Universal suffrage is granted to all at the age of 18.
The age at which one may drink alcohol is 16.
The age at which one may use tobacco is 18.

Cannabis is legal for recreational purposes, and the age at which one may use it is 18.

Voting? You don't. We are NOT a democracy.

For everything else thou there is no age limit as we do not believe in age based discrimination.

There is no voting age, because there is no voting, we're not a democracy, we're a dictatorship. However, there are ages regarding legality. In Kakostan, the Combat Fit Age is 13, this age is usually for conscripting drop outs from school into the military, however they do not have the same legal rights and responsibilities as a legal or an adult. Since drop outs are extremely rare, this age hardly matters. The legal age is 18, more rights are given to the citizen, but not all of them, just enough for them to transfer to an adult. The adult age is 21, at this age all rights are given to the citizen. If Kakostan were a democracy, this would be the voting age.

It depends on the species of the citizen.

For humans,
Voting: 18
Smoke+drink: 18

For Solachettes,
Voting: 16
Smoke+drink: 16

Solachettes can vote and do drugs earlier than humans because their brains mature 2 years earlier than humans do.

The voting age in Songhia (back from when it had voting) was 20. If elections are ever called again, the age requirement will probably stay the same.

There isn't an age limit to pass to obtain voting privileges. However, most political leaders are appointed by the dictator currently in power. The present-day dictator decides who takes the position after their death.

The minimum age for voting, drinking (excluding wine during the Eucharist and for other religious uses) and smoking tobacco is 18. Other substances such as cannabis are illegal, although the New Waterfordian government are considering decriminalising cannabis.

At what age are you allowed to vote? Smoke? Use any kind of narcotic/drug?

You are allowed to vote in the emirate at the age of twenty one when you are considered a proper legalised adult with a firm grasp of Southern Arabian politics. Smoking is banned within the emirate along with every single narcotic/drug.

The Allyrian age of majority is self-determined. When a person feels they are responsible enough to vote or use substances it is entirely within their choice to do so. Given our extensive education programs, collective-oriented society, and time-intensive legislative process, many Allyrians do not start voting until the age of 13 or 14.

When you are 18 you have right to vote, at 16 you can go for your theoretical drivings test. At 17 you can go for your drivings license. When you are 10 allowed to drink alcoholic drinks with a alcohol % lower than 2% (for example :hvidtøl, Piedboeuf)At the age of 20 you are allowed to drink alcohol with a minimal % of 2% or more. Using drugs is illegal in Arthasia except if used with a medical certificate and only in with specific deceases, illness where the treatment is scientific being proved.

Ah since this is In Character...

Enfaru has some rather interesting definitions. The voting age is open to anyone from generally the age of 16. There are no laws regard alcohol or drugs or tobacco only a rigorous educational policy that emphasizes the consequences of drugs and the roles of doctors in prescribing drugs. Other than that, up to you.

You can vote earlier than 16 if you can demonstrate that you have both a broad cultural knowledge and a good educational background. The reason we don't allow everyone to vote from under 16 is due to restraining people from getting multiple children and then brain washing them instantly. Most people don't do this as the law stands.
