Solarus

The Esteslaw capital of Solarus is new by all standards, and heres a little explanation why...

Solarus means "of the Sun" and the first king of the Esteslawian Empire(Dyokletis I) called himself the Sun Emperor. He decided to move the capital from Rostov to a small village on the east of the Crimean peninsula called Kerch. He built a castle there during his reign, and it has long since stood as a historical landmark.

During the 14 century, at the height of the Empire's power, Solarus grew in to a large bustling town. It was adorned with Cathedrals, villas and lovely little rural settlements on the outside. At the time it was the richest city in Europe and held sway over 14 000 000 subjects. When the Slavs attacked the Empire in the late 14th century, the city was razed to the ground. All that stood was the castle. In no time however, the city was rebuilt.

The Empire collapsed in the early 16th century, and under pressure from the French King, the ruling families of Exrasus had to leave. With the royal family gone, the citizens also left, and the city began to rot. Vegetation overcame it and it was unrecognisable.

In 1922, during the Franco-Esteslaw war, people began to move back to Solarus, and it once again became the official capital. it was slowly rebuilt, and today it stands as a testament to the resilience of the Esteslaw peoples.
