The United States has a temperate climate, with plentiful rainfall all year round. The temperature varies with the seasons but rarely drops below −10 °C or rises above 35 °C . The prevailing wind is from the northwest, bearing frequent spells of mild and wet weather from the Ocean. Eastern parts are most sheltered, by the 'Ridgeline' series of hills, from this wind and are therefore the driest. Sea currents, warmed by the Gulf Stream, bring mild winters, especially in the west, where winters are wet, especially over high ground. Summers are warmest in the south east, and coolest in the north. Snowfall can occur in winter and early spring, though it rarely settles to great depth away from high ground.
There are four main cities, and a capital. The Capital is Stockport, and is situated central to the country. Surronded by the Ridgeline, the River Marsy runs though the city. Much of the Government is based out of the Capital, and the Presidential Compount was built on a large island in the middile of the River. The other four cities are Denton, Gorton, Marsy way and Torton. There are numerous other towns around the country, that would likely grow as the population increases. The US is surronded on two sides by coastline, which consists of tall clifts and secluded bay. The main bay is where Gorton is the main port. The US is bordered by mountains on its north border, from which the River Marsy, and most of the other rivers flow from.
History
The United States was historically a dictator ship. For Hundreds of years, the US was under the leadership of a succesive line of King like leaders. The Population put up with this as they were well treated and the country flourished. The Kings led the US into an era of seclusion from the international community which led to a decline in the country. This decline then led to the Rebellion. This rebellion eventually ousted the last king, who had been notorious for his cruelty. A provisional government was set up until an Election could take place. The winner of this election was a man Named James Trask, who has become the countries first President, he was inauguriated on September 23rd 2009.
Military
The US Military is small at this point and undermanned and underarmed. But the following military is planned.
UNITED STATES ARMY
The US-A will responsbile for the protection of the US and it's assests when they are on the ground. The Army will be de facto led by the president, but in practice is lead by a Field Marshhel, who makes up the Army portion of the Combat Council.
UNITED STATES AIR FORCE
The US-AF will be resonsibile for the protection of the US and it's assests when in the air, or within striking distance from airbourne contacts. The Air Force will be de facto led by THe President, but in practise is led by a Air Chief Marshel, who makes up the Air Force Portion of the Combat Council
UNITED STATES NAVY
THe US-N will be responsbile for the Protection of the US and it's assesst when on the Oceans, or withing striking distance from the sea. The Navy will be de facto led by the President, but in practise is led by a Fleet Admiral, who makes up the air force portion of the Combat Council. The US-N also encourporates the US Marine Corps, who are headed up by a Commandant, who serves on the Combat Council.
UNITED STATES COAST GUARD
THE US-CG will be responsible for the Protection of US civvilian shipping, as well as providing Maritime law enforcement. THe US-CG will also provide search and rescue services. The Coast Guard will be De Facto led by the President, but will in practice be led by a Commandant who makes up the Coast Guard portion of the Combat Council.
Government
The US is led by a President, who holds Executive power in the Country. He will be advised by a Cabinet of advisors, and in military matters, the Combat Council. He will be supported by a Vice President who will take over if he is no longer able to fufil his duties. He will be subject to scrutiny by the House of the State. THe President is elected every four years, for a four year term, and may only serve two terms.
The House of the State is made up of Elected representatives from the seperate States of the United States. Each serves a four year term, and may run for as many years as they can. The House of The State holds Legaslative power.
The United States Court System holds Judicial power. It's duty is to uphold the laws of the United States and to ensure that it's government is run according to the rule of law.
Each State is led by a Governor who is elected every four years for a four year term, and my run for as many terms as they can.
