794, which also crippled the eastern Namorese coast and irreparably weakened the Hao dynasty. However, he promised to quicken government implementation of the tidal wave stimulus passed in July to prevent Namor from experiencing another quarter of negative growth.

"Some are calling this a 1794 moment, and they're not wrong. But we must remember that 2017 and 1794 are very different times. We have way more tools that enable us to get back to our feet," he said.

Antelope lashed out at "pessimistic" media reports about the Namorese economy and called on the public to "cheer up."

"June 10 did not make us weaker, it made us stronger. We are not in decline as some suggest, we are climbing back up. Before long, we'll be higher than we were on June 9."

Besides vowing to fully implement the stimulus, the President-General did not specify how his administration will help grow the economy. But he did announce an upcoming trip to Tuhao and Khao — two of the hardest-hit regions on June 10. This will be the second time he has visited areas affected by the tidal wave since late June.

Sources within the Executive House told the Mojing Sibo that the administration is still developing a strategy to avert the economic downturn. Greater tax cuts and lucrative trade deals with developing countries are among the options being considered. These reports suggest that Namo has yet to determine how to "get back on our feet" as Antelope had promised. Until then, the administration is doing everything it can to assure an impatient public that things are looking upward.

According to the latest poll by the Mojing Sibo, Antelope Shohai has a 37 percent approval rating — a five-point decline from August.

ELSBRIDGE, THURSDAY 26 OCTOBER, YEAR OF OUR LORD 2017 AD
DOZENS PERISH IN FERRY INFERNO
AMITY FITZPATRICK BURNS IN NJORD WITH GREAT LOSS OF LIFE

_Image
The MS Amity Fitzpatrick adrift off of Cape Scarfskerry this morning, still smoking from the blaze.

TANSBOROUGH, TRELAWNEY - Twenty seven passengers are confirmed dead, with several more injured, after a horrific blaze erupted on the MS Amity Fitzpatrick last night. It is feared that the final death toll of the disaster, the deadliest in recent Ambrosian memory, could continue to escalate as more passengers are accounted for.

The MS Amity Fitzpatrick, a 26,000 ton car ferry owned by the Gough-Chapinswall Steam Ship Trust Company, was operating along its regular route from Vicksburgh in the Badcal Isles to Tansborough when smoke was reported in the ventilation systems by passengers early this morning. Based on statements by several crewmen, it soon transpired that a fire had broken out in the ferry's car hold.

What transpired next is unclear, and this paper has received multiple conflicting reports between the period of 4:15 and 5:30 AM. Captain George Penn, a veteran mariner who was the last survivor to leave the burning vessel, gave us this account:

"At approximately 4:22 AM, my second officer alerted me that there was a fire in the car ferry hold. Several minutes later, we were alerted by the engineers that the engine room was full of smoke, and similar reports came in from passengers awakened from their slumber. Reports of unextinguishable, rapidly-spreading fire in the engine room and other crew areas reached the bridge and eventually, at shortly after 4:30, I gave the order to abandon ship. There were, as near as I can remember, about 520 passengers on board, including nearly 150 or so ladies and children, and of course they were evacuated from the vessel first. However, it transpired that not all of the passengers followed the correct safety procedure and did not make it to their assigned lifeboat stations, complicating the situation."

"Further complicating the situation was the fact that around this point [4:40 AM] the bridge lost contact with other crew stations around the ship, and the electrical failure occurred shortly thereafter. At this time the fire had emanated out around the windward side of the boat and spread rapidly across the superstructure, evidently trapping many of the passengers and crew that were not on deck. Many of the lifeboats were haphazardly filled when launched or refused to launch altogether, so passengers began jumping from the deck into the water despite the warnings of the crew. The helicopters that had been radioed for over half an hour ago now arrived to assist with the evacuation effort. Several of our engineers managed to clear a path for passengers trapped inside, and finally, once we were satisfied that no one remained alive in the inferno, the remaining crew, including myself, evacuated. This last act transpired at 5:46 AM."

Shortly after the distress call, several military helicopters and rescue ships were dispatched by the Confederal Navy to help with the effort. The blaze itself was quelled by firefighting vessels and aircraft working through the dawn. Several bodies were discovered found in the waters around the ferry as morning dawned, although searchers have been unable to find more bodies. The injured survivors, many suffering from severe burns, were airlifted for treatment at Tansborough General Hospital.

Twenty-seven people of the passenger complement of 514 have been confirmed dead, according to latest combined estimates issued by the Confederal Navy; this number is likely to rise in the coming days. The Amity Fitzpatrick disaster is already the worst in recent Ambrosian maritime history, after the 1988 General Petrol Achavanich tanker explosion claimed forty-two lives in Hyperborean waters. The Ministry of Merchant Marine issued a statement early today, as the Executive Mansion will later today.

