1. Non-pharmaceutical drugs of all kinds are strictly prohibited. Exceptions may be made if the drug, despite being non-pharmaceutical, has some medicinal properties or legitimate therapeutic use, but if so, a prescription, accompanied by a signed note from a physician, is required.

UPDATE: Additionally, an exception will be made for non-pharmaceutical drugs used for religious or cultural rituals, provided that said drugs remain on the premises of the embassy.

2. The ambassador and all persons employed in or by the embassy, as well as their family members, must be vaccinated against yellow fever. Evidence of yellow fever immunization is required for anyone entering the country, whether in an official, unofficial, or private capacity.

3. Pets are permitted, provided that they are not exotic, endangered, or wild animals. Pets must be microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, spayed or neutered (as the case may be), and free of internal and external parasites (fleas, etc.). A written note signed by a veterinarian verifying that the pet, or pets, meets these criteria, is required.

UPDATE: Animals no longer need to be microchipped, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, or otherwise conform to health regulations; however, animals that do not meet these requirements must remain on the premises of the embassy. In the event of an animal escaping, your embassy will be held legally responsible for any injuries or deaths that may occur.

4. No more than 10 security guards may be employed in or by the embassy. Each guard is limited to 2 weapons. Persons who are not guards are allowed 1 weapon only. Persons under the age of 18 require parental permission to possess a weapon (and they must be 15 years of age or older). The following types of weapons are prohibited: Automatic weapons. Semiautomatic weapons. Explosives and incendiaries. Nuclear, chemical, biological and other weapons normally characterized as weapons of mass destruction. Guns, whether concealed or carried openly, may be carried legally in public, subject to any prohibitions which private businesses or home owners may impose. Guns may not be brought into hospitals, schools, childcare facilities, government buildings, animal shelters, or other places from which guns are prohibited. An exhaustive list of such places is available on request.

5. Vehicles that are armored or weaponized are prohibited.

6. Alcoholic beverages of all kinds may be legally brought into the country, but serving beverages to minors (those under the age of 18) is prohibited.

7. Violation of any of these rules may result in disciplinary action, up to and including expulsion from Zimbezia.
