I'm sure in 1836 every army in the universe was issuing bolt action rifles.

Not to mention the color of the coats is too dark in the era of white powder muskets... there will be very limited visibility (hopefully Prem was right when she told me this)

That jacket is a _really_ horrible colour, and with those lapels he looks more like an Olympic dressage contestant than a proper infantry goddam. There's a reason most infantry uniforms of the period were either red, blue or grey. Those dyes were cheap and could be bought in massive job lots for a standard colour. Weird colours like orange, pink, green (to a lesser extent) and purple were expensive, so used only for the elites, like hussars.

In other news, I finished my steam engine. C&C welcomed encouraged.

Armor weakpoints:

Frontal: The machine guns and nose mounted device + the cockpit are seriously vulnerable. In a future war and the mass spam of guided munitions means that anything with a slight weakness would get hit. You'd lose the chain guns quickly, then the nose device. The massive, aircraft like engines are also a serious issue. What happens when your enemy fires an HE round into ti?

Sides: Do I even have to say it? The hatch things on the sides are screaming 'HEY! HIT ME HERE', then you have the engines' sides, which are also going to be a massive weak point in the design. The entire tank will get brought down in a few seconds of combat, turning into a fixed gun, rather a mobile tank. Plus with its super high-speed low-drag operator operator feel, it leaves little space for thick armor.

Rear: Most likely heat-guided missiles or munitions will got up your tailpipe like no tomorrow

Solutions: Drop the entire idea of a hovertank. Tracks = best. Widen out the hull, push the driver back to were he isn't as exposed. Remove the machine guns and nose device, throw the nose device onto the turret, as the gunner will need it there for the best accuracy. Instead of two massively exposed engines make one big powerful one and stick it in the middle. Take the side hatches and just burn them. Same armor thickness as the entire sides should be. Make the turret bigger if you have to for another hatch for the gunner/commander. Turret? Try to make the commander's hatch less exposed.

What if somebody planted a explosive on the track or thermite or when it is not in used and just sitting their waiting for attack on it.

What if someone put out a magnetic mine while in battle, so it simply goes 'HURR' and attaches itself to those pretty engines and detonates.

Dreyse needle gun invented in 1836. So while it may have been a bit "unorthodox" at the time, it still existed.