Several leftist union-based publications have attacked Gough-Chapinswall for their alleged negligence in terms of safety precautions on the ship, which are pointed to as the causes for the incident. The company, which operates the vast majority of the commercial shipping in Ambrose, has been under fire for similar allegations in the past. CEO Frederic T. Muschamp has been called "tantamount to [a murderer]" in the Whig-Progressive trade unionist Workingman's Daily, with comparable defaming accusations in other press bulletins. Muschamp, for his part, released a statement this morning praising the resilience and the courage of passengers, crew, and first responders alike. “Though, sadly, not all the passengers were able to be rescued, nevertheless the bravery, tenacity, and great presence of mind exemplified by those on board was crucial in preventing further catastrophe.”

The vessel is, at present, adrift in the Gulf of Scarfskerry, with tugboats and aeroplanes monitoring it so to ensure the smoking hulk does not run aground. Gough-Chapinswall has not made comment on...DOMESTIC, 2A

Communities' confederalism a reference for Syndicates' devolution
Pabo Zatsiki
26 October, 2017 | Padamiragan, Union of Communities

Debate on devolution in the Union of Syndicates has recently intensified with the topic itself becoming public focus again as autonomists publish a first-stage proposal for the division of the Union of Syndicates into national republics. The prominence of this subject is further reinforced by that the Ausgleich (renegotiation, compromise) of the Syndicates is due in 4 months alongside other major political processes such as elections.

Controversy is surrounding the idea of devolution as the published proposal has been criticized as being 'hastily designed' and 'brash', being split around national and ethnic constituents, which is taking flak for 'perpetuating ethnic division' and 'offering reactionary entities opportunities' in constituencies comprised of their own national brethren. The basic concept has also been criticized by opponents as potentially destabilizing the Union of Syndicates. Devolution proponents call it a move towards direct democracy and postnationalism and also a further step towards stability in the Union of Syndicates.

But for a model of devolution whose function has been fully proven by time, comrades of Weichltal need not look further than the Union of Communities - a truthful ally of the Union of Syndicates since its very establishment. The model by which confederalism is practiced in the Union of Communities can perhaps serve as an inspiration for devolutionists on something agreeable, feasible and workable.

While comrades of the Union of Syndicates seek the dissolution of the traditional nation's socio-political role, the Union of Communities practices the exact opposite - it is confederated by its founding, constituent nations, each valued highly and equally. As Weichltal seeks postnationalism by erasing references to the nation, Padamiragan progresses to it through the conciliation of its nations and the formation of the harmonious gestalt out of which none of its constituents may survive. Establishing republics based on national boundaries may seem counterintuitive to the program of internationalization, but not only does it ensure that good-hearted nationalist elements (i.e. not subversives supported and formed by reactionary forces) do not resist, by establishing constituents along national lines one can more easily recognize what is workable in regards to policy with an ethnocultural group.

National constituency is not a call for the return of petty mass blood-feuds, but only by doing so can an unity adopt appropriate, according policy to its members. The postnationalist effect of this is further amplified by an effective program of Union, which would create a situation where the collective of the constituent nations is the only entity capable of independent survival. Effective negotiation and conciliation between nations can ensure the harmony of this Union and powerful, substantial synergistic cooperation. This is well-demonstrated in the Union of Communities, where in spite of the presence of national constituents, effective cooperation and synergy has formed a confederation where none can survive outside of and the elements and factors that caused dissolution of historical Confederations have been removed, creating a permanent collaborative force of nations. But indeed, an effective Assembly of constituents and their fair representation is essential for the function of such an Union.

The Union of Syndicates does not need to completely duplicate the model of the Communities, however, with the two states possessing similar situations, conditions and challenges, what has allowed its major ally to so far thrive in a confederal state may be perhaps of use of reference to devolutionists in regards to an achievable commonwealth model.

National Assembly votes to remove President Pavel Perak from office
The National Assembly voted on all four counts to oust Mr. Perak on charges of manipulation election results

TRAFOV – The National Assembly of the Republic of Ceresnia voted to remove President Pavel Perak from office on Thursday, bringing an end to a political scandal which had agitated the nation for almost a year. The National Assembly ousted Mr. Perak merely over a year after he took office, voting on all four counts that he violated his oath of office and the Ceresnian Constitution by manipulating the results of the 2016 presidential election. These dealings have been traced back to an organized crime group which has been operating within the government since the late 1990s.

Jan Bukovič, who is also serving as current President of the Senate of the Republic of Ceresnia and is a political rival to Perak, has been appointed as the acting President of the Republic of Ceresnia, who will serve until a snap election will be carried out later this year. This marks one of the first occasions of any Borean leader being removed from office by the process of impeachment. The speaker of the National Assembly, Rišard Malinovič, who is also an active member of the opposition against Mr. Perak, called the situation “outrageous and appalling”, and said that it “proves Ceresnian politics are dominated by criminals who if weren't in an agreement with the government, would surely be jailed and not free to roam the streets and destabilize the political situation in the country”.

