I cannot speak for the other, but in this country, everyone (same-sex couples, opposite-sex couples, and polyamorous households) must get a domestic partnership to obtain legal privileges.

On the topic of marriage, the Adrian Empire makes no attempt to legally define marriage instead recognizing only civil unions (of which marriage is considered on par with) allowing churches to define a marriage and provide their services to whomever they please, at this point only 3 denominations of Adrian Religion will sanctify a homosexual relationship, this out of literal hundreds, and the more than 80 whom will sanctify a alien relationship.

The Adrian Empire has a very low level of homosexual relationships, to the point that some regions have only read about it in historical texts, other primarily Liberal -thinking areas of Adria have very high populations of homosexuals, these being the relatively few areas where homosexuality isn't considered a sin or some form of rare mental disease. Not for any underlying religious purpose, but because same sex unions have had their own cultural trappings here for thousands of years.
