GLOCK doesn't deserve 10mm Glory, to chamber it in such is blasphemy.

I've shot them. I feel the need to shower afterwards.

In all seriousness, I dislike the super-ass light weight, I dislike the aesthetic, I don't like how it fits in my hand, and I really dislike the lack of external safety.

My problem with the weight is that it make it uncontrollable during rapid fire. As for the grip, M1911 curved mainspring housing grip > all. Ignore safety at your peril. It's a personal preference thing, mainly.

A safety is a nice feature, but that's all.

You should never rely on it.

Eh. I've been told that the safety should be able to be relied on. You shouldn't be afraid of the weapon if the safety's on.

Better to have it, and not need it, then not have it, and accidentally blow your toe off.

Firearms Safety 101: every gun is loaded, even when it isnt. Every safety is off, even when it isnt. Bad trigger discipline is punishable by stoning.

That attitude causes more negligent (as opposed to accidental, which are rare) discharges than anything else.

Yeah. But you shouldn't be afraid of it. From the mouth of the Regimental Sergeant Major of the Coldstream Guards himself. He was complaining about how people were pussying around their rifles and acting like it was dangerous as we were porting arms for inspection.

So, always assuming that a gun is dangerous leads to dangerous handling of a gun? Sense is not being made.

The gun isn't going to kill you if you have the safety off or a round in the chamber ffs.

It won't fire unless you pull the trigger. Keep your finger off the trigger and you're fine.

P. much this. I'm saying that you shouldn't be scared something bad's going to happen because you can't rely on your safety.

Sometimes doofuses think their "platform's" safety's on when it isn't and put their stubby fingers on the trigger. Not everybody is born with preternatural firearms experience.

The machete and iron-tipped spear are the most common weapons, along with various automatic weapons.

In the USSTE, we use the M1911A1 as our sidearm.
Our main rifle of choice is the Scar-L, although our spec-ops units prefer the AN-94.
Our main sniper rifle is the Barrett XM500, though it's still under work.
Our main submachinegun is the MP5.
Our main shotgun is the AA-12, though it's mainly in testing phases.
And our main machineguns are the M27 IAR, and the Browning H2B.

If you're going to use something like a SCAR-L you may as well ditch the 1911A1 for a Rail Gun.

Unless it's a shotgun. DO they have weaker hammers... Springs? I've never really seen other guns go off when dropped on their stocks.
