The Most Serene Republic of the Master M is a large, stable nation that focuses greatly on its economy, its armed forces and the general well being of its citizens. Founded in 1679, it has steadily progressed both socially and economically from the dark, hapless monarchy that existed before the ‘Spring Revolution’ of that year.
The nation consists of many islands; one large, continent like land mass(commonly referred to as Soventie) , 3 smaller island and finally many hundred small islands. The capital city of Paraiso is one of the oldest cities in the Master M, pre-dating the founding of the first empire as a place of habitation. Another eleven cities can claim to meet the criteria (35 million citizens) for being called a major city, with eight of these being located on the major continent.
The residents of the Most Serene Republic exhibit a wide and varied culture, drawing back to the original settlement of the islands by groups of settlers from different ethnic backgrounds, namely from northern European areas. This is reflected by the large variety in both architecture and languages spoken, varying from region to region.
With a population of roughly two billion, three hundred million souls and a total estimated area of nine million and sixty five thousand square kilometres, the Master M holds roughly two hundred and fifty people per square kilometre.
