My nation's military information is highly classified, but I can say that militants in my nation use the cheap and stereotypical yet extremely practical AK-47.

Unless your nation resides in the 1960s, can I say please no?
AKM or AK-74. Or, if you're slightly in the future, AK-100 series.

The AKM is easier to make than the AK-47, though. Cheaper, too.

If you want to go AK earliest you go is AKM then upgrade to the 74 as soon as possible. If you are a third world dictatorship hellhole, hang onto the AKMs and just keep them uptodate. AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD MAKE SURE THEY'RE RUSSIAN AND NOT CHINESE.

You can make stamped receivers quicker and cheaper than machined receivers, this is only one of the reasons the AKM > AK-47 in every single way.

The '47 was only in Russian service for 10 years until 1959 when it was replaced with the AKM.
Hence my point about the name 'AK-47' being thrown about, when no-one actually uses the damn thing today.

North Korea. But these are the folks who use bolt action rifles still as well.

'AK-47' is thrown about because it's the gun which all other AK's are derived from, the spiritual ancestor etc etc. It's not until you get to this new fangled AN-94 do you see Mother Russia abandoning tried and true.

Bolt action rifles are more accurate than repeaters.

It's not hate... more mild dislike.
The way that the stock and grip are connected, but so slightly, just doesn't sit with me. Either make the pistol grip a real part of the stock (not sure how to better phrase that), or separate them.
