[Hibernion (Ancient)]

What are branches of service in your nation?

Hibernion has only four branches(in order from largest to smallest): Army, Air Force, Navy, and Special Services

[Western Visayas and Palawan]

Under the WVP Constitution, Palawan is absorbed into the Republic. Hence, the WVP military is often known as the "Western Visayan Military."

The Allemannian Armed Forces consist of two branches.
The Army (Hær) and the Air Force (Lofdvóben), we do not have a Navy because we are landlocked.

The Army of Wolfmanne, the Commonwealth Navy and the Commonwealth of Wolfmanne Air Force. Marines are fully integrated into the CN as the Wolfmanni Naval Infantry.

Army

The UNSC Army is in charge of prolonged ground warfare and standard conventional assaults. Founded along with the Marines and navy as the original three emergency branches the Army has a long track effort in successfully defending the UNSC and the Human race from the dangers of external threats. The UNSC Army holds it's own variant of the Spartan program and is (along with other branches) headquartered on Reach. The Army has it's own weapon variants and is under command of Master General Karīm (General of the Army when not being referred to) from the Arabian Republic, his history is ironically similar to the Sangheili CiC Thel.

Marines

The UNSC Marines are the backbone of combat units within the UNSC, under command of Aulus Atilius Agricola. The UNSC Marine Corps is it's most well known and loved branch as it holds the famous track history of participating in the biggest battles of the Human-Covenant war. The UNSC Marine Corps is the most public in appearance and is the only branch that supports foreign nations in disaster relief on ground. Both the Marines and Army help teens out when they enlist in future needs such as college.

Navy

[Radiatia]

The four official branches are:

- The RFA (Radiatian Federal Army) - standard army and largest force, and although there is a large active professional force, conscripts form the backbone of the reserves.

- The RFAF (Radatian Federal Air Force) - Was until recently the second largest force, and until recently had the largest proportion of the defence budget allocated to it, but this has changed.

- The RFSF (Radiatian Federal Sea Force) - The navy. Currently undergoing a massive upgrade, including a major recruitment drive, planned construction of two new CVN Aircraft Carriers (along with the four we already have) and basically has a lot of money being thrown at it right now.

- The RSEF (Radiatian Special Elite Force) - A smaller, but extremely well trained special force who are well known for their proficiency in urban warfare and harsh terrain, and were most recently deployed in the Krebolian Civil War, as well as in the Hadininan War.

- R-SOD (The Radiatian Special Operations Division) is occasionally considered a military branch, but it is not officially so, due to it being under the direct control of the Office of the Prime Minister rather than the Federal Ministry of Defence. It is the intelligence agency of the Radiatian Federation.

The Koy People's Army is divided into six branches:

[United Socialist Republics of Lupina]

There are currently four branches of the Lupine Armed Forces:

Army- the largest branch of the combined armed forces and the greatest financial investment as determined by the Ministry of Defense. A core of professional soldiers; mainly in the officer corps, dominates over the vast majority of a conscript army. Currently in the process of a moderenization program and a shuffle in the General Staff.

Navy- due to the relatively small area of coastline; this branch of the military gets the least amount of funding and as a result the Lupine Navy is no larger than a flotilla in comparison to the larger navies of other nations.

Air Force- the third largest branch (between the Army and the Air Defense) and second in line for greatest importance, resulting in being the second largest financial investment allocated by the Defense Ministry.

Air Defense- the second largest branch; due to the great fear of an aerial bombardment of civilian and military, the Ministry of Defense invests heavily in weapons designed to keep the skies clear of enemy aircraft.

There is currently plans for a fifth branch: Rocket Detachment. The appearance of this branch depends heavily upon whether the nuclear weaponization program is successful within the next five years.

Her Majesty's Armed Forces are divided into four distinct service branches. The branches are the Royal Army, the Royal Navy and Marines, Royal Air Force, and the Royal Armed Guards, a branch dedicated to defending the monarch and family.

The King's Guard (kinda like the national guard)

The branches of the Sigvardian military consists of the Royal Guard, which is the offensive arm, the Coast Guard, which is the defensive arm, and sometimes the Office of Special Operations is counted as a branch too, in which case its responsibility is the political side of warfare. All branches has access to land, naval and air assets.

[Nui-ta]

The Nui-tan military is first divided off of forces rather than off of whether they work on land, air, or sea, THEN they are divided by their land, air, or sea specialties.