Appearing before the National Assembly before the vote, Pavel Perak refused to accept his mistakes. Perak denied all charges throughout the whole of the hearing, arguing against every critical statement made against him. “I regret nothing,” he said. This remark uttered by Perak led the National Assembly to refuse granting Mr. Perak leniency. Mr. Malinovič, the speaker of the National Assembly, said that “Perak's controversial and needless to say, vile behaviors only leave his old prospects for being a politician in a ruined state”.

Moreover, many pointed to Perak and commented on him 'stirring up nuclear tensions' with Razaria in September by exercising new anti-ballistic missile systems which members of the National Assembly called 'ineffective regardless', and last year's brutal proceedings against violent left-wing protests against his inauguration by police, aided by Perak himself. Some also commented on the death of EC commissioner for external trade Cathael Loussieur in a car accident which could have been prevented by enforcing stricter health and safety rules and closing traffic off to the column of governmental vehicles which were involved in the accident.

Since the first calls to impeach Perak in October last year, many other flaws have been outlined by opposition activists. Some said Perak approaches politics as focused on him only and many perceive him as an unsophisticated figure unfit to rule a nation. Mr. Perak was criticized by his own party members for pushing its neutral big tent ideology into more far-right ideals, calling for the establishment of a dictatorial state.

The 150 persons-strong Ceresnian National Assembly's verdict came two weeks after Ceresnia's constitutional court successfully upheld its charges against Perak, commenting on how Perak 'committed a gross violation of the Ceresnian Constitution and its values'.

Mr. Perak will not be eligible to stand for another term as the Constitution of the Republic of Ceresnia has established that an impeached president cannot longer run for office, and additionally Mr. Perak had already served more than 12 months of his last term before his removal from office on Thursday. Anita Barbikova, a politologist who deeply analysed Perak's politics over the years, said “Mr. Perak has spelled out the end of his own political career and me may never see him as relevant again, although it is ironic that the man who supposedly brought us democracy also deprived us of it”.

SDP To Form Miniority Government

Nils Klauser
26 October 2017

Wittburg: The Social Demcoratic Party (SDP) will form a minority government with the Green Party and the Pirate Party after the National People's Party (NVP) agreed to enter into a confidence and supply agreement. The confidence and supply agreement would mean that while the NVP sits outside the Cabinet of Ministers, they are allowed to have some say in specific government policies. The NVP also has some own key election policies which the SDP promised to implement within the next four years, in addition to being allowed conscience votes for social issues.

SDP leader Mathias Brügger said that while he respected NVP leader Othmar Trümpi as a leader, he said that some of the policies the party had, as well as key members of the NVP caucus would not fit well within a potential political coalition.
"We had discussed the matter of working with the Greens and the Pirate Party during the negotiation period and we both came to the conclusion that cooperation between the parties and their caucuses would be an issue," he said. "This agreement would allow cohesion between the official coalition with the support and influence of the NVP." Brügger said that he hoped a "fruitful working relationship" would result from this agreement.

NVP leader Othmar Trümpi said he was disappointed at not making it into government but was satisfied with the supply and confidence agreement reached between his party and the SDP.
"We would have liked to have had more influence within government," he said. "However it would have risked the cohesion of the coalition, so we wanted to avoid that. Ultimately this was the best agreement we could get, so we took it." Trümpi said that he would focus on using his party to "produce real benefits for all Swastrians" and "give rural Swastrians a voice within the Federal Assembly".
"We've got to be pragmatic about this," he said. "We can't make any difference to people's lives if we can't influence the government."

Minority governments are not unusual in Swastrian politics. The Grünenwald government between 1993 and 2001 was the most recent example of a minority government within federal politics. Since confederation, there have been six minority governments in Swastria.

Brügger said that he was looking forward to working with his coalition partners to bring about a "fairer Swastria".
"We've been seeing the failure of trickle-down economics making things worse for the last nine years," he said. "We're going to reign in these corporations and start making capitalism work for the common man."

Brügger has yet to meet with the King in order to present his case for forming a government. However if he does, it will be four days before he and his government are officially sworn in.

Ceresnian patriotic elements dethrone Perak
Long-time globalist puppet oligarch overthrown, hopes for true freedom in Ceresnia rise again
2017/10/26
Image
The Ceresnian people celebrate on the streets as the hated tyrant is removed from office

TRAFOV, CERESNIA - Patriotic forces in Ceresnia have finally managed to remove Pavel Perak from the office of President following a decisive vote by the National Assembly. Perak had been elected to President again in 2016 to resume a reign of crime, terror, blood and evil, acting as a puppet and proxy for globalist forces in Ceresnia to exploit the country and suppress awakening tendencies in the country while positioning forces against our Tvrdjavist State. The laughable head of this controlled opposition known as the 'Civic Movement' was impeached following a verdict by the National Assembly of Ceresnia acting on its patriotic conscience, who have exposed ties to organized crime that may even be linked to manipulative cliques in Ainin, Luziyca and beyond, fully demonstrating the colors of this collaborator.

