Vermillion SandsThe first and by far oldest Sanian territory to win its independence (1755), Vermillion Sands has long held the distinction of being one of the safest and most friendly places in the Confederacy to find yourself. Years of exemplary government leadership in Vermillion Sands have led to vast political and educational reforms, as well as strong ties with neighboring Fairstens having left Vermillion Sands with one of the best political systems, and one of the highest literacy rate’s in all of Sani. Its economy is booming, and its infrastructure is more than stable, exemplary even. Roads, railways and a modern highway system criss cross the territory, linking and interconnecting it with the rest of the wider Confederacy, free from the decay and dangers that might otherwise plague so much of the territory. Its sparkling beaches, lively night life, and friendly people make Vermillion Sands comparable to Mexico's Cancun of the late 20th century as a favored vacation destination. The territory itself is completely self sufficient, and relies on trade only for better relations with its neighbors and the outside world. The territory offers a great diversity in its landscapes, from rolling coastal lowlands, palm-treed beaches, thick forests, grasslands and savannas, and lush hills and waterfalls.
