Proposed replacement of the L85A2 will undergo initial testing in 2028. Little is known about it at this time, only that the European Commission has expressed the desire to expand manufacturing beyond the UK

Since we are in the Northern European area, the New Cordian Castle Arms or UMWS corporations might be willing to aid in the production and development of the proposed replacement.

That round at the bottom there is a 7.62x51mm cartridge, for scale (the round this is to be chambered in).

It all looks... off... now that I've put that in.
Have my scalings derped?
It's supposed to lend features of both the M240 and PK.

Based on some very rough scaling of images found online, the MAG receiver is about 86-88mm deep.

Your receiver is about 96px deep, but your round is about 64px long, making the receiver about 106mm deep - way bigger than the MAG.

Try putting everything into 1px:mm and it'll be a lot easier to see relative scale.

?
The cartridge is 72px long, but the receiver is indeed 96px tall.
Of course this means it's wrong, but meh. The case is also 52mm long.

LAHAT is a 105mm missile used in Israeli (120mm) tank guns, but can also be adapted for helicopter launch or recoilless rifle, so why not for an infantry ATGM?

Sounds good, but I want the option of "jump up" from the Javilin, as wells as the duel-stage warhead of the RPG-32 for ERA trollins. Also need the missile to be transferable between Loggerhead and Infantry without modification. Is that possible?

When I skimmed the LAHAT article, it didn't seem to drastically change between tank and helicopter versions, so probably not to any potential infantry version, I guess.

What do you mean "jump up" from Javelin? If you mean top-attack, the LAHAT will do that. Hence why I'm not demanding you upgun to a bigger calibre missile :P

not really, unless you are going to use an external launcher ala Spike LR on Puma and Bill-2 with its proposed CV-90 fittings.

A ground launcher for LAHAT could be derived from its air launched version if you really wanted to do that but then you are left with a system thats weight competitive with Spike MR/LR but without the cool NLOS capabilities. You migth still have to attach a launch cartridge to the base of a LAHAT round to fire it from a gun barrel, thigns are terribly clear in that regard.

Javelin already has a tadem warhead

Still needs some more fine trimming and finish work and such done to the grip, but it's perfectly usable as-is. Just not the most comfortable at the moment. The cool part is that the pistol grip gives me even better leverage to where I can drop the barrel, kick out the round, put in a fresh one, and flick my wrist to close the barrel again. 8)

My father's helping me, and he decided he wanted to shoot it. All we have are 3-inch magnum turkey loads, so he gave it a death grip and held it off to his side. Kicked pretty bad even at that. Definitely not shooting this until I find some 2.75" Buckshot...

OK folks, the Shoulder-Launched, Multi-Purpose Guided Missile, Type 231 "Archer" System

Image

Included are the missile itself (Arrow), Missile tube (Quiver) and the Launcher Unit (Bow). The Arrow Missile comes in several variants, and can be launched from Helicopters, Tanks, APCs, MATUV utility trucks, and of course the Bow launcher. Most common varients include: Silver Arrow, an anti-armor rocket equipped with a duel charge to defeat Explosive Reactive Armor and a depleted uranium penetration rod followed by a 105mm high explosive charge. The Silver Arrow is designed for top-attack, much like the Javelin rocket, and can take out most tanks and Light Armored Vehicles with a single hit. The Fire Arrow, an incendiary variant intended for use against jungle cover and personnel. Typically helicopter-launched, though it is available for infantry and Armor. The Golden Arrow, a high-explosive variant designed to penetrate bunkers and other fortifications. Like the Silver Arrow, it is capable of top-attack. All "Arrow" type rockets are capable of using four guidance systems, for redundancy and further multi-purpose use: Thermal, Built-in Laser, External Laser Designation and Computer-Guided. In Thermal mode, the rocket is locked onto a heat signature, and tracks it. In Built-in Laser, the laser guide from the Helicopter, Armored Vehicle or Shoulder Launcher is used to paint the target. In External Laser Designation, the rocket locks onto a signal from an infantry laser designation device, allowing it to be launched behind cover and guided by a forward scout, or helicopter-launched and infantry guided. In Computer-Guided mode the rocket is launched, then taken over by the BattleNet System, which guides it to it's target using GPS and other methods. This allows the rocket to be fired at a target outside of visual range, and used like artillery. The Archer System has a range of 11 km, and weighs 6 lbs, unloaded. The rocket canister weighs 7 lbs 5lbs or 6 lbs, depending on variant.

Son of a whore. I almost cut the grip too short on my shotgun. :?

I'm going to see if my long-time friend's father will shape it for me. He's made his own gun stocks before, so I think a simple smoothed-out pistol grip should be pretty easy for him. If it ends up being a tad bit short, I'll probably just wrap it in -- you guess it -- electrical tape like I do everything else.
