The Britennenean Workers' Committee has decided to give homosexual entities the right to practice their sexuality without any forms of discrimination.

The debate:

"Homosexuals have suffered too much under Andrei Stepanov. We must give them their human rights, or the Communes will restart their rebelling. If that happens now, who know how long the People's Democracy will last? The only solution is to end discrimination of sexuality. We should also give them the right to marry and get a civil union while we're at it. Human Rights organizations will start praising us", started Albert Yakovlev, politician from the Democratic Socialist Union.

"No! It is an immoral creation of capitalist world. If we do this, we surrender ourselves to Western capitalism!"- Christian Communist Party's member, Rudolf Vasilyev stated.

"I for one agree with Yakolev. To become a truly democratic nation, we must abolish sexual discrimination. Also, we cannot let religion define our country. All who support this, raise your hands!"- Vladili Medveests, leader of the Revolutionary Communist Party, and Prime Chairman of the Workers' Committee.

The legalization passed 1700-350.

The Homosexual populace of Britennene celebrate in the streets, as the government will be funding the next PRIDE parade. The government is opening gay bars around Britennene, and almost 1 million homosexuals have already been married.

The Norsefire government expresses its utter disappointment towards the law legalizing homosexual acts.

We believe that homosexuality is a detastable, immoral sin that destroys families and harms society. As such, we urge the Britennenian government to reconsider this situation and once again criminalize homosexuality, as well as same-sex marriage.

The Christian Communist Party is suggesting it, but it seems that 1700-350 is a too large majority to Veto this legalization. The Social Democratic Labour Party is the only party which supported reconsidering this.

The Workers' Committee suggests for you to draw back the threat, or it will be taken seriously. The decision has been made, and cannot be changed. Britennene will progress to become a socially developed nation.

However, we have kept our military budget. There is no fear of Britennene becoming an anarchic stateless wasteland.

I shall remind to you too, that this is simply a legalization of a scientifically proven normality. Waging a war about this simple act is simply foolish on many levels.

Considering how oppresive your government is, I'm fairly certain your citizens will not support you attempting to limit the rights of other nations. If war does take place, Vettrera will help Britennene.

Britennene is still confused about your radical point on homosexuality. To us, it is simply a small legalization with nothing harmful in it. To you, it seems like the end of the world. I shall blame cultural heritage for this. As we Britenneneans are far more radical on economic than social areas, it seems your radicality is on the social side.

To be blunt, opposing homosexual rights is pretty much as bad as racial segregation. Which is why Vettrera took steps to diversify and find equality a long time ago

We don't think you understand that this was a decision made by the democratic government of Britennene. They cannot just ban homosexuality, and to be honest, I don't think the people of Britennene would be very happy if they did.
