Thanksgiving, an Earth holiday, is not celebrated widely by Agymnum citizens. In its place is what Agymnum knows as Knowledge Sharing Day, a day when all businesses are closed and people reflect upon the collective knowledge the nation has gotten from all its citizens.

Traditionally, a huge feast is shared by all the inhabitants of a particular neighborhood or city, with the emphasis being on communication of knowledge between the denizens as they eat and are merry.

Whilst there are no speed limits on the freeway system, law enforcement can decide what a "reasonable" speed would be and they can arrest people for exceeding it, although they do not have to post their limit anywhere.

5 incidents of citizens from Gamma Sector being abducted by an unknown source were recorded at the sector's Central Security Command. Others in the area were temporarily evacuated, and it was then that a UFO was detected flying overhead. Before being able to leave the atmosphere, it was shot down by two Surface-to-air missile batteries and one Surface-to-air laser installation. Imperial troops then stormed inside the craft, and retrieved what appeared to be the bodies of 10 extraterrestrials, matching the 'gray aliens' category.

The 5 that were alive were publicly beaten and executed, after interrogation.

In a move greatly uncharacteristic of the political transparency and freedoms often attribute to the Atmosi government, a new piece of legislation, the ASN Act, was quietly passed. Effective immediately, the national police force was "disbanded" and the new headquarters of the Atmos ShadowNet were buzzing with activity. All public police personnel was transferred to service in the ASN, which from hereon acts as the secret, and sole, police force of Atmos.

Many questioned the reasoning for this, when crime was already virtually unheard of in the nation of Atmos, but it is at least certain that here on this will continue to be the case. Crime, whether occurring or not, will be unheard of. A quick survey of public reaction points to the fact most citizens now feel, "the police force is rumored to be made up of evil shadows with no souls." Will the people of Atmos ever recover from such a bold, and many feel corrupt, move? Time will tell.

(OOC: This, to explain the massive 30+ point drop in Political Freedom and Freedom from Corruption the issue caused. Serves me right for wondering what the option would do. It sounded so much better from the mouth of my head spy though!)

The CSW navy is composed of thirty ballistic missile submarines and a handful of surface ships to keep other submarines away from the coast. All other naval operations have been combined with the Air Force.