Perak's efficiency in maintaining Ceresnia as a foothold for globalists in his previous terms while appearing ostensibly nationalist made him selected again to rule the 'governorate of Ceresnia' in 2016 and was easily inaugurated following sham elections. In spite of elaborate attempts at a disguise to his regime's vile nature, including a massacre of supposed left-wing protestors (found out to be criminals and dissidents lured with false promises of release to take part in the false-flag) and controversial involvement in the death of an EC official (who, by efforts of Razarian intelligence, was proven to have fallen out of favor with globalist elite shortly before their death), Ceresnian patriots were constantly wary of Perak, and undergone an extensive effort to weaken him or even completely remove him from office.

Actions of Perak who had apparently became too indulged in his renewed victories became disagreeable even to uncertain elements of Ceresnian society and soon popular opinion was turned against him following a series of incidents, including inciting tensions with our Nation through testing weapons. Independent investigations would soon reveal Perak's ties to vile groups including organized crime. The manipulated nature of the 2016 election was also exposed verily. With overwhelming indisputable evidence, legal mechanisms were open for the battle against Perak, and it was not difficult with such crimes blatantly clear in front of all that Perak was removed from office on October 26 by the National Assembly, merely a due procedure by Ceresnian laws as otherwise he would have fallen to a popular uprising anyway.

The patriotic elements that successfully carried out the operation to dethrone the oligarch have established a provisional government until by means acknowledged by local laws a new government can be inaugurated. Many described the Perak regime as 'vile' and 'criminal'. Perak will be unable to stand for elections again and may face more serious consequences following trials. There was widespread celebration of the downfall of the disgusting oligarchy on the streets by the masses of Ceresnia.

The National Fortification Command issued an official statement by the Secretariat of Foreign Affairs one hour following the act congratulating the Ceresnian people on the successful move to destroy criminal elements in the country's higher echelons. The NFC also urged related organizations to begin legal prosecution of Perak as soon as possible to deliver 'rightful justice'.

With the globalist administration and its appendages temporarily unseated and stunned, a window opens for all true patriots of Ceresnia to begin the final assault to reclaim their nation. A nationalist government free of imperialist control should be established immediately, by armed or legal means, and undo all the criminal dealings that had given suffering to the people of Ceresnia while ensuring that the country becomes integrated into the worldwide front of independent, free states fighting against dark conspiring forces. Should such a government prove its independent and righteous nature, it will most certainly receive all support from the Razarian people.

However, time is limited, and this must be done before globalist forces by their many appendages regain control over Ceresnia. The chaos and confusion dealt upon them should be exploited immediately to secure gains for the freedom of the Ceresnian people. Opportunities are rare, and should be cherished and used to their maximum.

COURT OF CONSTITUTION STOPS VOTE LAW REFORM

Postby Slovunia » Sat Oct 28, 2017 3:23 am

Image

Image
The court of Constitution in Lakograde, where the judges of the highest court in Slovunia have stopped the parliament vote on
reforms of various parts of the law.

LAKOGRADE. After parliament agreed to vote upon various reforms of the general lawbook, including things as the legalization of gender reassignment surgeries, prohibitting hate speech and special anti-discrimmination laws concerning the discrimmination of the LGBT-community within Slovunia, the court of constitution stopped the voting process - despite experts' opinion that said general law reforms would have reached even 20% of the parliament votes. According to Isabella Karenova, judge of the court of constitution, the reforms in question are "not conformable with the constitution of Slovunia," furthermore she said in an interview with the Casovnik earlier today: "The reforms we stopped are conflicting with the current constitution in various ways and to pass the laws, we would first need a referendum on the parts of the constitution which would need to be changed and under current conditions, the requirements which would be needed for such a referendum are not met."

To understand the reasoning for it, one must understand the current social climate as well as the constitutional paragraphs prohibiting the vote in parliament, though first let us take a look at the reforms in question:

Reform one: Prohibiting Hate Speech
Description: Currently, there are no laws considering hate speech. Generally, hate speech is seen as protected via the article of the constitution which guarantees free speech. Everyone may voice their opinion, but also has to live with potential discrimmination should this opinion be unpopular. Prohibiting hate speech, which has a rather vague definition, is conflicting with free speech as it means prohibiting opinions, or rather prohibiting to voice certain opinions.

An Anti-Discrimmination-Act (for certain minorities)
Description: Although there are anti-discrimmination policies, discrimminating someone based on for example one's opinion on the church, sexual orientation or on one's favourite colour is generally not prohibited as freedom of speech is as other freedoms: it comes with obligations. Obligations such as having to accept the consequences of the actions one made and the words one spoke. The conflict with the constitution and current laws is not only that it has similar problems as hate speech, but also that the favouring of certain groups of people is not allowed. Another problem is that sexual minorities or political opinion-based minorities are not officially accepted minorities as the paragraph for minorities requires a minority to have an own culture, religion and/or language, all things which are not given in this case.

