just as the above name says

*Kidzbop is illegal (screw those kids ruining good songs!!)
*Marijuana is sold with a 65% tax in little baggies
*Nazism is illegal in Judea Oblast.
*Drawing government buildings being eaten by a hippo results in a 50 New Rouble fine.
*Creating a book in which Charussia and China unify results in a 525 New Rouble fine. (except in one book, China is conquered and divided.)

Oh goody..
I used to have the death penalty for attempted suicuide (lolz they were doing it wrong).
Now i have several laws that allow ritual torture and acrifice of prisoners

well, in Jalanat there aren't any weird or unusual laws but the punishment for breaking some laws are quite weird, for example. if you kill the national animal you get a death penalty.

You could probably call all of our laws unusual. They're all just based on common sense, actually, but common sense is rather unusual in today's society. Especially among NS forum users.

New Olwe has the death penalty for cruelty to/murder of the national animal as well.

We also tend more toward weird/unusual punishments than weird/unusual laws, much like Jalanat. New Olwe's justice system is very karma-based, so usually whatever you caused to happen happens to you (let's just say you don't want to commit arson in this country).

Well, urinating in public (for people) results in... um, an unusual punishment that I'm not sure I want to spell out. Let's just say that there aren't all that many repeat offenders. :meh:

Killing the national animal (dragon) without explicit permission for that particular animal from the government, means getting securely bound hand and foot and then tossed in the middle of hungry dragon hatchlings. If you're still alive the next day, what's left of you is hanged, shot and then burned.

Oh, and a private person found to own a firearm will be fined, the gun confiscated, and they can get up to 2 years of probation. Repeat offenders are shot with the gun found in their possession.

Deleted as no longer valid. However, the role of the variety of religions in our Grand Synod is a bit unusual, since it is a strange mix of theocracy and democracy. In fact, our very Constitution is weird or unusual, since every major revision must be approved in a referendum.

In 17ha we have many strange laws, these are the top ten.
1: Nobody may search for Waldo while dressed as Waldo. This results in them being escorted to the real Waldo, who is finding himself in his book while the illustration of him is finding himself in a smaller version of the same book, and the paradox creates a warp in the space time continum which destroys the impersonator instantly.
2: Old people are explicitly forbidden from driving, due to a small town being terrorized by them until the Bob Evans was bombed.
3: It is forbidden for anybody to toss the Emperor's grandmother's cat, because she will cause either a tidal wave or earthquake.
4: All "pop" music as well as Nu-Metal is totally banned from being played in public, due to the risk of our citizenry assaulting them on sight.
5: Murderers, rapists, and home invaders are allowed to be summararily executed by witnesses, family members of victims, and victims themselves.
6: Prisoners have the right to be executed if their sentence is over 15 years and they want to be executed instead of prison. Prisoners also have the right to solitary confinement.
7: A quick execution is guaranteed to all, only gunshots to the head are humane, the bigger the gun, the better.
8: People lacking in common sense are to be institutionalized as insane.
9: Christianity is forbidden in all forms, due to its history of obstructing the will of the people and common sense.
10: Any relationship is allowed between any consenting parties, including marriage. "consenting parties" are sane, over 18, and sober at the time of the marriage.
