What is the meaning of your capital city's name?

Redport. It was originally named Woodquay but that changed after Hermit King came into power.

It is called Redport because of the redbrick warehouses along the cities ports. The city walls are also coated in a red plaster as is the Keep, thus earning it the name Redport.

[Equalium]

Capiqualium was named for it to be the Capital of the nation of Equalium. Usually, when the ruler is in the last spot of a city that is unnamed with "Qualium", it gets renamed to that city after the ruler. However, Capiqualium is an exception, for it was founded by Socialist Revolutionists who already named it before they died.

[Estainia]

Alexandrovsk can't be properly translated though it means Alexei's City.

[Olwe]

It's named after our first Empress, Nariel, who was assassinated nearly 2,000 years ago.

Milldale. It was founded and so named by the first English settlers on the island of Waspeaters. They called it Milldale because they thought that it sounded traditionally English, not because anyone was actually from anywhere called Milldale.

Oberbachstein is built on a mountain, and has the Selz river passing right underneath it.
It was founded many, many centuries ago, and was always called like it is today.
Oberbachstein also has its own Platz (Kingdom) surrounding it since many centuries ago.

Olympia was so named because the settlers who came to the area that is now the capital of Grand Vancouver by one of their group because the Olympia Mountains to the northwest were visible from the site.

[TurtleShroom]

Jonesboro is named after Jones Found, the founder of TurtleShroom.
Found brought peace to TurtleShroom's bickering about the state's structure and handpicked the first government. Although most of his past was never actually know, we do know that Found was a mysterious, devotedly religious man who united TurtleShroom under one Constitution. The idea of using frying pans was his idea and arose first out of neccesity, then out of respect. His compromises brought gender equality (total when before the law) to TurtleShroomer humans in appeasement to the female-controlled turtles, gave order to the turtle tribes, and gave ceremony and unity to the mushrooms. Placed under one Christian banner, TurtleShroom ultimately switched its state denomination to a specific denomination, Southern Baptist Christianity, when Found left.

All accounts of Jones repeat basic facts, including the narrative of Jones above. (He also left behind many writings that help back these statements.)
For one, Jones was Slavic in origin and reportedly spoke Ukrainian and some Russian. His English was very broken, if not bordering incomprehensible, though he could write basic Christian sentiments like "Jesus is Lord" or his own name. The capital city of Themiclesia is Lyttonwic, which really doesn't mean anything in English, other than being the compound of Lytton+wic, meaning roughly Lytton-settlement.

However, the root word is actually 'lylytokonos' which means in our language 'had forgotten'.

Archoniopolii means "the supreme city", as it is the nation's capital and also home to the government and imperial family.

Màlsi has no exact meaning in modern Thakorian. "Màl" is most likely connected to Albanian "mal" meaning mountain. In Thakorian it's considered an archaic word as a mountain is now "thakor" in Thakorian (yeah, country's name also means "Mountainous land"). -si might be some locative suffix but no one knows for sure.

Lorence was sited on the site of an old monastery dedicated to St. Lawrence. Monasteries were some of the few permanent settlements in ancient Vyvland, and often controlled a wide and defined area of the country, and as such, many major towns of today were situated next to or near them.

Trinity was named so by Pope Martin V in 1430 after the cession of the island to the Papal States following the Treaty of Rome. Previously, the island had been named Freyjasholm by its Norse inhabitants, as was the city. Obviously, Trinity was named after the Catholic Holy Trinity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit as the Papacy attempted to forge Valkyrine into a new holy alnd.
