Your Naval Operations operators don't seem to have a skin-tight suit that completely covers them, or a pressurized helmet that maintains a complete view.

Don't worry, I'm tempted to put up somethign unatrractive.

OOC: Though my "Naval Suit", apart from being visually "pleasant" was more of a joke, seeing as how it's clearly more bulky than the other one, due to the bubble. This is option B, because the gender of the wearer is ambiguous, it can be imaginable that the operator is a woman.

L4D reference, correct? A combination Hell itself rejected, that. But not even a Tank/Witch hybrid would stand a chance against a 120 mm cannon.

How you know?

Well, if tanks can barely do it, I doubt a mass of flesh, muscle and bone could withstand it. It is an impossibility.

I wasn't strictly complaining.

It's really just how my military functions. Partly because of weapon requirements. Partly because of Doctrine.

But they are skin-tight :meh:

My nation is pretty pervy with their military doctrine.

Yeah Samozaryadnyastan, and I always lampshade Imperial--japan and The Seven Realms for their unusual military getup too. Like in this topic too.

OOC: Partly because it's funny and partly because no real military force in their right mind would issue uniforms like those. It's like a bizzare wish-fulfillment fantasy and a distraction. My IC military doctrine is way different, this is the most revealing uniforms get.

Scantly clad women, more like tanks
seem to be blowing up everyones banks
with airstrikes from girls with wings to their knees
which show a bit more than just their panties

Well we're no normal military. :p

Well, don't feel too un-normal. I liked the MPs you posted. They seemed somewhat realistic. Though if I may make a commentary I do find it ironic that for Imperial Japan your uniforms are rather occidental, and in my case though I'd be somewhat western everything looks like it was made by the PRC.

You are welcome. You have my permission to perpetuate this in your sig to anyone who uses witches. :p

I just watched the pilot of Strike Witches.
It appears to be solely about nekos and crotch shots, for lulz.

What series does it move into 'modern' aircraft and Tank Witches?

Never, at least in canon. All the modern aircraft versions are fanmade.

Also, keep going. The plot kicks in around episode 3. It gets good.

None really. Strike Witches spurred a web-wide quest to anthropomorphize military equipmment as a cheap way to make graphically pleasing (to a male demographic) female figures and cheap fanservice...as you can see, it's not my thing.

Not that I know of, but I think Tank Witches already existed in the series, they just never get shown.

I think

Actually, it started well before that. And really, the fanservice I could do with or without. It's distracting at times, but I don't really mind it. The characters are awesome.

My military is pretty insane.

We like wasting money on over-sized or seemingly impractical weapons.

Well, for FanTech it's perfect...but for practical use, they'd suck. The only war I've participated in involved the opponent using blister agents and me using VX, scantily clad tank girls writhing in pain hapless to stop the gas isn't very pleasant.

I supply gas masks just in case for aviation Witches. Normally, I try to avoid sending them out against enemies with gas at all costs.
