Trying to make a Tanker/APC crewman.

Mostly fail. Top is without mask and bottom have masks. Not sure if I like em all to well but it's better then putting a fully equipped infantry man in the small space.

You would be better off drawing a Combat Vehicle Crewmember in some sort of "flightsuit" type of fireproof coverall, since that is the ideal protective garment for inside the vehicle. Armor vests or LBE vests would be too cumbersome while mounted; but not a bad idea to issue along with small arms or carbines in the event of guarding the lay up position while on bivouac or having to evacuate while on the battle line. A ballistic aviator type helmet containing all the radio and intercom gear would work, or a VBSS-like lighter helmet perhaps with the radio/IC headset over it.

Why can't you make it? All this time you've been a part of this thread and you haven't absorbed any shading ability, any black line elimination, or any technique as a whole. You should be sitting down with the best lineart available and using the TECHNIQUE NOT COPY AND PASTING.

Which means try making different shades of color to shade, try using real life weapons and your own body as a reference when you're drawing weapons and troops, try using real life vehicles as a reference for drawing vehicles. Pay the hell attention to detail and wake up.

You are not a new designer anymore and this goes to all yall who copy and paste but are veterans like Saurisisia, Graditora, Gear 1, and others who are still below average in designing yet have been posting in this thread for at least a 8 months.

Yall need to get it together and start developing, we're on Winter Break those of you who are school children like myself, yall need to start sitting down and evaluating where your weaknesses and start fixing them. If yall don't stop posting art with no improvement after yall have been here a year or more yall may need to find something else to do like play CoD or Halo 4. You're wasting everyone's time. This thread is for people who want to post art, get critiqued on what areas to improve on, and improve on them dammit, not come back 2 months later posting the same quality stuff like all this comments aren't hitting home or you just don't want to get better.

The best thing that happened to me several months ago was Premislyd telling me my lineart was only decent in which then I took on a personal vendetta to honestly evaluate myself then sit down and get better. It's time for yall to stop posting trash that you know is trash and try to get better.

For whatever reason, folks will stick to what they know. Not to defend anyone in specific. People do tend to explore their ability to create at different paces. Does it constitute a waste of time? Attention whores of the world, yes. Someone who is trying to have fun at it or just "living in the now" of their skill set, not so much a waste.

Why do I like the lineart? It supplements my writing, which is mostly off the forum. Small scale stuff fits into my tabletop wargaming and I like the idea of being able to make a variety of "paper soldiers" for other purposes. Does that mean I am less artistic? Perhaps. To facilitate using the lineart stuff in other ways, I prefer a lot of blacklines for contrast, visibility and because I need to cut around them to mount after printing.

So for me, just trying to have fun at it (and I do enjoy hybridizing modern era stuff, hence I do admittedly copy and paste at times). The originality will come later. For others, you have at 'em!
