Attention Nations of the World,

The Archduke and Archduchess of The Grand Duchy of Aexalla have recently decided that remaining in almost complete solitude is not what is best for Aexalla, and wish to end their policy of isolationism. Once this message has been sent out to the world Aexalla will begin accepting applications for the establishment of foreign embassies. All embassies will be located in the Aexallish capitol of Sanguis, which happens to also be the largest and oldest city in Aexalla. Consisting of three peninsulas, Sanguis is a large metropolitan city that is connected by various bridges, water ways, autopistas, and autovías. All embassy buildings are located in Sanguis and are only the finest of establishments. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will do its best to make the embassy comfortable and agreeable for the diplomats. We expect embassies to be able to operate independently after three months, but before that time The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will assist in any matters requested of it by the diplomats.

The goal of this program is not only to increase Aexallish foreign relations, but to spread public knowledge of Aexalla to the outside world and to expose Aexallans to different cultures.

Embassy Application Form and Related Information


i.All embassies in Aexalla are required to be established in the name of peace, partnership, and security. This means all militaristic actions will be seen as a direct attack on Aexalla and will be immediately reciprocated.

i.i. Applications that refuse to follow this requirement will be rejected.
i.ii. Nations with embassies in Aexalla who fail to abide by this requirement will result in all diplomatic staff being deported and the embassy building being vacated immediately.

ii. All Ambassadors (or equivalent ranking diplomats) are granted diplomatic immunity.

ii.i Diplomatic immunity is defined as being free from any form of prosecution by the government.
ii.ii. Diplomatic immunity is not valid if linked to first-tiered indictable offences as defined in the Aexallish criminal code, such as murder, manslaughter, terrorism, espionage, sabotage, etc, and minor summary offences such as speeding.
ii.iii. Diplomatic immunity is not granted to other diplomats, apart from the Deputy Ambassador (or equivalent ranking diplomat) when an ambassador is not appointed or unavailable.

iii. The land plot in which the embassy is established upon is under the sovereign of Aexalla; however, it is owned by the owner of the embassy.

iii.i. This means that the land will be maintained by the owner of the embassy, similar to private properties.

iv. Once diplomatic staff leave the grounds of the embassy building, they are expected to respect the laws and property of Aexalla and its people.

iv.i. This means that weapons are not permitted outside the grounds of the embassy building without being licensed for public ownership by the Ministry of Health and Safety

v. All weapons must be inspected and certified for private ownership by the Ministry of Health and Safety. A maximum of one rifle per security staff member, one side arm per security staff member and three other defence weapons (batons, pepper spray, tasers, etc) per security staff member are allowed. Armed vehicles are strictly prohibited.

v.i. Unauthorised ownership of weapons in Aexalla is a serious crime punishable by death, and all diplomatic staff will be tried for terrorism against Aexalla and the embassy building will be vacated.

vi. There is a limit of twenty diplomatic staff members, twenty-five security staff members and fifty service staff members allowed.

vi.i. Locals are ready to be hired if necessary.

vii. All drugs, narcotics, animals, plants, animal-based products, plant-based products must be declared. If unsure, declare.

vii.ii. Failure to do so will result in a fine.
vii.iii. Failure to declare prohibited items will result in the items being confiscated and the criminal being tried in court.

First of all, please allow me to convey the thankful regard of President Garnet til Alexandros for your represented government's positive affirmation and approval of our represented government's ambassadorial emplacement. The United Provinces government sincerely hope that the establishment of a Yohannesian diplomatic mission in Aexalla, that in the form of an embassy, shall further strengthened the diplomatic tie and further open the possibility of a deeper economic relationship and trade connection between both the Grand Duchy and the United Provinces.

Secondly, the United Provinces government fully recognise the sanctity of your represented government's jurisdiction pertinent to the above mentioned embassy in Aexalla. First being your statement regarding protection from pirates: we have relayed your information to the Diarchs and they were displeased with your statement. It was perceived to be a threat, but after due consideration the decision has been reached to assume Nissau-Castille meant no harm. Secondly regarding your private hangar request: we have no hangars empty within our Sanguis airport, but one could be built specifically for Nissau-Castille's diplomatic use. Plans for the hangar to be built shall commence immediately as long as this is funded by Nissau-Castille. Dear Minister Bosdijk,

On behalf of the Court and the people of Nassau-Castille, I would like to extend a warm thank you for opening up diplomatic relations with our state. First, I would like to assure you, the Diarchs, and the Skriña that the intentions of our statement regarding pirates was entirely benign. We wish nothing less then to offend a nation with whom we seek diplomatic relations. It was only meant to assure all concerned parties in the Grand Duchy that the acts of pirates who work at the behest of the Court and the Kingdom shall not be extended to vessels who make it plain knowledge that they originate and belong to the Duchy of Aexalla. This is a promise that the Court extends to all nations with whom they see relations. We apologize for any distress this may have caused. Second, the matter of the hangar, we are willing and able to fund all necessary construction projects to accomplish this goal. If you would allow it we would send representatives of Lord Stuart and his family for the purpose of overseeing arrangements both in the construction of the hangar but also the set up of the embassy building itself. We are willing to pay for any reasonable expenses.
