the only nobility is that which is earned by humility. this is the standard of our culture.
truth isn't what i say. isn't what you say. isn't what anybody says. truth is what is there, when no one is saying anything.

The Patricii (upper blue bloods) and Equites (lower blue bloods) nobility are the descendants of those original survivors of the Trojan War so long ago. To avoid, inbreeding no Patrician or Equestrian is permitted to marry within his own [upper or lower] group. Also, children of the nobility are by virtue of birth excluded from immediate membership in the nobility. If these children earn a position in the Middle Class Guilds, he may one day rejoin the Upper Class. Marriage between noble children and people of the Middle Class expands the genetic heritage of the nobility, since all children are recognized as having a claim to the higher class.

Nobles and their ilk are everywhere; we're a heavily monarchist and aristocratic nation; they're a part of the fabric of the people.

Though our royal family has no real power, technically the cousins of the monarchs have titles. Their titles mean almost nothing, though. They are still expected to work like everyone else.

In 1901 two nations found on our continent united. One, ruled by nobility with an elected monarch, and the other ruled by a King. When they combined it formed a unique political system. The three Teyrns and the King became known as the Four Naomhs, and ruled as a council with lower nobility. In 1909, however, the nobility was outlawed and usage of "ar an ard" was also outlawed. (Noble names used ar an ard; IE: Seamus ar an ard Íseal, James of the high Isall)
Today, those descended of the noble families receive no special recognition and many have been lost to time.

Yes, we have nobility. It wasn't entirely difficult to implement after the Philippine Civil War; most of these nobles were already either very wealthy or in high positions of power antebellum.

We have no nobility. Decepticons rise and fall based on their own merits.

This is considered essential for the strength and vitality of the Nation. A locked-in noble class would soon stagnate and become dead weight in terms of innovation.

In the TBRE, blue bloods are somewhat common - after the several monarchs of the bear nations abdicated in favor of a united bear nation, most of them had extended families.

No nobility or royalty. However the old Southern Gentry are alive and well. Most of them have moved off of the plantations and into the city or suburbs. Though their grasp on the GCSA's economy and politics is waning, they still have influence among politicians on a state and Federal level.

In the Seglandic Revolution of 1884, the nobility was abolished, and they have the same rights as every other hard-working person in the nation. Many descendants of nobles have risen to the top, though, a notable example being Jerome Lilliolo, CEO of HydroFood, the most successful hydroponics farming corporation in the nation. It also provides the nation with 75% of its food.

What's the state of blue bloods (nobility descent or a noble) in your nation?

There are several large families of nobility in the country. They are well-respected among the general population but widely disdained by the lower classes.

There is a nobility in Olwe, but they are only slightly better off -- either financially or socially -- than "normal" people, due to the strong focus of both the government and the culture on equality. It could be said that in Olwe, ranks and titles of nobility exist only as bragging rights -- "Look what my family did!" -- and do not help a person in any other way.

All our upper classes were slaughtered in "The Great Revolution" of 1896. There is income inequality here like everywhere else. But our wealthy peoples blood is no "bluer" than that of anyone else.

Until the disestablishment of the monarchy, the Kings of TurtleShroom (or Queen) were de jure of royal blood and nobles, but because they were not allowed to marry or have children, each House of said monarch died with them, their successors (normally) not having any blood relation because of the way TS chose its monarch.

After the rise of the Chancellery, which is, in all but name, identical in structure and Constitutional purpose/delegation of power to the original monarchy, the Chancellors do not officially have royal blood (and they are not considered nobles). However, they are treated de facto as royalty.

Right now, TurtleShroom grants honorary titles and estates that are officially called "titles of nobility", but are non-heriditary and don't grant specific political power outside of the use and reverence that the title brings. (There has been a long history of monarchists wanting this to change to actual wielding of power.)

TS culture demands that nobles of foreign nations be treated with the utmost of honor and respect, but likewise, the culture demands that they act in the utmost of proper ettiquette and respect to others. It is also considered a great insult to not call someone by their title (e.g. Mister, Miss, Sir, Your Honor...).

The blood of aristocrats in the Ashainan Commonwealth isn't very blue, in fact, it is very red; The Asahinan Commonwealth's Businessmen hoist the emblem of a silver eagle upon a blue background, while the Asahinan Commonwealth's Aristocrats hoist the golden eagle upon the background of red. Aristocrats also often dress in red, and the Scarlet Guard - the aristocratic guard - often wears flamboyant red uniforms. Blue is often more associated with the business and corporate worlds of the Asahinan Commonwealth, being as that the capital of Asahina has a blue hue thanks to the many skyscrapers reflected the blue tint of the ocean.

The Asahinan Aristocracy, as it is known, controls all mainland past the coast. They have a governing system completely seperate from Corporate Asahina known as 'Asahinan Aristocratic Law', and also enforce their laws within aristocratic court, which is headed by a largely aristocratic jury. Due to immigration largely finding the Asahinan Commonwealth, the Asahinan Aristocracy is governed by a council of aristocrats and plutocrats known as the 'House of Lords'. Actual aristocrats maintain the highest amount of power, followed by 'knighted' plutocrats, normal plutocrats, and the children of aristocrats until they reach the age of maturity.

The power and influence of the aristocracy, while unaffilliated with the corporate world, may still project their influence upon them. Asahinan Aristocratic Law can effect all citizens of the Asahinan Commonwealth, though this power can be negated and is uneffective of the Commonwealth's government of Corporate Executives. Oftentimes, the Asahinan Aristocracy and Asahinan Corporate World will support each other into making important decisions about the Commonwealth, although they both will normally operate independently on civil issues.

Due to the possible conflict and civil disorder of the Asahinan Aristocracy, all titles have been simplified to either 'Lord', 'Lady', or 'Sir', to prevent determining aristocrat from plutocrat and to prevent fighting amongst their ranks. Therefore, a 'Lord' may be upon the ranks of 'Duke' or 'Count', while a 'Lady' may actually be upon the ranks of 'Princess', 'Duchess', or even 'Queen'. Normally though, Lord or Lady shall be used to refer to higher ranked aristocrats, while the term 'Sir' shall be used to refer to newly knighted plutocrats or lower ranked members of the aristocracy who have yet to prove themselves.

The current highest members of the Asahinan Aristocracy include Lady Red and Lady Norah, who hold actual nobility, and Lord Reginald, a wealthy plutocrat that has proved himself for the House of Lords many times over. The newest member of the aristocracy is Lady Mary Elizabeth, daughter of Lady Red and Hershel von Eagles, and the most recent promotion within the aristocracy is Lord Richards, a plutocrat who was given the title of Lord before his departure to 'civilized' the 'third-world'.
A complete mess of a nation known in-character as the 'North Lands'; populated by pious priestesses, wandering mercenaries, violent bandits, and various internal power struggles. Be careful of who you deal with.

Basically, a decentralized feudalistic society ranging anywhere between medieval and interwar.
