This is a brief history of the Kingdom of Freundom.
Jacques Fréun was a French explorer. He was sent to explore the First New World in 1548. (The Second New World is North America.) He and his crew found what is presently Freundom about a year later. He named it Freundom after himself. (Freundom is a portmanteau between Fréun and Kingdom, literally meaning Fréun's Kingdom.) He made the "é", an "e" to keep the lettering simple.
In 1650, Freundom lost a war to France. France claimed that Freundom was territory of the crown because France funded Fréun's journey to the First New World. The Freundomese lost easily to the French do to the fact France's army had better weapons, more soldiers, and better training. There were only 2000 settlers at the time in Freundom and only 100 of them were soldiers.
300 years later, in 1950, Freundom declared it's independance. Freundom had 20 million people living in it. It was still teritory to France and Freundom did not have many rights in the French government. It was an excellent time to declare independence because France was still recovering from World War II and Hitler's atrocities. Freundom won it's independance after many hard battles after ten years.
Freundom became a kingdom ten years later in 1960. The US of A assisted Freundom in the years after the war. They provided economic assistance to Freundom. After the United States left Freundom, a friendly family came to power. The family became a royal family then. 98% of people in Freundom are fans of the royal family. The member's of the royal family is only known to the people as their titles (such as "The King" or "The Princess".
The Kingdom is currently a constitutional monarchy ruled by the people.
