My bad. I made a typo reenabling the Cologne Blue skin.

Cologne Blue perhaps? I've reenabled that one in case.

Maybe? But it didn't look like that before.

Not sure if this is the right thread for it, but I'm sorely disappointed that everything on WikiStates has disappeared. :(

Nvm, thank the gods for Internet archives.

Wikistates is unrelated to IIwiki. While, if I remember correctly, we got a hold of significant portions of the original NSwiki archives (and imported RP, not GP-related content - what of it we could, at least, and was in any way relevant [the archives were notoriously lax in their back-up process]), the same cannot be said for the Wikistates back-ups - if even any existed. :/

Check the edit summaries in the history of the aforementioned page: the spammer appears to be very hostile, so a permanent IP ban may be in order.

All right ran this one for a bit - it wasn't this one but I'll leave this one on for now and see how it goes.

The issue has been handled by a member of the administrative staff. Thank you for your reports.

Take a look here: https://m.mediawiki.org/wiki/Category:All_skins. Let me know if any of these ring a bell and can enable them.

Nope - just blankness. Nothing whatsoever. It's fine if I don't log on but once I do it's nothing but a blank page.

Having the same issue with Modern. Can't even get into preferences to change it back to the default.

Append ?useskin=Vector to the URL to change your preferences back, like so: http://iiwiki.com/wiki/Main_Page?useskin=Vector

Okay good that let me put it back to Vector. Thanks for that temp fix. Let me know when Modern is OK to use or if you just decide to lose it.

Hello, I'm kinda a noob when it comes to II Wiki, and I was wondering if I could have some help, particularly in terms of the uploading/using of photos on pages, since the mediawiki.org page that is linked to as help for images is not very good at explaining the proccess of adding photos to one's pages, although it goes into great detail on the syntax of differenet borders, and sizes, and whatnot.

When you have logged into your IIwiki account (Top right; "Create Account" and "Log In"), look to the left of the main text of the screen (Tools). After several links (usually: "What links here" and "Related changes" if you are on the Main Page), you should see a link titled "Upload file." Select that link. This will direct you to a new page titled "Upload file" containing a bit of information, as well as basic syntax to enter your image into an article. In the middle of this page you will find a dialogue labeled "Source file" containing a button labelled "Browse." Select this button. This will open-up a new window which will have an index of some file on your computer; navigate this dialogue to the file containing the image you would like to upload, then select the image and hit "Open." This window should then disappear and the blank dialogue box beside "Browse" should have the file path to your select image and the page should update to contain an image thumbnail to the right of the text.

Below this you will find a dialogue area labelled "File destination" containing two dialogue boxes, one labelled "Destination filename" and another labelled "Summary." You shouldn't have to fool with the filename, though you can rename the file here if you so choose, just be sure to retain the file extension (.PNG, .JPG/.JPEG, .SVG, etc.); however, I would strongly advise, in the least, categorizing your image to be located in a place you can easily find it, such as your main category for your nation. To do this, type the category in the "Summary" dialogue as shown: [[Category:CategoryName]]. For, say, "Category:Winzig" you would type: [[Category:Winzig]].

Once you have done the above, scroll to the bottom of the page and select the button "Upload file." This will upload the select file and place it in the category you have chosen.

Before you do all of this, however, you should know that IIwiki permits transclusion of Wikimedia Commons images. You can, for example, type "[[File:Some File.png|200px|thumb|left|This is a caption!]]" into an article, with "File:Some File.png" being located on the Wikimedia Commons, and the image will appear without you needing to upload it. Outside of user-generated content (flags, coats of arms, maps, demographic charts, etc.) we often suggest IIwiki users to do this rather than uploading an image with unknown copyright licensing, since the Wikimedia Commons have all of their copyright information listed and they have a massive abundance of beautiful images and useful images which are released directly into the public domain.

Hope that helps.
