"...Canada became part of the now nationalized NATO in 2290..."
- Quoted from,Fallout: A history of the Post War Earth 2077-2305

So basically,Canada never really recovered from The Great War of 2077 and eventually was taken over by NATO,which had become its own national entity after the War. From what can be found about Pre-War Canada,it seemed like a decent place, until its annexation by the United States in 2060.

I honestly didn't know Canada existed in the NS-verse. I always thought NS was set on some massive planet that can somehow accommodate like 50 billion countries and the only countries around were the ones in the game. But, I suppose most Grenbatzians are indifferent and the government holds a peaceful diplomatic stance as with all nations unless we or one of our allies is attacked by one of them.

OOCly I freakin' love Canada. It's one of my favourite countries.

ICly Radiatians have never heard of it. I don't mean that in a "we're in a different universe way" (although we are). Even if we were in the same universe, the average Radiatian doesn't know what's at the end of his street, let alone outside of his country.

This is exactly how I view the NationStates world to be!

But yeah, if Canada does exist (I'm sure there is a Canada nation somewhere) Ivernia has no beef with them. Canada's cool. :)

While the Imperium's official view on Canada is neutral despite racial issues, most of the Imperium's populace views them as a crazy bunch of pasty rednecks that live off of donuts and moose meat on top of another bunch of pasty rednecks that live off of hamburgers and french fries.

We tried multiple times to seize it from the US ever since they annexed it back in 2015.

In the alternative universe I've created Canada is a thriving social democracy with a strong military, a high human development index score, a respectable economy, and far-reaching social freedoms with incredibly close ties to our nation (so they're not radically different from RL Canada). They were a vital source of supplies in our campaign against the USSR during the Winter War, and they later provided us support in the war against the Third Reich, and have ever since been delightful trading partners.

Canadians frequently visit our country as tourists and we happily visit theirs in kind. Our people regard one another warmly and share a mutual respect for one another.

Ah, yes. "Canada". From that "Cold War" military fiction series (Happens to be quite popular, as a matter of fact).
I suppose it's a decent enough place, given book description.

The TBRE is quite like Canada - socially, economically and environmentally - so we're naturally quite friendly to them.

We would respect them more if they weren't one of America's puppets and we would love to overthrow Stephen Harper and his terrible Conservative Party for them.

Canada? Oh, a Human Realms country. I do not see the point in talking about it.

OoC: For the record, I am Canadian. IC, Dyste simply has no interest in RL countries.

Our major import from Canada is Tim Hortons. Hockey hasn't quite caught on yet, due to our lack of ice.

It was once a vast land without enough people to properly defend it all, and remarkable for having a huge swath that was cold enough to support polar bears. When we invaded Earth, taking it over was fairly easy.

Now, it is most commonly known for Megatron Energon Earthian Refinery #130, located in the area once known as Alberta, which processes the oil from the Athabasca Oil Sands. This oil is considered to be of poor quality. It's extremely heavy crude, and we prefer sweet light. Still, it's there for the taking, so we're taking it.

Since when does a lack of ice stop anyone from playing hockey? Just put up an arena and run some freezer coils under the rink. It'd cost a fortune, but it's worth it for the WTFs you'll generate if you win. For bonus points, call your team something goofy like The Mighty Ducks and then win!

RL Canada is actually part of Narnia. The land is stereo typically seen as a vast, frigid wilderness with an abundance of natural resources. Narnia's Archduke is known to own the oil sands as well as some Northern mines and it has made him a very rich man.

A "tolerant", "multicultural", queer-loving country sliding down to the dark path of socialism, and eventually in the future, communism.

At least we don't give a damn towards their PM (Stephen Harper), Carly Rae Jepsen, and Justin Bieber!

The DMZ between us and Canada is as tense, if not more tense, then the Korean DMZ. Only thing is, they claim they don't know why we put it up, and they still send us invites for a drink once and a while... it's a trap, we're sure.

Rome sees Canada as a daughter country due to having it previously as a Commonwealth nation, but allowed them to become independent. So Roman females treat Canadian little girls and teens like cute little children, and Roman males treat Canadian children and teens as little buddies to represent how much they love Canada. As for adults, Romans and Canadians have a healthy if not, Mother and Daughter relationship.

We've met a few seals and whales who tell stories about the place. Supposedly it's very cold. Sea Ponies don't like cold water, so we stay well away from places like that.

Our opinion on the newly formed Dominion of Canada is quite neutral. We have a non-aggression pact with them as well as the recently United States of America. Many of our populace once resided in Canada.
