How do you treat your males, females, and children?

Postby Justorica » Thu Sep 24, 2009 7:29 pm

Do you treat one group better? If so, what privileges does this group get that the other 2 don't? And what can this group do to the other 2 that they can't do back?

Justorica treats all groups equally.

It's probably safe to say that Fatatatutian children are treated better. There are virtually no restrictions on what children are 'allowed' to do. You learn from your mistakes and Fatatatutians like their children to learn as quickly as possible.

Having said that, there are very few restrictions on adults either, although adults are expected to be more responsible. For example, children would be expected to set off a whole truckload of fireworks at once to see what happens. Adults would be expected to have a fire extinguisher handy.

Sounds like a very effective, yet destructive, casualty full, damage repair cost ridden, way to treat people. But, who am I to judge.

In Kerden, all are equal, but some have more responsibilities.

Children are not as pampered as they are in other countries, but are responsible for their actions. Of course, a mistake is a mistake, and after a certain age, actions may have legal repercussions if the need be. Of course, actions are to only go as far as they need to.

Parents of these children are to be responsible for raising them right. All adults are also accountable for their actions, and must follow the laws.

There is to be no discrimination against genders. Man and women have even say, even work, and even pay. Men are not given more rights, for their gender, and the law is not lenient with women for the same reasons. I have seen other countries where these things do in fact happen.

Household units in Gleeson tend to operate with the men providing overall leadership, financial support and security, women managing the mechanics of the household, and children well treated but clearly subordinate to elders.

This is the standard, but there are certainly exceptions, especially in the cities.

There is virtually no distinction, as Maraquean children are taught from a young age essential skills and trades, and are therefore more mature and use more rational thought and logic than a typical child.

There are no rights given to adults (male and female) that children do not have - there are just laws restricting when some of these rights are granted.

For the most part, there's equality. However, women are allowed to get away with more in the way of public nudity and sexual aggressiveness, and children don't earn certain rights until they reach certain ages (for example, they can't drink alcohol before age 15).

Males and females are treated equally by the law, and children are treated as more fragile, so more care is exerted and less freedoms given. however, once one becomes a teenager, samples of such freedoms (other than smoking and alcohol) are given, and all teenage votes are counted in a seperate section. Also, teenagers are given around the same respect as an adult would get from an older citizen. However, they are also held to the same extent of the law that adults are.

Men and women are equal. Under our constitution, no more than half of members of parliament may be female, and no more than half may be male. The age of majority for most purposes is 13. Children below this age can vote if they want do, but voting is only compulsory for people aged 13 and above.(The compulsory voting law is not enforced). Children over the age of eight have the right to choose their household of residence. The Lesbian Collective is the only mass organisation to exclude males. The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is also a mass organisation, and only men may apply to be become nuduloj.

In the Name of the Eternal Kawaii, may the Cute One be praised

The Cute One has instructed us that men and women are fundamentally different creatures with different social needs and obligations. Job-roles are segregated by sex, with some for men (such as military service and interpretation of law) and others for women (such as police work, diplomacy, and the care of children and sacred objects). Strict sex-segregation in social settings is also maintained to avoid occasions of scandal, so it is common to find "men only" and "women only" services and facilities in Kawaiian territory.

Neither male nor female is considered inferior in the eyes of the Cute One. Our people have a custom, referred to as "men's time" and "women's time", that regulates primacy within the family and social settings to a calendar tied to the motions of the planet Venus. Foreigners visiting Kawaiian territory are advised to consult this calendar to avoid social faux pas.

Our children are treated with the utmost care but also with strict supervision. Kawaiian law does not recognize the concept of "juvenile delinquency". Juveniles, by definition, are incapable of the moral reasoning needed to make them subject to Holy law. Offenses by juveniles are the legal responsibility of their parents and extended family, and it is Kawaiian custom that the family is solely responsible for the behavior of their offspring.

Mama says both males and females are the same to Her, even if they do think differently some times, so we should treat them like She does. Children are especially dear to Her, so She teaches us carefully how to raise them.

Set gender is sooooo out of fashion, in todays world most people switch their genders as much as a metrosexual drinks coffee.

Children though are ruled under their parents hands...and over thier knees.

Treatment of adults and children

Postby Cinistra » Tue Sep 29, 2009 5:26 am

There is gender equality in Cinistra. Children are treated as future human resources, they need to be nurtured, protected, educated and disciplined.
"Send forth all legions! Do not stop the attack until the city is taken! Slay them all!"
>Can I invade other people's regions?

Yes. The practice of "region crashing," where a group of nations all move to a region with the aim of seizing the WA Delegate position, is part of the game. Certain groups within NationStates are particularly adroit at this, and can attack very quickly.
>Once I've taken over a region, can I eject everyone else?

You can try. Invader Delegates tend to have very little Regional Influence, which makes ejecting long-time residents difficult. But Delegates can be as kind, generous, evil, or despotic as they wish. It's up to regional residents to elect good Delegates.

Legally, men and women are equal; in practice, this is not the case, as Verdeguay is a very patriarchical (patriarchal? I can never remember which word is correct) society. Spousal abuse is, sadly, fairly common, and women earn much lesser than men, and sometimes have sparser educational opportunities.

Children are well loved, but child labor does exist in parts of the country, and sometimes conditions are deplorable. Children do not become full citizens (i.e., able to vote, and all that good stuff) until they reach the age of 18.
This nation does NOT reflect my RL views.
