There are lots of vital and essential things. Does that mean your military has lots of backbones?

Personally, I would say the backbone of the military is the logistics branch, but that's just me.

In high-intensity warfare still no one is going to resort to nuclear war for the simple fact that no one save Hitler and guys who go crazy with conspiracy theories in their moms' basements.¹ Of course Artillery is a crucial tool... but if you had no Infantry what are you going to do bomb every inch of an enemies territory until everyone is dead...² and unless it's a nuke you're even killing cockroaches...³

This is not Biblical times where God ordered the Hebrews to kill the people the crops and the livestock of an enemy.⁴ You only need to kill enemy combatants.⁵ Infantry does that without having to destroy everything people love.⁶ It's already bad enough to take their loved ones lives on the battlefield.⁷ But after they run home because you bomb them to shit they still have to be killed which means artillery bombings on innocence...⁸

1) Except every RL nation with nuclear weapons adores them utterly to the point of believing that they are the best tool for defeating massed enemy concentrations, and every RL tactical manual since the 1950s has included a section on nuclear attack.
2) No, but I'll bomb every inch of the enemy's territory with artillery until I think it's safe enough to assault. Bombing until everyone is dead almost impossible since you need the infantryman to close with an assault.
3) Actually, fruit flies have better resistance to radiation than cockroaches.
4) No, but that's a really, really good idea still.
5) Unless the civilians pick up guns too, or the enemy decides it might be fun to hide in a city. Better bomb all of them with repeated NBC weapons and bypass them.
6) People die in war, though, and most infantrymen are trained to shoot first and ask questions later. Asking questions gets you shot.
7) Sucks for their loved ones, it's a text based game.
Civilians should have left if they didn't want to be bombed.

I don't exactly like the Skirt idea. But The Wood I'm alright with replacing some of it.

But I was more over talking about styles. The Boiler I'm know I'm going to Armour but I'm not exactly sure how it should look.

well try a layered look, overlapped armour.put your nations logo on the side of the boiler or bed armour
