The primary role of women is to be wives, mothers and homemakers. Women are allowed to receive an education, work and own property. Women are barred from serving in the armed forces and from being members of the government. As for pre-marital sex it is considered extremely shameful for women to engage in it but not officially forbidden. However, it is considered somewhat normal for men to engage in it due to their nature. In general, the sexual autonomy of women in the Russian National Republic is very restricted as abortions are banned (except for cases involving rape, incest and danger to the life of the mother) and birth control can only be accessed with the consent of the husband.

Women's primary role is to be housewives and caretakers of children at home. Women are discouraged, but not banned, from serving in the military and the highest positions of government (like Prime Minister and Senator). Women are allowed to become members of the armed forces just like men. Women are allowed to marry people of the same sex as same sex marriage is allowed as per Constitutional Protocols. The normal civil rights of the sex are applied to them and not to be infringed at any cost or event.

We have full gender equality in the law. Social roles between different genders has significantly changed and evolved over the past centuries, as it always has. There is much less inequality and it seems that ancient patriarchal attitudes have more or less died out gradually in favor of equality.

Women have much more opportunities than they ever had and serve in more leadership roles in regular society, governance, and military. Though traditionally, magic has always been a domain they excelled at, especially as the witch type of mage, sometimes known as a wise mare, typically a unicorn, they specialized in healing magic and nature, though not all cunning folk were women, but most of them were. This folk magic is still practiced and still taught either formally or informally, usually through apprenticeships, which have been a typical path of women's education then.

Today, all women regardless of sexuality, species, ability, and ethnicity, and whether they'd be considered as trans or cis, thrive in many of our cultures with many fluid roles over time and space.

Women in Destyntine have exacted equal rights to men. In fact, Destyntine's leader will always be a daughter of the former Queen. Women are equal to men with wages and job opportunities. The only thing denied to women are abortions, abortions are completely illegal and are punishable by death to both the women who receive them and those who perform them.

Trans-women are also allowed equal rights to those of biological women. Trans-women may even be allowed to undergo procedures to have a donated womb implanted to allow them to bear children.

Women are expected to be modest and honorable. Although pre-marital sex is not illegal, those who do not engage in pre-marital sex are more favorable and sought after. This applies to both women and men.

What is the role/status of women in your nation?
Sharifistan is a traditional society. Whilst there is a belief that men should be protective of women in general, women’s status is determined by her class, piety and behaviour with more of a focus on sexual morality than there is for men. Women’s roles vary. Most women between 17 and 45 are housewives, married women who do not work outside the home though Sharifistan is modernising and it is common for young, upper-middle class women to be professionals such as doctors, lawyers, policewomen and teachers.
What is socially/legally acceptable in your nation
Both genders are expected to be pious, be patriotic and have family values. Women are expected to be monogamous and it is a crime for a woman to have more than one husband. Amongst older and rural people as well as the industrial workforce and landed noble dynasties married women are expected to obey their husbands. Amongst the intelligentsia, business community and young people (except for in military or industrial working-class families) this is usually not an expectation.
what is your societies view on pre-marital sex?
It is considered a sin in traditional Sharifistani culture mostly due to the influence of Islam. However, for men it is only faintly disapproved of (provided that it’s consensual, heterosexual and with a girl over 15) and is glorified in more secular youth circles and in Sharifistani rap music as well as amongst some university “brotherhoods”. It is common for nobles, military men and the rich to have “pet sirens.” as they are known.
Amongst women the judgement is much more severe, whilst women often marry their lovers they find it hard to marry anyone else. Women can get labelled as temptresses and if they had more than one partner at a time it can even affect their career prospects.

What is the role/status of women in your nation?:
Women have equal status. In many ways their role is similar to men but also includes being monogamous. Men’s role includes protecting women: emotionally, financially and physically.
What is socially/legally acceptable in your nation?:
It is socially unacceptable for women to have multiple boyfriends at a time or dress in a revealing way. It is illegal for women to have more than one husband but men can legally have up to 6 wives or 4 if Muslim.
.Also what is your societies view on pre-marital sex?
It depends based on religion. In non-religious and Church of England communities it is accepted whilst in Muslim, Hindu, Sikh and Jewish communities it is frowned upon.