Legalization of Gender Reassignment Surgeries
Description: This part of the law reform has the problem, that under current other laws (which classify transgender as mental illness), a law change would mean embracing mental illness as if one would give someone who cuts oneself a knife or as if one would give the key to one's stalker. As long as transgender is officially listd as mental illness, such a law would not be passable.

-

Another problem for the law reform is that changing the constitution requires a referendum and that there are requirements before a reerendum may be done. Changing the constitution via a parliament-vote on it is illegal and the parliament itself is not allowed to set a referendum. For a referendum to be able to be set, there must be a considerable public will backing such a decision. Given that there is no major public interest in such reforms besides a few hundred protesters infront of the Court of Constitution today, a referendum will most likely not be held on the topic.

The reason for the juges to intervene at this stage and not before is that voicing the opinion on something like this itself is not prohibited, but actually doing it is. Although the PLS has already begged for such a vote within the parliament since longer, it was not until recently for such a vote to actually be prepared. Should the PLS not step down from the vote which it proposed in parliament, it may get a temporary ban from the parliament and convent until after the next election, meaning that it would not be able to get elected until 2025. Should other parties try to make such a vote, the Court of Constitution may use eecutive ways to temporarily dissolve the parliament and/or to order new elections. It is highly unlikely that the vote which was set for tomorrow will happen now, as the Court of Constitution has declared it for illegal, though the ideas behind this vote will most likely live on. Currently, there are not many people in Slovunia supporting such reforms (otherwise a referendum would have been ordered) and there is not any signal that this might change any time soon.

K&G to close its borders
Increased illegal border-crossings by Kundalatunan Refugees has urged the government to close its borders
OnitTimes
28 October, 2017

Image

The Khokarsan-Guadecese Senate has officially issued the Kundalatunan Immigration Act this afternoon at 3:54 pm. Despite the president's efforts of preventing its passing, trying to veto it, 58% of the senate approve of the legislation, counter-vetoing and effectively nullifying the president's veto on the legislation. The passing of the legislation will result in the closing of the K&G-Kundalatunan Border, the reason being the rising amounts of Kundalatunan Refugees entering the country, many of whom living in extreme poverty and turning to crime for their survival.

The cause of this refugee crisis stems from the Kundalatunan Nation's reputation as an failed state following the end of the Second Kundalatunan Crisis, and forcing guerilla movements to retreat to the northern portions of the country. The following conflict in the north has left thousands dead and millions misplaced, with their homes and villages destroyed in the crossfire. The national government's incompetence and intense political fracturing as contributed to the further regression of the nation, and has made living conditions unbearable. Refugees saw K&G as a suitable place to go to, its close location and vibrant development and growth has made it an attractive destination, making hundreds of thousands cross the border into the Confederate Republics, seeking asylum. Most refugees found themselves in a difficult position once entering the republics, with many falling to poverty once more and living in the slums of major cities like Kôr and Dasso. Several Criminal Organizations have used the opportunity to sell goods to the various crime lords in Khokarsa-Guadec, disguising themselves as refugees, while Pan-Nautasian Socialists from Kundalatuna disguised as refugees crossed the border to commence terror attacks on the Republics, who has historically opposed their beliefs and tried to contain them on the continent's western half.

This has effectively given Kundalatunans a bad name, usually being seen as bearers of misfortune and crime, creating Anti-Kundalatunan Sentiment in the country, which has grown as the amount of refugees pouring from Kundalatuna increases. This mas made several members of the public call for the limiting of refugees coming into the country, tighter border security, surveillance of refugees for a period of time, and with the most radical and bigoted calling for the total deportation of refugees and the closing of the border of its entirety. And today, it seems like they've gotten their wish.

Facing increased public pressure with the growing crime rates, with the Refugee Crisis contributing to the rise of crime, the government set out to first limit the amount of refugees entering, this failing as refugees found more ways of crossing, increased pressure and lack of effectiveness finally forced the current administration to finally close off the border to all refugees, with the only exception being supply trucks with the intention of trade, who will be inspected heavily upon crossing the border for any refugees. Plans of deportation, while not included in the act, has started to manifest, but public heavy opposition from pro-refugee citizens has prevented its inclusion in the act, but not completely destroying the possibility of one.

Despite some fierce opposition, much of the public and government have shown its support of the act, showing that the tides of Anti-Kundalatunan Sentiment being a strong force in Khokarsan-Guadecese Society that has ruined the public's opinion on the Kundalatunan People, one that will take sometime to truly cool down

Right Chancellor "extends hand of Min" to Khokarsa-Guadec
_______________________

KAHAVAN — In a public function yesterday, Esteemed Right Chancellor Saramat has lauded the country of Khokarsa-Guadec as close towards the "open gate of prosperity and advancement", has stated support for Her Glorious Majesty's interests for developing the burgeoning Nautasian country. This came out after the country's accession to the International League's security council.

