Seraphinism is an extremely liberal religion, and the official religion of Liriena since 1553 A.D. (but other religions are legal, and fully protected by the National Constitution of 1646). To be allowed to rule, the Archduke must be a Seraphinist.

Seraphinism's supreme authorities are the Archduke and the Grand Council of the National Church of Seraphinism.

It's based around the worship of over two hundred Angels, believed to be immortal, loving and harmonious deities.

They are said to have created the Universe, and then gave it free will, while still keeping watch over their children (humans). Their Law was passed on through the Angelical Lyrics, a series of 35 poems allegedly written by the angels., that explain the mythology, the practices and rules by which Seraphinists must rule themselves. The most important rules for Seraphinists are:

-Love everyone, for all love is sacred. Thus, no expression of love shall be frowned upon, and all forms of love shall be entitled to be united under our Sacrament of Alliance. (This one law was primordial for the relatively early legalization of homosexuality, premarital sex and same-sex marriage in Liriena)

-Do not harm any of your brothers and sisters. Should you harm your brothers and sisters, you must repent to them, for harming your brothers and sisters is the gravest sin.

-Find happiness for yourself, but deny not happiness to any of your fellow brothers and sisters

-All Angels are equal, and so are all men and women

-Seek wisdom, for nothing is more divine than wisdom.

-All of our children are free to tread any path they so wish in their lives. None shall be denied that liberty, nor shall they be denied entrance into the Heavenly Realm, so long as they have never harmed a fellow man.

-Those who do not believe in us commit no sin, for we believe in them. So, you shall not frown upon their lack of faith, nor persecute them for it, for they still are Our children.

-When in need, speak to any of Us, your Angels, and We shall provide.
