Fix the rear sights.
Muck with the stock, something tells me it... needs something.
Gas block 2 barrel needs more clunk.

I think it's because the stock doesn't angle down, like an AK-type stock would, and is too high for the sights? I remember I had that issue with my SA-AR-3 rifle.

I want the stock to be on a level higher than the barrel because that will significantly dampen recoil (or at least the muzzle climb effect). It seemed to work when I measured it with the sights but I'll take another scale measurement to check.

Incidentally, I hope I'm not the only one who's noticed that loadsa NS rifles have their sights too low / stocks too high. Even designers like Lyras are guilty of this, and I think one of Anemos's battle rifles has a suspiciously low sight profile as well (though I can't remember if this is so).

?

Only battle rifle I've done is this:

where the stock is already quite low.

Yeah that's the one. Funny, the profile doesn't look as bad as I remembered it - my apologies.

Still, a lot of NS rifle sight profiles aren't too great, especially on bullpups.

Just wondering, if that stock is telescoping, what does it look like folded out or is it already so?

You're too kind.

Like this, I'd guess.

So why is it that your telescoping stock, if anything, makes the rifle less compact? Closed, it's the same length as the standard stock, open it's much longer.

I got a lot of that with my original SA-AR-1 lineart.
But that did start with lolhuge sights front and rear, they were probably about 2 inches above the gun. Most of the suggestions were about moving them.

Better or worse?

Are you going for a cutting/ bludgeoning weapon, thrusting weapon, or general use?

General use. It's a spatha basicly. But they like to cut more then the Romans.
For the Angel of Death spread his wings on the blast,
And breathed in the face of the foe as he passed;
And the eyes of the sleepers waxed deadly and chill,
And their hearts but once heaved, and for ever grew still!

Spatha was adopted by the Romans because the barbarians that made up the near entirety of the army by then didn't like the thrusting of the gladius

Well, STANAG-compliant, but the aluminium box was the original STANAG basis.

And that's not necessarily true. The FAMAS F1, for example.

G36 too. And I think the SIG SG 550 as well.

There're swords in the gun thread. Many of them.

wasn't it also that it wanted to improve it's cavalry core to combat the goth who whipped using lancers at the battle of Adrianople? Also, try a Type XIa, it's still broad , so it could cut and crush well, blade is shorter that a Type XI and has a better point and pommel than a type X. If they had been paying attention to cavalry, they would have adopted curved swords, like the Byzantines that would soon arise.

The Spatha is a development brought on by Germanic mercenaries in the Roman Legions being more comfortable with their native long swords then weedy little daggers. The cavalry naturally adopted them as being better then anything else.

Aye but at first glance, wood and cold British steel are the indicators of musketry present on the firearm, wot!+

Ah, I see; common mistake.

Basically, instead of clicking ''very light grey'' for the bayonet's steel you've clicked ''weird ass fucking blue''.

This is pretty common amongst those new to the business, there's no shame in it and it's easy to fix!

Aside from that, loliknownothingaboutguns.