"Similar to us, these Black Nautasians have exemplified a free and healthy democracy over a realm where there is none. In spite of this, there is more yet to be made into consideration, such as the state of its people, and the many opportunities to make their emerald banner to unfurl proudly. Right now, they are right in front of the gate of prosperity and advancement, and it is one we wish the Khokarsans to enter in due time. By the wishes of Her Glorious Majesty and through the eternal compassion of the Min people, we extend our hand to them in order for them to join us in the other side."

Esteemed Left Chancellor Umikayku, currently abroad to represent the country in the International League, has also expressed similar views after a recent phone call with Kevahayan Amin. She has also noted to have made plans for talks with the country's leaders, with the intention of setting up formal bilateral relations, though the Esteemed Chancellor has insisted to keep further details undisclosed. █

Cintrasuratri festival celebrated in Amasinai

AMASINAGARAM, AMASINAI — Starting with the blow of the conch shell over the Temple of the Rising Tides at the first sight of sunrise, the city of Amasinagaram becomes filled with solemn but joyous fervor as the great festival of Cintrasuratri commences. The five day long celebration is dedicated to the Goddess Cintradewi, revered as the Lady of the Moon and Ocean-mover, and recollects her spiritual marriage to the god Sumpusin. Thousands of devotees from throughout have flocked to sight or even touch the images of the divine Goddess for this occasion.

The various festivities was precluded by the transfer of the image of the divine goddess and her relics from the Temple of the Rising Tides to the great Temple of the Divine Union of Day and Night, three kilometers from there. Her procession would be met by another dedicated to Sumpusin (from the Temple of Serene Warmth), where a marriage ritual shall be reenacted. It is then followed with a great feast and a offering of flowers through the canals of the Temple. In attendance in particular was her Glorious Majesty and the Royal Family (save for her Glorious Excellency Kanha), who have offered a multitude of white lilies in the blessed waters.

Later activities for the coming days will include an unfurling of the sacred temple banners of the Rising Tides, a blessing of the devotees, a vigil over the sea and raising of the floating lanterns. The festivities shall conclude in the second day of the 11th month, where the relics shall be returned to their respective temples. █

Flådestation Nordvakt where the accident took place is the northern Sjealandian Naval base where its
combat fleet is stationed. It is the largest naval base in the Tynic Sea Region

Nordvakt, Grand Duchy of Kvitekoll —What was supposed to be a regular training session between the Sjealandian, Eisarean and Ambrosian militaries turned into a tragedy yesterday as a team of Eisarean and Ambrosian conscripts lost their lives in what the mayor of Nordvakt calls one of the worst accidents the city has experienced in newer times. The story was confirmed by the KSM this morning in a Press Release along with a full summary of the accident.

As part of a naval buildup in both Eisarndal and Ambrose, both nations have signed an agreement with Sjealand, allowing their conscripts and professional sailors to recieve part of their naval training in Sjealand and from the Royal Sjealandian Navy, which can proclaim one of the best naval educations in the area. According to the KSM the 13 men were taking part in a mine-clearing course the Nordvakt Naval Base, one of two primary Sjealandian Naval Bases in the northern Grand Duchy of Kvitekoll. They had started the course this summer as part of their education in their respective navies and had all been greenlit for the handling of live ordnance.

After recieving a joint introduction from Sjealandian and Ambrosian officers the Eisarean and Ambrosian conscripts worked together on how to clear a closed off firth close to the naval base. A spokesperson from the KSM Rear admiral Ole Johan Skattum said; ''Following their cleaning and disarming of the first mines they young men were called to break but rather than go to their break the men decided to continue with the exercise''

The majority of the mines had been cleared until witnesses report seeing Ambrosian Philander Hargrove recklessly treating one of the mines as it was being disarmed. It is uknown as of yet what excactly he did, but there are speculations that in his eagerness to finish Hagrove failed to take the proper security measures. This proved to be his undoing as reports indicate that at 19:54 while he was moving the mine, Hagrove dropped the mine causing it go off.

The explosion set off several other mines, and the fireball quickly engulfed his companions, instantly killing 8 of them, while responders rushed to the scene. On-site personel managed to quickly combat the fires, while medics evacuated several badly wounded people, moving them to a nearby military hospital. While in intensive care several more of the conscripts succumbed in their fights against their wounds, with the latest one being Isaac Chauncey, who passed away at 04:54 today. In total 13 people have died, with 7 wounded. The dead include 5 Ambrosians and 8 Eisareans, the 5 deceased are Isaac Chauncey (21), James Albert Clinch (20), Nathanael Tipton (19), Frederic John Ketcham (19) and Philander Hargrove (18). The Eisarean government will decline to name them until all the families have been notified and have accepted the naming of the deceased.

So far reports indicate the accident was not a fault of the KSM's training or security, and the accident is the first of its kind in 34 years.

More as the story develops.

