In a pre-dawn raid yesterday, Fatatatutian commandos rescued almost a hundred hostages who were being held by hijackers at an airport in an undisclosed foreign nation. Three C-130 Hercules aircraft flew in at treetop height, under the radar, and landed undetected on a remote corner of the runway. Jeeps were deployed and commandos sped across the tarmac to a cargo shed where the hostages were being held. The hijackers were subdued with stun grenades and tear gas. According to an Army spokesperson, shots were fired and every window in the shed was broken but there were no serious casualties. Several hostages were treated for dehydration and respiratory difficulties.

The freed hostages have been transported to a nearby friendly nation from which they will continue their journeys or return home. The commandos are expected to return to Fatatatutti later this week where they will be welcomed as heroes. They are believed to be a part of a new Rapid Deployment Force being developed under the advice of General Marie-Louise Castro-Stalina, Fatatatutti's leading expert on mobile warfare.