For an infantry force: NT-IF

Standard Corps (general soldiers, can further be divided up into the Standard Infantry, Standard Navy, and Standard Air Force). Abbreviations are NT-SC (the Corps as a whole).

Fun fact: Standard Corps officially has 530,000 soldiers. In actuality, the number is close to 800,000, but the remaining 250,000+ are reserve forces who almost never even wear a uniform or see combat. (Last resort only).

Elite Corps: (elite soldiers, specially trained to handle covert missions and assassinations where discretion is needed rather than brute force). They are also divisible into whether or not they specialize on land, sea, or air, but they don't have their own army, navy, or air force as there are only 20,000 soldiers total, including reserves. They either operate alone or act as well-trained extras to command Standard Corps.

Fun fact: Elite Corps members do not follow rank hierarchy like Standard Corps (or most armies in general) do. They have the same ranking system as Standard, but instead of commanding set amounts of soldiers between them, they get jumbled up randomly like a grab bag into squads where there can be several officers and no privates whatsoever. The reason for this is because their focus is more for pin-point work. Having a whole battalion would defeat the purpose of their covert operations.

King's Guard: These soldiers are picked out from Standard and Elite Corps to be the personal guards of the Royal Family and of high-ranking governmental officials (The Prime Minister, the Deputy, and cabinet ministers who are abroad). There are only 1,850 of them. They are very well-trained and highly specialized towards bodyguarding. You must be at least a Lieutenant in Standard Corps (or a Corporal of the Elite Corps) to even be considered for a position on the K.G unless you have a special referral from the Emperor or the Minister of Defense, and in order to get one of those....you better be pretty good.

Fun fact: You also need to pass an entrance test, which not only involves testing in hand-to-hand combat and with weaponry, but also proficiency with administration of first-response medical care (since you'll be responsible for someone else's life), tactical driving, urban survival skills, and surveillance.

Oh, and you need to re-take the test every year or you get kicked out.

ILOP, also known as Internal Law and Order Police: Okay, so this IS NOT A PART OF THE MILITARY PROPER, but many ILOP officers double as actual soldiers. In fact, being a soldier is not mandatory for becoming a police officer....but it helps. Helps a lot. ILOP serves two purposes: Nui-ta's police force, and Nui-ta's "secret service".

Fun fact: ILOP can actually be further split into two branches as well (although this dichotomy is unofficial). There are the ILOP officers who actually are just policemen and policewomen, and then there are the ILOP agents who do the secret service work with police work as a cover for their real jobs. Fun.

And lastly....

Blood Limit Battalion: This was a special group reserved only for soldiers who were trained in and could use Nui-ta's "trump card", the Blood Limit Liquidation System. This weapon is a set of drugs that inhibit the soldier's ability to feel pain, increase stamina, and put the soldier into a sort of trance (making them psychologically more capable of acts of warfare). There were only about 700 soldiers, and the batallion was deployed ONCE for the Nui-tan Partition as a last-ditch strike on the capital.

Fun fact: Good news? They won. BAD news, the pills cause cardiac shock and a mental illness called "Mim sickness" (total insanity, people with this sickness become permanently violent and twisted sociopaths). It wasn't the enemy that wiped out the BLB, it was the drugs. Only 300 soldiers still remain (the rest either died of side effects or are locked away in mental wards) and the use of B.L has been discontinued to keep the remaining 300 alive.

...at least...discontinued for now.

Officially, the Tyrannian army is referred to as the Imperial Legions (LEGIONES IMPERIALIS), the navy as the Imperial Navy (CLASSIS IMPERIALIS) and the airforce as the 'Legion of the Air' (LEGIO CAELI)*.

*Initially the Tyrannian airforce was regarded as a specialised division of the Imperial Legions, hence its name. In English, the Tyrannian airforce is usually referred to as such rather than the literal translation of its Tyrannian name.

[Fatatatutti]

Fatatatutti's Army and Navy are not considered "branches" of anything but independent organizations with (hopefully) good cooperation between them.

The Army, officially known as the Militia, includes the Tank Corps and the Air Corps. The Air Corps has become almost de facto an independent organization, though it doesn't have its own Council of Generals. The Heavy Infantry and the Light Infantry are more like informal designations than branches. Likewise, Commandos are not thought of as a branch per se since they are controlled at the regimental level.

The Navy, officially known as the Coast Guard, has a Submarine Service and a Marine Corps. There is some debate about whether the Air Arm is a part of the Navy or the Air Corps.
