If zombies attacked the TBRE, we would probably isolate the area, find a cure, and mobilize our military.

Conscription is mandatory for at least 4 years service in my nation by everyone as soon as they leave high school. (it used to just be males but then women wanted to be equal >.>) so everyone of age, 16, has military training. we would simply quarantine the area in an attempt to stop the spread of infection, eventually find the multiple ways to kill the zombies, notify the public not to panic but to prepare and what to do if zombie should show up else where, and begin searching for a cure while keeping the public updated on the process. if the zombies ever equal over 100 at any given time within the nation the order will be given to just terminate them and we will continue work on a cure during a later minor outbreak.

of course if zombie are found and reported outside of the state anywhere in the world we will immediately go into an apocalyptic defensive state beefing up security on every inch of the borders and destroy anything that comes within 100 miles of our boarders that is unidentified, with the appropriate amount of force. Because we don't trust anyone who isn't us to be able to get their shit together.

If they attacked from outside the nation? We have sufficient automated defenses that lack biological components, meaning the zombies would be incapable of replenishing as they are cut down.

If the outbreak occurred within the nation? Research has long been conducted within the nation where risk exists should an outbreak occur. In order to effectively combat viral outbreaks and the like (regardless of source) the Transhuman Proteus' equivalent of the CDC is exceedingly well equipped and trained, and in an emergency has access to military and emergency resources more than sufficient to establish a plan of attack swiftly and efficiently.

Excellent quarantine procedures are in place. While zombies are a different to an average viral outbreak the principle will remain the same on stopping it. Archologies would be locked down to prevent infection from the outside or infection moving around inside. Drone forces would be deployed to combat existing zombies, their robotic natures making them immune from infection. Infected individuals not yet zombiefied would be cryogenically preserved until a cure could be found.
