We have very few enemies. China is our nations biggest rival due to our proximity to eachother and because we rival eachother economically, culturally, and politically. Iran is another nation due to our past brawls with one another.

Any and every country that refuses to submit to our will, engages in activities we do not like, and/or has natural resources we find desirable is deemed an enemy and we set ourselves to take them out.

Canada from 1972-2012 was also considered an enemy, but are now close allies.

In 1894, New York declared independence from the United States, leading to a two-year war for independence. In 1916, the United States invaded during the First Great War in an attempt to regain New York but failed and by 1918 the war ended. In 1940, the United States tried again, occupying most of the country for three years, but by 1945, the war ended when New York forces marched on Washington D.C. While no war has taken place since, tensions flared up in 2012 when New York announced its claims on the Pocono region (The territory between the Delaware and Susquehanna Rivers) as a state in New York.

The reason for France and Spain is that the two countries supported the United States in 1894-1896 by sending troops to put down the revolution (Or try to), and sent troops to assist the United States in both the First Great War and Second Great War. France became a Cold War ally of the USSR in the 1950s and 60s, and while tensions have died down, many still remember France as a Cold War enemy. In 2001, it was discovered Spain helped to fund terrorist attacks on New York City, so ties were completely cut. In 2011, a revolution overthrew the Spanish government, so talks have begun again between our government and theirs.

As for Canada, it wasn't really Canada being an enemy, they just possessed something New York wanted. After eight years of war in Cuba during the 1960s and early 70s, New York was in debt. President Ed Koch in 1972 sold North Country to Canada to help relieve the debt. Nationalist movements have since fought a diplomatic war to reclaim the land. The argument being that Canada never paid all the money for North Country, and that the recession is preventing Canada from paying New York back. Tensions died down though since New York and Canada are in secret talks to return North Country by the end of the year.

Hell, even the Villista rebels had some sort of moral compass. Today, the Confederacy's enemies are the real dregs of humanity. Here's a list of them:

The United States is an enemy of Gentes for the simple reason of not minding it's own business, and continually defiling Impius Gentes in the 80's with foreign agents trying to set up military standpoints. A missile launched near their capital from us seemed to get them to leave in the early 90's.

Columbia is the land of indignity and stupidity, in the fact that their (the people's) only way to gain actual monetary subsistence is through the defiling of the world through drugs. We appose this, everything about it, and plead that the country actually grow to a point where people can work for the good of something.

The Taliban and Al Queda, being muslim extremist groups that have attacked gentes and its Torrekian affiliates, are obviously a nuisance and enemy to the nation. We allow freedom of and or from religion in Gentes, and the shoving of such blatant ignorance of a singular and forcing religion is disgusting.
