The city of Scio Utopia is the largest city in the nation, as well as the most densely populated. The above ground portion spreads out in a circle with a 3 mile radius. This portion houses a tenth of the nation population. under neath the city center is the Government fortress section. going 1 mile deep, the fortress is heavily fortified, and encompasses the various Scientific Departments, as well as the Archives, a large embassy, the seat of government/evacuation ship Rapture, as well as a full military base and training grounds of the NSC National Guard.

Jankenshuto is incredibly old, probably inhabited for three massu (approximately 4,500) years. It was originally called Chushuto, and became the second most important city in the Kamuri Empire, after the capital of Kamuri itself. It is the home of one of the two schools of Zaakuwando scholarship that evolved into the Orthodox churches--Northern Orthodoxy in Chushuto and Southern Orthodoxy in Kamuri.

After the collapse of the Kamuri Empire, Chushuto was the capital of a large kingdom by the same name. It lasted until it was absorbed by the Jankenjin Empire during the Second Reunification of the Jankenjin, where it was renamed Jankenshuto and made the Empire's capital. Following the collapse of the Empire, Jankenshuto was seized by the nascent Republican movement, and made the capital of the new Triune Republic of Jankenjin, which it has remained until the present day.
