The Confederacy of Neu Engollon is a small peaceful, neutral nation. We welcome diplomatic relations with all nations, regardless of ideology, and have room for many embassies or consulates in our capital, Genève. You are also welcome to open consulates in Burgunden, Albertville, Schwartzgarten and Panoli, our other major cities.
We are strong supporters of commerce and free economic trade. If you seek strong economic ties and desire to open new markets of trade in our nation, might we suggest opening a consulate in Burgunden, as it is the center of banking and commercial enterprise in Neu Engollon. Also, businesses are encouraged to inquire about opportunities with our Ministry of Finance.
Due to our neutrality, we have no wish to enter into military pacts or treaties with any nation, including non-aggression pacts, which imply a military alliance. Regional defense ties are maintained, as it is seen as a larger part of the defense and security of the Confederacy.
We honor all religions, ideologies, philosophies, creeds, etc.; as long as it does not incur harm to living creatures or impinge on basic human rights.
As per international law, we respect your embassy or consulate compound as your own sovereign soil, but we ask that you in turn honor International law and human rights. We also remind your personnel to respect our domestic laws when your staff leave your diplomatic compound grounds and travel within our Confederacy.
English is the official language of Neu Engollon, but Frandit (Francodeutschital), a blend of French, German and Italian, has widespread domestic usage and secondary official status. The use of Frandit was officially encouraged and mandated more than 3 centuries ago by Federal Council legislation to form a distinct national identity and remove the cultural and ethnic barriers created by using 4 or more languages. An interpreter can be supplied upon request to embassies.
We do ask that you limit your staff to 30 personnel total or under (diplomatic, security, service, etc.), 5 civilian vehicles and 2 civilian or transport aircraft. For consulates, we would ask for a limit of 20 personnel, 3 civilian vehicles and 1 civilian aircraft. Armored vehicles are acceptable, but not military vehicles, especially tanks. Please let us know if you desire additional security, which would be provided by our National Gendarmes.
Should you choose to identify your Intelligence head of station and/or agents, as well as military personnel, they will have diplomatic immunity within the limits of international law. We are only accepting one Attache team for either your embassy or main consulate. Their identity will not be revealed to third parties. Should you choose to keep military personnel or intelligence agents' identities secret from Neu Engollon that are operating within our borders, they will be vulnerable to full prosecution in our civilian and military court system for espionage activities. DIPLOMATIC COMPOUND LOCATIONS
- Embassy Row in Genève is located on Diplomacie Rue or Liberte Rue in a few blocks radius. Requests for embassies and consulates in the capital outside of Embassy Row will be taken on a case by case basis.
- Burgunden is a bustling old Teutonic city with many banks and commercial ventures, a large beer brewing culture and several entertainment districts as well as internationally acclaimed museums and sporting teams and venues. It is by far the largest metro area (including dozens of suburbs) in the Confederacy with over 14 million residents.
- Panoli is the main sea port for Neu Engollon. It has a rich, Latin history and maritime, Mediterranean style culture. It is a resort city on the Madurin coast, maintaining a vibrant recreational, night life, sporting and casino culture. It is the second most popular tourist destination behind the large metropolis of Burgunden.
- Schwartzgarten is also a large industrial city and the home of a budding technology industry in the Confederacy, led by Schwyz Defense Systems, who have their main headquarters and manufacturing there. It is considered the gateway to the northeast of the nation.
- Albertville is probably the center of the agricultural field of the Confederacy, as well as having a cosmopolitan feel for such a central city. Winter recreation such as skiing is also a major draw for the area. The Neu Engollian Hockey League is headquartered here and it is also the home practice center for the national hockey team.

COMPOUNDS AND THEIR CONSTRUCTION
Guest nations may build their own compound within reason, but they will be liable for the cost of moving the historical building in that lot to a new location, if the guest nation chooses not to incorporate it into their compound. A guest nation may specify a request to be neighbors or share a compound with another nation's embassy or consulate and The Confederacy will do its best to accommodate that request, pending the requested nation's affirmation.
