They're often used torture prisoners. Recreational reading is long since banned, not that anyone reads said book for recreation anyway.

Nationally though, they're a hit among the youngers.

The average Dib doesn't even know what a vampire is! So, even if these sordid tomes did somehow find their way on-world, they would likely be met with some variation of, "What am I reading?" Either way, we have plenty of our own bottom-tier romance novels. Some of them have tentacles.
Occasionally, I may have to graphically describe the body parts and organs of aliens that do not even vaguely resemble those of any creature of this Earth. Try not to get too aroused.

Similarly in Vudnia, not all books are labeled on the outside, so you could be reading porn in public and no one would care just as long as you didn’t try to rub one out right then and there.

Well, let's just say some bookshops had to offer them for free with other purchases. Avaerilonians do not like the series.

although it is allowed to be read and at first had much popularity it is very seldom bought or read for the matter and those that do are ridiculed.

in The Master Assassin Ezio Auditore, we view these books as a disgrace to literature, romance, fantasy, and werewolves. We use the books for fuel, goatfeed, toilet paper, and other such items...

The Twilight Series is treated like all drugs and alcohol are,it highly dangerous and no one under 21 may read them.Reading too much Twilight is considered to bring brain damage. And don't even get us started on the movies...that's right up there with crack.

The Twilight series is not banned in Iluminaria (despite grumbling from religious conservatives); but the translation into Iluminarian is regarded as sub-par, and sold particularly poorly. The other half of the reason for this (and the major reason behind dislike for the series among the traditionally religious) is that vampires are regarded as a real and present threat in Iluminaria, vampirism is a crime, and the undead are generally very poorly regarded. The release of the local translation of the series triggered a moral panic about Evil Unholy Foreign Tourists setting up Depraved Vampire Sex Cults, but this was mostly hot air and hysteria based on the visit of a small handful of Satanists.

On average, one or two people are lynched every year on suspicion of vampirism, chiefly in the nation's more backwater provinces.

The matter is viewed with general indifference. Cultural differences here keep us from really finding it interesting or even dislikeable. It's just one of those weird things foreigners are into.

The Twilight saga has a small following in WVP. Despite this, the books sell... for reasons that have nothing to do with that small following.

Like virtually all foreign products, it was never released here, and virtually no Koy even knows of the existence of such a series.

Twilight books are hated in Anollasia, so after time went by, the book was banned since it was a waste of time to sell.

We have concluded that human women all secretly desire non-human lovers.

Which disturbs us slightly... well, except for the human-fetishists; I'm sure they're thrilled.

Skaa are not allowed to read, it is punishable by death.

Among the nobility, it's unknown, but, would probably be labeled heretical and punishable by death.
