A girl grows up receiving a formal education, but also being given an environment where the traditionally-feminine is promoted.

A young woman is subject to "type 2 conscription" along with men who have any involuntary health condition that makes them less-than ideal for combat service. These conscripts perform conscripted non-combat military or civil service. Those entering the military receive basic training, but their units in the military are never frontline. If they (women specifically) choose the military, they also get 9 months off their required length of service compared to everyone else.

Women have mostly equal legal rights in terms of property, freedom of movement/association, etc.

Women are expected dress with relatively high modesty, but not to victorian/sharia levels. The typical rule (which does have exceptions, particularly in athletic contexts) is that sleeves should be at the elbow, pants or skirts should be past the knees, and in formal situations, down to the ankle, and also in formal situations, a headscarf is often worn, though usually in a loose fashion that the front of the hair protrudes out of.

A majority of women are primarily concerned about marriage and motherhood after they complete their service to the state. The average married woman is a homemaker first, but many participate in some form of cottage industry or may act as support in her husband's small business if he has one. Career-oriented women exist, and tend to work in accounting, the public sector, education, and healthcare, rather than in executive roles or strenuous labor. However, it is considered unseemly (but is not illegal) for a mother of a child under 10 years old to keep a full time job. Older women do often reenter the workforce after their children are more independent.

Noble titles are agnatic-cognatic, meaning daughters are after any sons in line to inherit. An imperial dynasty cannot begin with an Empress, but if an Emperor has only daughters, the eldest daughter will inherit the throne.

Premarital sex is frowned upon as risky behavior, and society favors abstinence until marriage. Casual sexual relationships are loathed to a greater degree than people who are moving towards marriage getting ahead of themselves. That said, there are no laws against premarital sex (though there are laws against adultery).

Despite Laka being a very socially conservative state, women here are held extremely equal to men. The law prohibits any form of sex-based discrimination (while at the same time containing anti-LGBTQ wording because it wasn’t banned by the WA and the state will do everything within its power to make their lives harder), and in the public opinion any form of discrimination against women is viewed as something absurd and ridiculous.

Women actively serve in the military, with little to no sexual discrimination- it is viewed that a soldier’s physical strength doesn’t matter this much in the modern war, instead the emphasis is made on the mind, not the muscle. However during deployments to rape-dangerous areas (for example where should a women be taken prisoner she may be made a sex slave) female soldiers are issued suicide pills because death before dishonor in Laka is a normal thing.

The women also are a majority amongst high ranking government officials with both Royal Advisor and Chief of Government being female.

The Sertian Domex (1224) never defines gender, so nobody in Gadalland and Aspern really knows how to handle it. In other words, gender is not a category but a set of requirements.
"Women" and "Men" dress the same and are taught the same values, and at age 16 traditionally they choose which gender they'd like to be. This is an extremely ancient ritual.

Even though feminist organizations are banned and every self-proclaimed feminist is sent to a re-education camp, the Enlightened State considers women equal to men in all capabilities. That's why the age of retirement is equal for both sexes. Women are also deemed to be as strong as men and are conscripted into the military upon reaching the age of 18. Women have the same chances as men at work and education. Equal pay is enforced by law and protection from discrimination at work is guaranteed.

Women are encouraged to bear children through welfare and other privileges given to mothers. Women considered to be intelligent, artistic, or beautiful are encouraged to marry men that also share the same qualities as them, thus helping in the process of creating a stronger hyperculture. Just like men deemed to be unfit for reproduction, women can also be subject to sterilization or even forced abortions in a worst-case scenario.

Pre-martial sex is tolerated and widespread, although single mothers are heavily discriminated against since children need to have a paternal figure in their life to be successful in the future (according to Regenerationist thinking).

Many influential thinkers of the Enlightened Regenerationist Movement were or are women.

What is the role/status of women in your nation?: Women have equal status to men, their role(s) include work but also have primary care for their children in most cases (something most women support), as such their husbands have a legal duty to provide for them.

Too broad a question but it is illegal for a woman to have more than one husband and women are not accepted into the infantry, RAF Regiment or Royal Marines (but they can join other branches of the British Army, Royal Navy or Royal Air Force)

Also what is your societies view on pre-marital sex?: Generally accepted in a dating relationship but frowned upon in the Muslim community.

Given Zhouran's highly-impassioned warrior culture and fervid martial-ethos as well as the Kangyuli people's nomadic origins, Zhouranese women are known to be on the same footing as Zhouranese men. Not only that, Zhouranese female commanders have always existed since ancient times and is the reason why the Zhouranese were the first to have female commissioned officers, the first to have female officer cadets, and the first to have female generals, way before other countries started allowing women to serve in their armed forces. Being a martial race of warrior people, gender does not matter to the Zhouranese whether it be in the workplace or in the battlefield. Instead, the Zhouranese only prefer results over individual identity. Thus, Zhouranese men and women are both highly initiative-driven and hyper-competitive, with gender having no effect on the value and calibre of an individual.

Within the Zhouranese family structure, the decision-making of a mother is seen as equal to that of a father's. Not only that, men have never been sole breadwinners as men and women are both expected to work. From a collective survival perspective, the Zhouranese have always preferred maximizing productivity and social mobility as people themselves are the foundation of the nation and thus a home must have a strong foundation in order to not only be stable but also strong and prosperous. The meritocratic and pragmatic nature of the Zhouranese people, as well as the father and mother both being equal in the family hierarchy, plays a highly-important role in Zhouranese-Style Administrative Parenting, thus Zhouranese children grow up to become self-reliant, self-confident, pragmatic, hard-working and intelligent adults.

With Zhouran's highly-rigorous highly-competitive technical-oriented national education, women can be just as intellectually-gifted and innovative-driven as men. In Zhouran, the percentage of women studying at university in STEM fields is one of the highest in the world. Not only that, Zhouran also has one of the highest percentage of women studying vocational trade in the world. This isn't surprising since being a meritocratic society that values social mobility and labor participation & social contribution, both men and women are traditionally expected to work and earn money rather than relying on a sole breadwinner. In every workplace across Zhouran, ranging from workshops to offices, men and women are commonly seen working side-by-side. Zhouran has the world's highest labor force participation rate for able-bodied individuals aged 15 to 64 years, the lowest poverty rate, the highest employment for able-bodied individuals aged 15 to 64 years, and the lowest unemployment rate. Not only that, Zhouran also has the highest labor unionization in the world, the largest number of labor unions out of any country, and is also the only nation where labor unions have actual political influence. Within Zhouranese culture, women are described as metaphorically "pulling half of the carriage" with the other half pulled by men.

Regarding beauty standards, the Kangyuli Zhouranese are particularly known for strongly favoring natural beauty over shallow materialism. Thus, Zhouranese women have no pressure to physically alter their body to conform to unrealistic standards, instead their natural beauty is widely celebrated and fiercely defended. Given the Zhouranese warrior culture and nomadic origin of the Kangyuli people, the Zhouranese strongly favor natural and rugged beauty.
