President Dashud Yoheem, Nurian Democratic Union

President Dashud Yoheem is the first president of the Anglynovan Federation. During the Anglynovan Civil Wars, Yoheem served as the first and only president of the Theocratic Republic of Tarahnuri. He led the Tarahnurian military against the oppressive southern fascist and communist regimes. After the reunification of Anglynova, Yoheem played a pivotal role in founding the Nurian Democratic Union. The NDU is the political representation of Nurian Islam in Anglyova, which is a form of Sufism unique to Anglynova.

Yoheem's presidency has focused on rebuilding Anglynova and cooperating with parties in the National Assembly. This cooperation, along with prior mistakes by Prime Ministers, has led to a positive view of Yoheem and the NDU by the public. Yoheem is seen as a peace maker, an intellectual, and an everyman.

Prime Minister Narek Davidyan, Nurian Democratic Union

Narek Davidyan is the third prime minister of the Anglynovan Federation, but the first prime minister to represent the Nurian Democratic Union. Davidyan was a medical doctor in Tarahnuri before it broke away from Anglynova. Around this time, Davidyan converted to Nurian Islam and joined the military as a doctor. While serving on the front, he was injured by an Anglynovan shell. While mostly unharmed, his left eye is permanently damaged.

After the war, Davidyan joined the Nurian Democratic Union and represented a county east of Pontsu. After the Pontsu Nuclear Disaster, he served his country in the Second Anglynovan Civil War as a doctor. After reunification, Davidyan became a representative to the National Assembly from Nor Bayazat county. Due to his service to Anglynova and his reputation both in his community and the NDU, he was appointed to a high ranking position in the party.

Davidyan's election as Prime Minister was coupled with an unprecedented NDU success. The NDU holds 200/325 seats in the National Assembly. Davidyan plans to draw back the Liberal Nationalist's laissez-faire policies and extend the state safety net to tackle poverty. In addition, Davidyan seeks to put more support towards culture, specifically Nurian Islam.

Eugène Bergeron (born 1951) is the current Salois President, and is a member of the Conservative Party. He narrowly won the 2007 presidential elections in a 51% to 49% run-off vote. His policies have been described as "neoliberal" and "socially conservative," despite his parties' declared policy of social liberalism. He is widely expected to lose the imminent election, after the embarrassing defeat of his parties' center-right parliamentary alliance, the People's Union, to the democratic socialist Left Front in last week's legislative election.


Guillaume Pépin (born 1966) is the recently elected Prime Minister of Saluterre, and is the leader of the Social Democratic Party. He became Head of the Opposition in the 2009 Legislative Elections after collecting the Salois left and center-left parties into the Left Front. He gained the position of head of government in last week's legislative election, his electoral coalition winning 135 out of 300 seats, and his individual party winning 93. If Eduard Clavet, Social Democratic nominee for president, wins, it will be an affirmation of support for his left-wing government.