Terrifying match in Vladevsemir as Sjealandian and Evroseian teams push eachother
A friendly handball match between Sjealand and Evroseia proved a true horror as both teams went with their best strategies in a show of strength from both coaches and players
Anni Nilsen (@Annilsen)

Vladevsemir, Evroseia —Evrosia-Sjealand, 1-0, was tweeted by Evrosian captain Vladimir Bekhterev in a friendly dig at Sjealandian Captain Ingmar Yderslev, both playing for HK Huimont in Anin, but those words were soon swallowed as the teams began a gruelling match in the Evrosian capital Vladevsemir, and even though the Sjealandians were utterly humiliated by the Evroseians last Esquarian Handball Cap, the team proved a tough challenge for the famously strong team as they went all in on the ruling world champions this evening.

Evroseia impressed in the beginning, scoring 5 straight goals on the Sjealandian half, stressing the Sjealandians how had travelled to see the match, and to the delight of the Evroseian spectators. However even with the Evroseians on their home-field and their impressing start, Sjealand wasn't scared and bit back in at the 23 minute mark of the first half, scoring 6 goals and ending the first half 8-6 to Evroseia. After the pause the Sjealandians continued the great playting, with solid help from the goal-keeper Flemming Nørgaard they entered the second half with a bang as Flemming time and again blocked potential Evroseian goals, and suddenly Sjealand was leading with 4 goals.

''I almost had to pinch my shoulder to make sure i wasnt dreaming'', Sjealandian spectator Håkan Pedersen commented, Considering last time where they beat us 32-11 this was utter madness, suddenly the ball just kept flying in on the Evroseian half, it was a sight for gods!''

Truly, a roar was heard from the Sjealandian half as their players, led by Ingmar Yderslev, scored goal after goal, but the Evroseians were far from bit, and hit back with force in the final quarter, scoring 4 straight goals in the last 5 minutes alone ending the match 24-21 to Sjealand, with Evroseian Nikolay Danilevsky as top-scorer with 11 goals. According to social media, both teams went out in the Evroseian nightlife together following the match, undoubtedly followed by their fans.

Rifati rebels take Almoustarat in deal to allow evacuation of 5,000 government loyalist soldiers

RRF forces entered Almoustarat, setting fire to the "Statue of the National Defender".

Rifati Rebels’ Revolutionary and Resistance Forces have successfully seized control of the city of Almoustarat, after securing an agreement with government forces. The deal which saw the evacuation of the city’s 5,000 government soldiers in exchange for handing over control of the city has been heralded as a major victory for the RRF, which now controls all major urban centres in southern Rifat.

As RRF units triumphantly marched into Almoustarat, Rifati government soldiers solemnly clambered onto buses and trucks, which later left the city for government lines north of Adrar. Scenes in the city throughout the day were of civilians celebrating the arrival of the RRF and the replacing of Rifat’s national flag with the flags of the RRF and Rifati Civil Administration – the rebel governing body in the south.

On social media, RRF accounts were alive with activity, with pictures of RRF commanders sitting inside the former headquarters of the city’s defenders, as well as RRF fighters celebrating with local civilians. Pro-RRF graffiti soon appeared all of the walls of former Rifati government offices and monuments.

RRF commander, General Bashshar Brahimi wrote on social media, “today we liberated Almoustarat, tomorrow we will liberate all of Rifat.”

The city had been encircled by the RRF in early September when they overran poorly defended government positions. They then opted to use propaganda broadcasts over shells to force the city’s surrender. Prominent RRF leader, Majid al-Sakrawi; a Shi’ite theologian, regularly in public urged Almoustarat to be “spared the government demanded violent siege, we must spare our people, our cherished people.”

Al-Sakrawi’s position was reportedly shared by RRF supreme commander, Rabah Bendjedid, who used his position to secure backing for a negotiated settlement of the Almoustarat siege from the RRF’s Supreme Command Council. The talks were reportedly facilitated through diplomatic channels shared by the Rifati government and the Union of Nautasian Islamic Republics.

In an audio message released by Bendjedid, he said “we have decided to pursue talks with the puppet regime in Bendigha, to secure a peaceful transition of Almoustarat to popular control. We wish to spare the civilian people the evils of war, even if the government wants us to commit. But I made clear doing so would mean the annihilation of 5,000 government soldiers and a major victory for the Revolutionary and Resistance Forces.”
Rifat’s recently elected strongman leader, Badr el-Neman despite wanting carnage and the destruction of 5,000 soldiers, relented, giving way to reason and mercy by the RRF. In exchange for Almoustarat being handed to the RRF, its defenders would be promised free passage through RRF territory to government held-territory north of Adrar.

General Bashshar Brahimi who was seen greeting civilians in Almoustarat earlier today, proudly proclaimed the city, “the second city of the new Rifat. Almoustarat, like all liberated Rifat will be returned to the people. People power will guide us to victory over the enemy.”

Leaked documents seen by this news outlet indicated the efforts President el-Neman to reject the offer and condemn his soldiers to death.

In one email to a prominent military officer he said, “I don’t want this deal, I want to cripple the rebels, how can we inflict damage if we’re just handing them cities? This is not realistic or long-sighted.”
In another he said, “I do not care about the 5,000, they will be remembered of course, but I want to see the rebels bleed for Almoustarat.”

