During the presidency of Strom Thurmond (1948-1992), numerous Mesitzo- and black-rights groups declared war on the Confederate government and were classified as terrorists. (Regardless of the righteousness or wickedness of their cause, the tactics they used were unquestionably terrorist, as well as general banditry and other types of guerrilla warfare.) The most notable of these groups was the EVLN, the Ejercito Villista Liberacion Naciónal (Villista National Liberation Army).
(They're like a norteño version of these guys).

Since the passage of the Confederate Civil Rights Act of 1995, the violence has largely ended, and the EVLN has reformed as the PVLN (Partido Villista Liberacion Naciónal -- the Villista National Liberation Party), but more-extreme elements carry on the fight and still launch the occassional terrorist attack to this day.

Yannia has had a few terrorist groups, but most of them were short-lived. One group still remains today: the Army of God.

The Army of God has its basis in Northwestern Yannia, where Christians form a sizable minority. The group's goal is the establishment of a government based on Christian ideology, including abolishment of the tolerant policies towards (other) religions, nudity, pornography, prostitution, abortion, euthanasia & drugs.

Yannians first heard of the Army of God in shortly after Yannian resistance fighters started covert warfare to reclaim the land occupied by Vassfforcia, when in 1764 the Army of God joined the side of the Vassfforcian invaders.

Once Yannia ousted the Vassfforcians in 1806, the group formed a political party under the name of Party of God (which even held one or two seats in the national assembly), but turned back to violent extremism when it became clear their values were not being accepted by the majority of Yannians.

The first act of terrorism of the new Army of God was the rather unsuccesful arson attack on the houses of parliament in 1812. Although some damage was done, most of it was repaired the next day. The culprits were found after an extensive six week search, and tried the next year. All received prison sentences of six to eight years.

Since then Yannia has known periods of relative calm, punctuated by brief terrorist campaigns, the last of which occurred in the 1950s. Recent indications are that the Army of God is preparing another major campaign.

Is a terrorist group about 50 people strong. It doesn't get much attention because nobody in The Commonwealth is truly oppressed, though there are things to complain about. They're mostly extremely conservative hate mongers.

They were 100 strong at one point, but most of their operatives were arrested.
