HRH King Whirnak was asked if he could explain the monarchy. His face turned red and he ran away crying.

The Bureaucracy would like to formally challenge all other nations with "complex" governments to accuratly describe their governments in as many words as neccessary, in order to determine just who exactly has the most complex government in all of Creation.

They can't all catch fire, could they? You only surveyed a thousand, put up a new poll.

Over 75% of Frenequestans aver that the Popular Legislature is "way too large".

The President and General Assembly are considering the construction of a new Capitol building, considering the old one is stuffy and getting crowded sharing the executive and legislative branches.

The Confederate Provisional Government at this moment consists of 8 people, but they are busy recruiting federal employees for the civil service.

The heads of state have resigned from the Federal Council (though not from their current offices) and designated the following people to represent them there:

1. Torgan (Chairman)
2. Dimitrios Pappas (United Valik)
3. Count Marion Fall (Gavinium Magnus)
4. Jacqueline Tsavatsa (Mivango)
5. Siras (Dekerin Domains)
6. Lord Anticles (Draconia Magna)
7. General Ios Melin (Macureus)
8. Dr. Alessandra Peroni (Vystercia-Nasucrea)

Balova's military is reporting that some POWs have been taken in combat against the Communist invaders from East Urekal. They are being housed, fed, and generally well treated.

No word has been given as to possible treatment of any surrendering or otherwise captured Balovan military personnel.

HSM Fuschakei Adalayani has set the date for coronation:

February 9, 2011.

It will mark the first time in 3,269 years a member of the Estakurian Royal Family held the office of King or Queen of Tsvarchi.

Balova's military authorities are refusing to comment as to reports that captured or surrendering members of the PSF, the secret police apparatus of the Communist invaders, have been murdered by Balovan troops. It has been confirmed, however, that Balovan civilians in occupied territory are being rounded up and kept in ad hoc detention centers.

The Imperial English Empire today issued a request that international observers be allowed into disputed territories to ensure that the treatment of interned prisoners conforms to internationally recognised standards of human rights, as well as calling for a full investigation into any claims of ill treatment of POWs.

Including the specially made robes, crown, and accompanied jewelry, the average Tsvarchivan coronation ceremony costs upwards of $100 million.

Suffice to say, jewelers and seamstresses love coronation ceremonies.

We have liftoff. Today, the colony ship Expansion was launched from the moon Tiyansol en route to the nearby planet Mersilok. Probes sent there have determined that the northern crater on the planet is capable of supporting life. We will develop a colony on this crater once we land there. We expect to arrive in 7 months and 20 days.

The Vermont Immunotherapy Scientific Regulation and Appropriations Act has passed the Vermont General Assembly and has been signed by the President, containing a bunch of boring regulations of no interest.

A flash mob estimated at more than a hundred thousand people appeared at the McAleskie Shipyard this afternoon based on a rumour that the Angelfish had returned to port. McAleskie family spokesperson Sinead McAleskie is reported to have said, "If they sold tickets, they could build another submarine."

Upon discovering that the Angelfish is still at sea, pending the resolution of the "maple syrup crisis", most of the crowd dissipated but some remained for a tailgate party.