Even these two emails will seriously question el-Neman’s rationality and empathy, clearly willing to condemn thousands to death for imagined victories. How these emails will affect morale in government forces is yet to be seen.

Despite the peaceful transition of Almoustarat from government to RRF control, there was heavy clashes elsewhere across southern Rifat. Renewed fighting around RRF-held Abu Kaqiya resulted in the deaths of at least 73 government soldiers and 32 RRF fighters. While RRF units successfully captured six villages and towns and two strategic hills in north-eastern Naghbaghesset Province, further consolidating their control around the Tal Awad border town.

Dashtani-Druze Autonomous Council votes to declare separation from Mazari regime
The DDAC has voted in favour of breaking away from Nasr’s regime after months of clashes.

In a shock move, the Dashtani-Druze Autonomous Council has voted in favour of breaking from Jalawla and declaring support for anti-Nasr forces. Secretary-General of the DDAC, Akram Aridi led the vote, saying “we do not declare independence or separateness from our Mazari brothers and sisters, but we declare our independence from the evil of Yusuf Nasr and his dictatorship. If that means war, then the devil shall have war.”

The DDAC’s vote which was put to the 380 Communal Leaders within the DDAC resulted in a 354-26 vote in support of breaking from the regime. The DDAC’s Dashtani representative, Masoud Dazani proclaimed that, “with this vote, we now have the right to reunite with our peoples.”

The debate was heated at times, with several Communal Representatives (CRs) expressing the concerns of their citizens about the prospect of conflict. Many Dashtani CRs were hawkish on the matter, citing the occupation of Dashtani-Druze towns and villages to the west of the DDAC’s territory. Akram Aridi for his part, though balanced, urged for a backing of breaking from the Mazari regime.

“Over the past few months we have lost 223 brothers and sisters to Yusuf Nasr’s war on our existence. We need to defend ourselves and our peoples. We can’t do that, if we still officially declare ourselves loyal to his broken government. We must free ourselves from him and his lackeys and pursue a proper defence of our existence and that of our peoples, outside the DDAC’s control” he said.

After six hours of heated debate, 354 of the 380 CRs voted in favour of breaking from Nasr’s government. The DDAC’s military force, known as the Dashtani-Druze Protection Group has been placed on high alert. Supported by the UNIR’s military facility near Saffad Ali, the DDPG now has the training and weapons to fully-defend DDAC territory and if it so chooses, move to liberate Dashtani-Druze towns and villages.

More as the story develops.

Pozpogs-era cave-city discovered in Gosana
By Inator Pokdoy (Ramaggeta Online) 31 October 2017

One of the entrances to the city

Archaeologists have discovered a cave-city dating to the Pozpogs era in Gosana Region, located in the northwest of hCheban Nation.

The city was uncovered following minor excavation that ensued after reports from nearby towns that mountain-climbers had found 'massive caves' lined with 'clearly ancient carvings' and 'articles'. It was found located in the mountains about 23 km to the east to the town of Zamae, the largest and closest incorporated settlement to the site.

While the region where the city was discovered was a prominent location for unearthing Pozpogs-era sites and items, navigation of the surroundings of the city has been difficult until recently due to the steepness of the mountains and a lack of infrastructure for safe passage.

Archaeologists would discover not merely a village but in fact a city extending to a depth of at least 70 meters and spanning an area of at least 1.3 square kilometers built inside and along large caves and chasms that were of natural formation in the area. The large space allowed for the city to possess very tall structures that may rank the largest amongst Pozpogs underground buildings discovered to date.

Preliminary dating estimates construction of the city to be in the 9th century BCE, but was not abandoned until the 3rd century BCE. Its construction coincides with the beginning of the Pozpogs empire's dominance of modern Ostrinubia and its widely accepted golden age. Discovery of some items suggest that its knowledge was retained as late as the 1st Warring States Period from what has been speculated to be items dropped by refugees hiding in the complex.

The city was rather well-built featuring wide alleys and ramps used to traverse through the area. Wide alleys are seen amongst few Pozpogs cave cities due to the effort needed to produce them, but also because they indicate a city's importance. The alleys in the new city were wide enough for up to 2 carts of its era to pass through side by side and still with space for 2 adult humans, while the height of most alley-spaces were at least 2.4 meters. While these measurements are inferior to major Pozpogs capital cities and hubs already discovered they still indicate a good deal of importance to the city. The city may have been able to accommodate over 30,000 inhabitants and house enough supplies for a regular population of around 20,000 for months.

Dwellings were all carved into the cave rock with several Pozpogs pillars constructed to support parts of the city; 5 were identified at time of writing. The city seemed to radiate out from a plaza at the center.

"It is a very exciting discovery," says one of the archaeologists. The city's supposed degree of importance may allow it to give deeper insights on the Pozpogs empire as well as how these cities were utilized following the empire's collapse. Study of parts of the city may also be valuable to study of Pozpogs underground architecture.
