The Cosparian Armed Forces largely sees no difference between men and women. Women are eligible to serve in any position, up to and including combat, that men hold. However, female recruits must meet the same physical fitness requirements as men, which has deterred some from joining.

Additionally, women receive slightly different treatment; they are not mandated to sign up for the draft (though may do so voluntarily), and receive more extensive training in hand-to-hand combatives--basic H2H moves are taught from day one and intended as a deterrent against sexual harassment (sometimes the only way to get a point across is a good old-fashioned ass-whooping).

Women have historically served in many roles in the Purpelian military. Some times even on the front line fighting. Although historically this has been rare simply due to lack of physical strength up until well into the gunpowder age. In recent times their most notable placings are in the tank core which accepts mainly women due to strict height restrictions but also as snipers, pilots and other duties where lugging huge weights around and melee combat are less expected. Not to say that there aren't any in the infantry of course but we do practice equal standards for acceptance so that is a bit of a limiter. Many of the IFV drivers are female though.

And no, there is absolutely no segregation between the sexes and fraternization and mating is encouraged by the army as it is seen to increase morale.