What is the role/status of women in your nation?
Women's status as determined by their conduct (though men are supposed to be protective of women by definition). Their role is extremely varied with all jobs except infantry soldier (males only), gynaecologist and midwife (women only) being done by both genders. Women with pre-school aged children are expected to take a break from work until their children are old enough for school, however.

What is socially/legally acceptable in your nation?:
It is socially and legally accepted for women to do many of the same things men do, however, they are expected to be monogamous and to dress modestly. In more religiously conservative circles they are expected to wear hijabs.
Also what is your societies view on pre-marital sex?
It is considered a sin due to the influence of Islam and Coptic Christianity. There is a growing minority of atheists, however, who consider it morally neutral.
Mostly represents my views but what I think a Middle Eastern nation should do which will be sometimes different to what I think a western nation should do(because the people have different needs in different places)

What is the role/status of women in your nation?
Highly revered and respected. The highest echelons of the Holiest of Holy Orders open only to women. Women occupy positions in all roles and levels of society.

What is socially/legally acceptable in your nation.
While the status of women is elevated in comparison to many societies, Orderiam is a deeply religious and conservative society. Both sexes are expected to be pious and follow the dictates of Ecclesiastical laws and customs.

Also what is your societies view on pre-marital sex?
As long as it takes place between courtesans / courtiers and unwed persons, it is acceptable. Anything else is forbidden.

I keep seeing this at the top of the list in the forums, so I should probably respond.

Women in New Jeromia have historically had more rights than men. The Komejo religion makes up most of our religious population, and that religion gives women more rights. However, demand for more gender equality and a clash with modern western culture have both brought men's rights up to the level of what women had. Still, this isn't perfect, for example, many (though not the majority) Komejo congregations ban male leaders. And media portrayal of men still might describe them as less than equal.

Although women's rights are prevalent, one thing that may seem strange is a lack of government-funded abortions in such a country. This isn't something that has been introduced, most likely because Komejo has traditionally been against abortion. Most people support it now, but the majority don't support their tax dollars funding it. This, like most other things, is subject to change in the future, if people start to want it more.

Women legally have all the same rights and freedoms as men. The rights of women are not explicitly protected by the constitution, but the constitution protects the rights of all people equally. The only thing women are officially excluded from is combat service in the military. They can join the military in a non-combat position. Societally, women are encouraged to present themselves effeminately and well groomed. They are also encouraged not to take abuse. Single women are encouraged to work full time while married women are encouraged to work part-time. Mothers who work full time and housewives are both very common. Both men and women are encouraged to get married. Families are encouraged to have between 2-6 children, obviously this burden falls more so on the mother cause she’s gotta push em out. All and all, women are encouraged to be strong, hard working but also feminine and graceful. Technically, since these are all just social pressures there are no legal boundaries keeping women from expressing themselves however they feel.

Women make up 30% of Congress
Women make up 5% of the Senate
Women make up 25% of City Mayors
Women make up 3 of 22 State Governors
There has never been a female president
Abortion is illegal.
Birth control is legal.
(It’s called control yourself and you won’t need an abortion :) )

I’m accordance with Islamic principles, women are given equal rights to men in Insaanistan. 12% of women said they experienced sexism at least once within the past year. Our current leader is Sultana Soraya Khan, despite the fact she is married. Sexual assault and rape are taken very seriously, but so are false accusations. Women occupy many government positions and make a significant portion of parliament. 47% of doctors in Insaanistan are female, along with 34.7% of lawyers, 67% of teachers and 26% of business conglomerates.

Women are generally seen as inferior to men in Melrovia, with a few exceptions (if they are in the priesthood or inherited their position of nobility.)

Wives are fully subject to their husbands and considered to be their property.

A woman may not speak without the permission from her husband or spoken to directly. Strangely, same sex relationships are forbidden for men, but it is permissible for women. It is also considered shameful for a woman to cut her hair any shorter than above her shoulders.
