Our national food item reflects our simple culture: porridge (oatmeal, in the US).

Pasta with spiced beef (or tofu... vegheads) and a lot of garlic and onions.

Garlic and onions are practically the cornerstone of our food.

There is no national food. There are too many nationalities to have a national food. Instead, each of the diffrent States have thier own respective food. Occasionaly, there are nominations for us to create a place, but the government has traditionally declined.

The national food is the Nashinal Fud.
The Nashinal Fud is made of a slice of white bread at the bottom, followed by a srip of pork, cheese, grape juice(squeezed onto the cheese), another piece of cheese, another slice of white bread( not a hamburger bun), Ketchup sprinkled on top.

In Meridiani Planum, the most typical dish is baked fish covered in a buttery sauce, and lots of steamed vegetables.

Since Syleru was both once rules by the British (1654-1953) and the Indian people (1954-1971) it's culture stems from both groups of people. It is also highly influenced from it's closer island neighbour, Sri Lanka, of which populate about 4% of the homelands of Syleru. In specific, it is heavily influenced from the Bengali region of India and the working class of Britain, so it's food is crispy, spicy and filled with rice, vegetables and hearty potatoes.

Our national dish, keeping with Hindu tradition, is a vegetarian meal often served at supper time (around 6PM) every day. It is inexpensive to produce and simple to cook, so it is highly popular in both the homelands and in colonies in Indonesia, Brazil and India itself. If you wish to learn the ingredients involved in the dish, a spoiler will be provided below. Preparation varies highly with the personal preference, but it is generally boiled, spiced and garnished then prepared in that order.

The dish, commonly called 'Fired Up Rice, Vegetables and Goat - निकाल दिया चावल, सब्जियों और बकरी' is much more than it sounds. It's a large, healthy and spicy supper with very high nutritional value, and it adheres to all British and Hindu cultural restrictions. Another bonus is that all the crops are a part of a polyculture so neither pesticides or fertilizers are used on the crops.

What You Need

+ About 100g per person of Curried Goat from the link
+ About 100g per person of standard Syleruian white rice
+ About 100g per person of Syleruian Brand Vegetable Deluxe^TM vegetables
+ 1tsp of red chili powder
+ 1tsp of cumin
+ 2 tbsp of garlic powder
+ 1 tsp of garam masala powder
+ 1/2 tbsp of ground pepper
+ 1 green pepper diced
+ 1/4 cup of vegetable oil
+ 1 onion diced
+ chopped bay leaves to taste
+ salt to taste
+ various peppers to garnish

It is inexpensive to make as these snakes often prowl and slither around the caves and hide amid the stones. A special knife (šalä) is used to remove the skin from the snake and through special methods, the blood and some venom is extracted into beakers. The skin is ground into powder, and all the three ingredients then form a special concoction which is used as spice for edible burnt snakes and other local delicatessen such as locust. It can also be added to various spirits and drinks.

It is quite spicy in nature.
