Death metal and power metal are the de jure national music genres. Nearly all other forms of music are minority and underground.

Lotsa' Jazz and Blues going around right now. People are playing the sax like crazy, and radio stations play a lot of "sex music" these days.

Reactionary population boom expected.

It's all about the rap, preferably fast paced.
The Queen of quips, the Sultan of snickering, the President of puns, the Generalissimo of jollity, the Tsar of zingers, the Guru of guffaws, the Jam Sahib of jokes, the Maharajah of mirth, the Chhatrapati of cheer, the Poligar of punch lines, the Rao Bahadur of revelry, the Baivarapatish of bullshit, the Chief Executive of chuckles, the Managing Director of merriment, the Deputy Financial Officer of damn funny observations, the Satrap of satire, who'll never give you a flat tire, 'cos she's not that dire, she used to have testicles, she still wears spectacles, the Edith Piaf of amateur table tennis (she regrets nothing about her backhand smashes) and the self-declared inventor of the prawn burrito... Definitely Rock, Alternative, some Pop, but all in all, I've just got a weak spot for anything with a catchy tune. I have the not-so-guilty pleasure of having songs from Classic Disney movies filling up my mp3.

for lack of a better name, sound sculpture. (sometimes called sonic webs or sonic oceans)

this can consist of any sequence and/or combination of sounds, found pleasant to cameroi ears.

(the singing or chanting of a recognizable text, in time and tune, with or without melodic accompaniment, is not a major popular form of entertainment.)

entertainment is also almost never traded for valuable consideration, but, like all other forms of creative expression, a celebration of sapience and simply a gratifying part of every day life to participate in the creation of.

the sounds which are made naturally by living organisms and by self mobile artifacts and those with moving parts, are the favorite sounds to be heard by cameroi, when not engaged in making "music" deliberately.
truth isn't what i say. isn't what you say. isn't what anybody says. truth is what is there, when no one is saying anything.

Alternative Rock is very popular here. Though citizens also listen to other genres such as Hip Hop, R&B, Metal, Pop and even Country. Though, there are certain areas where Dragish music is popular (any set of music in Dragion's second language).

Swing music has seen a resurgence in recent years, after the dominance of smooth jazz in the 70's-90's.

Classic Rock and Metal are popular in the CSC. The President listens to an odd combo of Rock, Metal, Blues, Swing, and Jazz.

Our traditional music is called "Lyrerpock guitidroomsung". It's similar to 70's rock but played with a kind-of guitar called "Mjusikleu" with fourteen white Kryptonite strings and four more made of recycled paper under the bridge.
This is our Prime Minister and best Mjusikleu player, Mr Pipperus Rocke Kalayatas:

Our favourite singers are Nyan Cat and Freddie Mercury.
