The military of República Española consists mainly of the remnants of the Republican Army that fought in the Spanish Civil War. Though largely destroyed, the army makes up for it with its experience in guerrilla warfare and strong discipline.

In addition to the Republican army, the two main trade unions of República Española (CNT/FAI) operate a much larger, though less well trained, militia army (known as the Unidad Brigadas, or Unity Brigades).
